"The thing about having a debate with KW or JD is that first the inferior must show respect to the superior. In their cases, groveling respect. D is a petty nationalist Christian (lol) which should disqualify him from an adult discussion with anyone, whereas KW waits for NJP to determine his positions. So while these children are not worth my time, if they made the correct amends I would patiently listen to their babble. If you cannot at least admit and apologize for your offenses, then obviously you will not be granted the opportunity to speak.Had they not offended me, I would have been happy to pretend that we are equals. If they make the correct amends, I will pretend this and show respect during our discussion."

He does. He was being a dumbass in another thread I posted. Acts like he's a master of the fallacies everyone is committing but he can't even bring basic honesty to a discussion.

Also pretends he has no agenda just so he has rhetorical leverage and doesn't have to defend his assertions. When really, he does have an agenda. People like him have obsessive personalities, so I'm sure he'll see this thread soon.

I just think it's cowardly to pretend not to have an agenda just for rhetorical leverage. Which is exactly what you're doing. No clue what your "imagination" scenario is about.

Whether it's you, or someone else, who is going to accept repercussions for "indirect violations" against someone on their side when the account followed the rules as stated? It's simply just bad faith not to acknowledge this.

And your "prediction" was an agenda-driven self-fulfilling prophecy.

the account's continued pattern of indirectly violating Twitter's Hateful Conduct Policy by tweeting content that either leads to or intends to incite harassment against individuals and institutions

Be good faith bro. If we really tell the truth, you would never accept this criteria if it came down on against your side. And you know it. "Indirect" lol. But you're pretending not to know it for rhetorical leverage. Yet you come in here and act like the man that's going to expose everyone's fallacies. That's some bullshit. One set of rules for you and yours, another for everyone else. You'll hold opponents to the strictest standard, knowing damn well it would be a problem for you if "indirect violations" (defined by who?) were levied against your side. I want to treat everyone fair...but I hope I never get that desperate.

The link I showed says this: “LTT has not directly engaged in behavior violative of the Hateful Conduct policy." Anything beyond that is taking liberties. It doesn't matter if it's in a statement or not. And no sane person would ever believe that repercussions for people who didn't directly violate the policies could be done in a fair way.

Campaign teams? What about other political actors that weren't associating with those campaign teams? Did Kirk or LibsofTikTok have associations with the campaigns? It still matters if they were treated with bias whether it's related to the campaigns or not. That doesn't prove there is "no bias" in the grand picture of all political actors.

It's one thing to ask for evidence. It's another to pretend you have no agenda when you really do. You just don't want to engage with what leftists are asserting in the original post because it shows that you're letting them slide while being hypercritical of those on the right on the very same issue. And truth be told, I don't think Elon would be saying what he's been saying if it were truly an "unbiased" situation.

Yes, technically, I would need to comb through the list myself. But on the other hand, I haven't heard of any leftists accounts being shadow banned.

Furthermore, you claimed there was no bias. What's this based on?

First of all, why are leftists saying that the "do not take action without consulting management" thing means they were boosting pages like Libs of TikTok? That's the main point of this post.

Secondly, I've seen that a number of conservative accounts were blacklisted. I haven't personally combed through the list of blacklisted accounts or trends, but I haven't seen any leftist accounts being blocked. If there are any, it would surprise me that this was done on the same scale, because a guy like Charlie Kirk with many followers was shadow banned, for example.

How white leftists are dealing with the "black Nazi" issue by tantamle in debatealtright

[–]tantamle[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm not saying there's a lot of black nazis. I just think there's a normalization of criticizing jews within the black community. It's always been there to some extent, but it's been reinvigorated lately. In some cases, the blacks involved might not even have extensive of knowledge about jewish behavior or history. They're just aware that jews are not a genuine ally and often have manipulative dealings with blacks.

Maybe the average black isn't in on this. But my impression is that most blacks with even a vaguely pro-black political stance are aware and on board with criticism of jews. Whereas leftists are trying to paint it as only being the likely 1-3% of blacks involved in NOI or BHI.

If I had to guess, around 20-30% of blacks are strongly or somewhat critical of jews, and many others may abide the criticism without raising an eyebrow.

If you were raised in an urban hellhole all your life, I can see it being difficult to know how to act. But a lot of blacks seem to show the same behavior patterns in suburban areas or wherever else they are.

Also, it just comes down to the sheer number of incidents. For example, if I tried to recall the last 50 times I saw someone being very loud and obnoxious in public and half the time it was blacks, half the time it was whites, it might trigger me to think about how my group biases could be affecting my perceptions. In reality, blacks are acting badly a clear majority of the time and with only a small share of the overall population. It's not even close. For me to get it that wrong is like telling me I'm suffering from outright delusions rather than simply being "biased". I'm not saying you're doing it on purpose, but it has the effect of a sort of racial gaslighting.

I know this is a big ask, but read these accounts. Tell me this doesn't describe blacks spot on. There's a certain power to hearing someone's observations and seeing how closely they link up with your own observations. Some of which you never even consciously noted.

The Wages of Idealism, Urban Law 101

Also, not to give you homework, but google "why are black people so loud". It seems there's a lot of people with this same observation.

You say you "agree that it can be annoying", and also seem to have a distinct reference for what I'm saying. I can respect that, but then why did you also say "I don't think you regularly interact with black people"? That doesn't seem to make square with what you had just said. I actually live near one of the blackest cities in the US. I actually like a lot of things about blacks, but if we really tell the truth, there are some serious problems. You mention that blacks will erupt into violence at the slightest provocation and then in the very same sentence, you say I haven't made the case for it being different from japs/americans. Well...that's one clear difference right there: the violence. You're entitled to explain whatever nuance you feel is necessary, but it seems like you're acknowledging what I describe and then somehow denying it.

The cultural differences might be more significant than some believe. I personally believe biology plays into it a little bit. But right now, I'm trying to pin down your admissions of how blacks act in public.

The difference is, blacks create actual problems and dysfunction, whereas the difference between Japanese and Americans relates more to subtle preferences or degree of loudness, for example.

Blacks are known to be loud in movie theaters and other places that require "indoor voices". Blacks are known to have trouble being considerate with personal space when they are in spaces that require organization or waiting your turn.

Maybe the average American is a bit louder or more obnoxious than the average Japanese, but it's a difference of degree. Whereas Blacks seems to create utter mayhem at worst, and pretty significant disruptions at best.

[–]tantamle[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Every group is committed to things they regard as right, but whites organized societies around principals of fairness and codified them into their laws. Ending slavery, one man/one vote, due process etc. Whites have even taken to treating animals with certain rights. Have black and brown done the same, to a comparable degree?

I'd say it matters simply to understand our own nature and the nature of other races.

Scroll a bit and you'll see sources I provided in a post made a few minutes ago.

The basic idea is, immigration only lowers wages be a negligible amount for high school drop outs, but the overall growth in the economy due to immigration offsets the very small impact on wages for some people.

If this is true, we have to deal with it and stop holding on to a losing point.

Ventured over to leftist space, here's the data they often cite to show that immigration DOESN'T hurt wages much:

https://www.nber.org/papers/w12497.pdf National Bureau of Economic Research paper on the effects immigration has on wages in the United States Study contends previous analyses on the relationship between immigration and wages falsely assumed perfect labor substitutability between immigrants and native workers of similar education levels, distorting results Research shows average American wage RISES due to immigration, both short-term and long-term Only native demographic whose wages drop are High School dropouts who suffer a decrease in wages of approximately ~2% short-term, alleviating to ~1.1% over time. Study finds new immigration does severely impact wages of prior immigrants, suggesting lack of substitutability with *natives. Overall, vast majority of American workers’ wages increase from immigration, High School dropouts (<10% of population) experience a slight decrease which alleviates with time (and there is evidence that immigration may increase native High School graduation rates, too).

https://sci-hub.do/10.1016/j.labeco.2014.05.002 Similar research to the above paper, except conducted on the French labor market. Findings are near-identical; immigration leads to across-the-board wage increases for all except a small minority of low-education native workers. Reaffirms conclusion that there is low substitutability between native workers and immigrant workers.

http://davidcard.berkeley.edu/papers/mariel-impact.pdf Famous research on the Mariel Boatlift and the impact of a wave of Cuban immigrants (mostly low-skilled) on the economy of Miami. Research found essentially no impact on native wages, even for low-skilled workers, despite the Mariel Boatlift increasing Miami’s labor force by seven percent. Even former Cuban immigrants didn’t seem to be affected.

But it just seems so phony and lame how virtually no white male leftist (especially far left) can come to prominence and just simply accept being a regular white guy. I'd say they lost because if you simply follow 'point/counterpoint', Vaush and Destiny were the logical winners. They always had a response prepared that directly spoke to the matter at hand. They were actually prepared for what their opponents would say next. I say people lost 'on points' rather than 'KO', meaning a complete drubbing vs being edged out.

And granted, Vaush and Destiny are bullshitters, but it's best to realize that they made arguments that "work" (ie could potentially convince others) vs obvious bullshit and deception.

People on our side, if they want to shove this crap aside and say it doesn't matters, your entitled to your opinion. Me personally, I'm concerned by the extent to which our enemies have evolved their talking points and responses.

James Allsup and Striker lost to Vaush off the top of my head. Literally any search you do for Vaush and race realise/alt-right, Vaush wins on points or worse.

To be fair, Vaush and Destiny don't always debate our best guys and many of them are more 'alt-lite' than anything. But to say they don't come up with plausible responses to our positions is folly.

They do this, but I disagree that this represents all or even most of what they do. It's not like there's no substance to the responses they give to some of our positions. I don't think it serves us well to deny the success they've had. You watch them against Sean Last or JF and they're stumped. But it seems to indicate a weakness on our end that our B level guys are looking "pretty bad" or worse against them.

Although interestingly, some people kind of speculate (like in the comments section of the first video I linked) that deep down, Destiny knows race realism is true. He's also, in a measured sort of way, drifted slowly to the right on a select number of issues. He's still a creep, but maybe Destiny actually has some sense.

Interesting. My thing is, the fact that academia is in the left's corner gives them a huge advantage in debates. Our arguments ring true to reasonable people, but we can't get completely swept when it comes to research. If we can simply have enough research on our side that the results are ambiguous, our clearly correct arguments will win the day.

One thing I'll say works against my theory is that a higher ratio of blacks died from covid, therefore, perhaps blacks are more likely to know someone who died from Covid and got the shot. The black covid death rate is 1.4 times that of the white rate. But if that's what drives a lot of blacks to get the shot, it sure took an unreasonably long time to have an effect. If you go back to a year ago, blacks were I think around 20% less likely to get the shot. Now that gap has apparently closed greatly. But why now? Once again, it makes me wonder if leftists in high places wanted to make blacks look better than they really are.

The NY Times even felt the need to attempt to explain this anomaly: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/13/us/black-americans-vaccine-tuskegee.html
