I'd say they lost because if you simply follow 'point/counterpoint', Vaush and Destiny were the logical winners. They always had a response prepared that directly spoke to the matter at hand. They were actually prepared for what their opponents would say next. I say people lost 'on points' rather than 'KO', meaning a complete drubbing vs being edged out.

And granted, Vaush and Destiny are bullshitters, but it's best to realize that they made arguments that "work" (ie could potentially convince others) vs obvious bullshit and deception.

People on our side, if they want to shove this crap aside and say it doesn't matters, your entitled to your opinion. Me personally, I'm concerned by the extent to which our enemies have evolved their talking points and responses.

James Allsup and Striker lost to Vaush off the top of my head. Literally any search you do for Vaush and race realise/alt-right, Vaush wins on points or worse.

To be fair, Vaush and Destiny don't always debate our best guys and many of them are more 'alt-lite' than anything. But to say they don't come up with plausible responses to our positions is folly.

They do this, but I disagree that this represents all or even most of what they do. It's not like there's no substance to the responses they give to some of our positions. I don't think it serves us well to deny the success they've had. You watch them against Sean Last or JF and they're stumped. But it seems to indicate a weakness on our end that our B level guys are looking "pretty bad" or worse against them.

Although interestingly, some people kind of speculate (like in the comments section of the first video I linked) that deep down, Destiny knows race realism is true. He's also, in a measured sort of way, drifted slowly to the right on a select number of issues. He's still a creep, but maybe Destiny actually has some sense.

Interesting. My thing is, the fact that academia is in the left's corner gives them a huge advantage in debates. Our arguments ring true to reasonable people, but we can't get completely swept when it comes to research. If we can simply have enough research on our side that the results are ambiguous, our clearly correct arguments will win the day.

One thing I'll say works against my theory is that a higher ratio of blacks died from covid, therefore, perhaps blacks are more likely to know someone who died from Covid and got the shot. The black covid death rate is 1.4 times that of the white rate. But if that's what drives a lot of blacks to get the shot, it sure took an unreasonably long time to have an effect. If you go back to a year ago, blacks were I think around 20% less likely to get the shot. Now that gap has apparently closed greatly. But why now? Once again, it makes me wonder if leftists in high places wanted to make blacks look better than they really are.

The NY Times even felt the need to attempt to explain this anomaly: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/13/us/black-americans-vaccine-tuskegee.html

I also don't see how 'crowded living conditions and and broken down infrastructure' drive crime higher rates of crime, so I'm dubious about these claims. These things might have some small psychological effects, but I don't see how a difference as great as the ones we see between poor blacks and poor whites could exist.

Come on, man. The obvious implication is that weed use has been supposedly forced on blacks because of the alleged trauma they face due to white supremacy. If the black relationship to weed wasn't unique, why would King even make the statement? King is implying that black circumstance leads to marijuana use. Ok, fine, but if that's the reality on the ground, then it's going to manifest in law enforcement interactions with blacks who deal with marijuana.

But I'm referring to a situation where, for example, one person is blocking a walkway, or the classic situation where it's a 'tight squeeze' in a walkway so both people move aside slightly. Or maybe a situation where one person turned a corner and didn't have enough time to see the other, so they both move. Just common sense shit like this. Antifa are pieces of shit, but your take on this is so silly that I have to suspect you're a fed.

Rittenhouse acted in self-defense (or at worst, slightly overreacted). But he didn't just set out to "do what needs to be done" in terms of killing random ANTIFA.

That doesn't need to happen, and hasn't happend since.

Winning skirmishes with ANTIFA is nearly irrelevant. We need to win bigger battles. As far as the little battles in the street go, it might be beneficial if the police did their job, and of course, our people in the street come prepared (within reason course). Nothing more needs to happen than that when it comes to fighting Antifa. It's not a main battle.

[–]tantamle[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

A couple major things that shut "wiggers" down was 1) Wiggers had a hard time maintaining credibility in the long run. You can only put on the act for so long until it becomes a joke. When those guys got farther and farther into the life many blacks lead, cracks in their routine started to show 2) The whole cultural appropriation thing began to take root near the time wiggers were dying out. "Cultural appropriation" wasn't the sort of hot button topic it is today, but probably enough blacks were wise to the concept to push back against wiggers.

And, as I pointed out, Keith is no longer invited on Richard's show. And, we know Richard very often targets others in the movement. I will say it's possible Richard meant nothing by it, but it's also easy to see this as Brahmin and Richard are slowly and strategically turning against Keith.

Differences in humor between blacks and whites by tantamle in debatealtright

[–]tantamle[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of evidence to suggest that culture is the dominant factor with humor across cultures in general.

The main thing that jumps out at me is that blacks seem to not even comprehend 'offbeat' white humor. As I said in the post, it appears to me that not only do they not find it funny, they don't even process it. This, however, is just my subjective judgment and I have no way to prove it.

Blacks, and black men especially, have a touchy, masculine pride about them. They reject any humor that is self-deprecating or even just 'silly'. It's easy to why someone with touchy pride wouldn't be into that kind of humor. On the other hand, black women aren't much different in their sense of humor. Perhaps harder to grasp is that blacks don't seem to like 'nonsense' or 'random' humor. Certain types of whites seem very adverse to this type of humor too, but with blacks it's near unanimous opposition.

I was also kind of just surprised to see a more "high-level" anti-racist critique in a very mainstream source. Usually you only see pretty watered-down and agreeable sounding versions of the BS anti-racists believe represented there. This is kind of a step up in terms of propaganda. Blaming whites even when they've found a way to relate to blacks.

Most people know deep down why blacks do what they do, they're just afraid to admit it". I take this as a snub against AmRen. He also has stated that the alt-right 'just isn't going in a "libertarian/race realist" direction. Once again, I think he's aiming at AmRen and similar types.
