3 years ago I would have agreed with this, that homosexual sounds too clinical, and only the evangelicals call us homosexuals and not gays and lesbians. But I know now this is not about that, these organizations want to erase sexuality based on sex, and move it to based on gender, so they can be inclusive to trans at the expense of the lgb. So online I will often say homosexual even though I prefer gay, because we can’t let the sex be taken out of a movement started to fight discrimination based on choice of same sex partners.
