The KKK might have killed someone back in the early 80s, they never really proved that one way or the other. Even the SPLC in a brief moment of honesty admitted that the KKK isn't a potent force in America at this point.

Roughly 20% of US veterans are African American.

These men and women are not ok with the treason, and subversion of the Constitution.

BLM is a different thing than black America. There are black people who are great: veterans, patriots, and all that. BLM seems to mostly be loud mouth leftie assholes, black supremacists, black separatists, and violent revolutionaries. This isn't based on the MSM, this is based on reading their own site's about/philosophy pages, reading or watching interviews with BLM leadership, and reading articles written by BLM leadership.

You can hate BLM, the organization, without discounting the message that black lives matter.

I'd say identity studies aren't real academics by virtue of lacking rigor, lacking consistent models, and being unable to do studies that produce reproducible results. At best identity studies is a laundry list of gripes, with associated labels. Even soft sciences and humanities try to be something other than pure opinion, they do more than create mere labels and pretend it is useful knowledge.

Your point about us not taking the radicals seriously is a valid critique of American culture. We thought radicalized students would grow out of it because that was what used to happen.

I don't really know. I know that 60s radicals have been moving in this direction for a long time and have slowly accumulated institutional power, but that doesn't really explain why we let them get away with it. There was nothing inevitable about the capture and corruption of higher education in the US.

The only reason I hesitate to post a link is that the open editing document has already been vandalized, I'd hate to give them a reason to blame us.

Here's an archived link to the IG group image though: http://archive.md/OO6k3

I don't have a problem with gender studies within the context of sociology (or psychiatry or biology). The topic of gender is certainly worth discussing and thinking about. But current year gender studies and the other identity studies disciplines are not science, they aren't even really disciplines, they are pure dogma. I think we as a society need to stop subsidizing that sort of thing.

As much as I absolutely despise gender studies, this would be the wrong approach for the US. What we need to do is defund.

No aid money or subsidized loans for that course of study. No charitable donation tax breaks for scholarships for that course of study. Ignore degrees in that course of study for federal employment. No federal money to state higher-ed programs that fund such courses of study.

I don't want to stifle the left's speech. I just don't want to pay for it.

The lefties have done our work for us already. IG and Facebook groups full of screechy chicks and effeminate males have compiled lists of companies that have remained silent, donated to ebul republicans, or otherwise blasphemed against the holy name of BLM.

I plan to choose the companies on the leftie blacklist every chance I get.

EDIT: the jokes write themselves, the leftie blacklist was on a google document that was shared with anon editing enabled.

Not just groupthink, but the absolute pervasiveness of the groupthink. To discuss movies or tech or whatever you have to have an alt account or every single discussion some masstager or RES using twat starts a political flamewar with you.

The last straw for me was in a movie discussion. The subject of accusations of sexual misconduct against Max Landis came up. A couple of posters dared suggest that it's not for anyone other than the courts to determine his guilt or innocence, that cancel culture is wrong, that we have no way of knowing the facts of the case and it's stupid to pretend otherwise. Those posters were buried in downvotes and angry manbabies shrieking at them in the replies. I'm sure their direct messages are even worse.

The entire thing just sickened me and I realized even when I went so far as to have an alt account and unsubscribe from all the normal frontpage subs that I couldn't escape them, the social justice cult is everywhere on that site.

Whoa, cool it with the anti-black racism there pal. Over-policing and economic inequality has led to deep trauma in their communities that can only be assuaged by assaulting or stealing from white people.

Just discovered that not only does yahoo not let you create an email without a phone number, but they "don't support" google voice numbers.

I just want to be anonymous enough that some blue-haired landwhale admin at reddit or some other sjw infested company can't try to get me fired for wrongthink. I'm sure my data at my isp is not safe, I'm sure my data at reddit is not safe, and I'm sure my data at google is not safe - and it's not likely I'd have any legal recourse if some social justice psychopath managed to get me fired.
