CRAZY COINCIDENCE: Lytton, British Columbia, burnt down last week, the same town that Dr. Charles Hoffe was reporting that the Moderna "vaccine" had decimated the health of his small town by salvia_d in conspiracy

[–]slushpilot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You are right, I believe there was another fire south of Lytton that started earlier, and at the time I thought it was connected.

That one also says human, which is not at all surprising with how dry everything is. http://bcfireinfo.for.gov.bc.ca/hprScripts/WildfireNews/OneFire.asp?ID=810

So what you're arguing is that among all these fires, some human caused and some not, one of them is a conspiracy: https://governmentofbc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=a1e7b1ecb1514974a9ca00bdbfffa3b1&center=-121.565383,50.177533&level=11&mobileBreakPoint=300

Why not burn the clinic instead of the other end of town? Hardly anyone has even heard of Dr. Hoffe's claims anyway.

It's so annoying that we basically need to become experts in social issues, history, pharmacokinetics, endocrinology, developmental science, linguistics, and be at the front of a niche field of medical research

Have you heard of the principle called Occam's Razor? This here goes directly against it.

Humans are the only species that can make these weird reachy justifications using largely opinion-based elitist fields like sociology, developmental science, linguistics, and history. All other animals, whether they are socially bonded or not, definitely feel that sex is real. Anyone who tries to find evidence to deny the obvious universal truth that there are males and females is obviously motivated by their own conclusion—and not science.

My point in typing this out is this: why can't I just be a lesbian?

Honest question: at 17, how many sexual relationships have you had? How many long-term relationships?

Maybe you are a lesbian, and that's great. I just can't understand the need to label yourself, and the same goes for your friends who think they'll use such-and-such pronouns as if it's a fashion choice you can pick out out of a hat—rather than a deeply-felt sense of self, which ultimately takes some time to reflect on through experience and figure out for oneself.

This obsession about identity labels is immature and short-sighted. Just be for now, and figure out where you land once you've lived a bit more. Tell your friends the same.

The words themselves are weird, and the connotations attached to them are understood differently by different people. I think that's part of why we can't agree (or else, some actually don't want to agree) on any of this.

  1. Gender, some people think it means sex. When you take it to mean biology, that sounds like the part that needs to be addressed. If you take it to mean a social construct, well then it's more about expectations & stereotypes. Those can be addressed with therapy, instead of starting with physical interventions.

  2. Dysphoria, just means an unhappiness, a malaise, or literally a dis-ease. (The opposite of euphoria.) So if someone is unsettled with the reality of their own body, that is by definition an unhealthy state of mind—and should be treated as such. Cult activists would argue for a different meaning, and want to see dysphoria de-classified as a mental health condition.

are there cases of therapy for gender disphoria that made trans people fell worse than just transitioning?

This is exactly the right question. Personally, I would never say just transitioning since that is such an invasive approach. It would be impossible to prove this within one individual, but there were studies that showed no benefit from transitioning. Unsurprisingly, these were withheld from publishing until they were forced to by the British courts.

https://www.transgendertrend.com/the-tavistocks-experiment-with-puberty-blockers-part-5-the-belated-results/

If we can show there is no benefit, then it logically follows there can only be harm—from the countless false-positives that will inevitably come up after the current trend among children and young adults gets old.

I've been thinking a bit about the concept of "Free Reach". I've only seen this slogan within the last few months, so in case it's new to some, it's yet another dismissive counterpoint to defenders of free speech online. When someone gets censored, they say "you do have a right to free speech, but not to free reach" or similar formulations that serve to move the "it's a private company" meme one step further.

It's a play on words where "Free Speech" obviously means free as in liberis, but "Free Reach" can simply refer to the cost of the service provided, and can thus be refused.

The internet certainly has made it too easy (and free, as in gratis) to post a hot take and have it seen by everyone in the world thanks to the interconnectedness of social networks. Viral spread is inherent with greater network connectedness, and I think we all learned about R-value in the last year. Add human nature to this, and strong emotions like outrage will always outspread any and all reasonable, sober thoughts.

The points made in this article are not surprising at all. It really does take only a few percent of crazy people to completely dominate a reasonable majority. The same argument has been made about community standards & corporate culture, where the one toxic person can stifle everyone else.

I don't know what could make this situation better when the internet is in everyone's hands, but this concept of free reach certainly allows a few individuals to create a façade and produce a much bigger influence than they actually have a right to exert over public discourse. I'm not talking about past forms of influence through one-way communication—newspapers & television. Those were forms of media that individuals could consume, digest, and then discuss privately, not spread globally by pretending that everyone shares the same opinion.

We humans are not made to reason well about large groups, at least not without some kind of hierarchy of trusted authorities. And in the absence of those, we form our own hierarchies around shared understanding & culture, as tribal groups have always done.

Ideas are not spread by word of mouth anymore—it's more like word of megaphone.

But, they certainly have their principles and are not afraid to say what they mean. I appreciate that a lot. I think what's really interesting about this clip is how it reveals her sweet, naïve understanding of the current state of things:

"not transgender! he has a dick!"

There is still hope in hearing these words: I want to believe that most people think "transgender" means "transsexual", or someone who's had surgery. I want to believe that she and many others haven't yet understood the social reality that self-id means a man can now just say he is a woman, and that ostensibly makes him one.

There are many more yet to be peaked.

In any case, even if she knows what "transgender" means, this was the absolute best way to confront it: simply don't acknowledge their pseudo-reality and say it like it is. You don't need to understand the nuances of what "gender" means to know what a penis looks like. Don't play their game!

Allow me to predict the next phase. It's going to be all of the above, but now within a single person. So, expect that we'll learn all about how someone can have combinations of these, within a single person:

  • Two cis alters
  • Two trans alters
  • One cis-alter and one trans-alter
  • Two straight alters
  • Two gay alters
  • One gay and one cis alter
  • more recombinations of other personality quirks
  • more than 2 alters
  • Alters with their own alters

So, all the same irreconcilable crap we are currently dealing with between individuals (e.g. men in women's spaces, etc.), but now also on another meta-level, within a single individual. Oh, yay.

Keep in mind this is also the first time in history that a broad vaccination program has been implemented right in the middle of an active pandemic. So it is possible that the numbers we are seeing are muddled together with that. (Adverse effects will include people who get infected during the course of vaccination. It's going to be hard to separate.)

It's worth a reasoned discussion at least.

The vaccines likely saved a lot of lives among the elderly, but is that also true in younger populations? I suspect there is a line where the risk-benefit could go the other way—It's my understanding that sickness & mortality from COVID-19 is very low in children, and vaccine adverse effectw being worse among the young.

This "Eagle Strong Voice" white guy is a weirdo... He does have his finger on some actual well-known secrets within Canada, but it sounds like he just wants to use them to undermine institutions from the Canadian government, to Queen Elizabeth, and the Vatican.

His previous declaration was that his own "International Common Law Court of Justice" had tried & convicted the heads of these institutions for genocide. And dissolved Canada, apparently.

Whatever. He can invent his own court, but good luck with that.

To me it just sounds like he's grifting off past tragedies and claiming this weird legal-sounding authority (now it's the so-called "Canadian Genocide Tribunal") to play to his audience of native people who might just be gullible to his emotional manipulation.

u/firemonke8 brought up the word "bourgeois" and that's exactly the right way to frame this. It's derived from marxism, whether intentionally through academic theories, or purely by playing on social group dynamics:

This is a process that hijacks individual empathy and uses it to discriminate and scapegoat others, in the service of the "oppressed". You just need to continuously redefine who is oppressed, and use that to build "allyship". You think Lenin himself was oppressed? No way! But it worked to get himself and his thug buddies in power, didn't it!

The bill is a hot mess of contradictory language. I'm shocked at how many Conservative members voted for it. I was hoping more would vote against it, even if it might've been for the wrong (traditionalist) reasons. The bill reads:

“conversion therapy”, which is defined as practices, treatment or services designed to change an individual’s sexual orientation to heterosexual or gender identity to cisgender or to reduce non-heterosexual sexual attraction or sexual behaviour

It aims to simultaneously prohibit "conversion" of:

  • orientation to heterosexual
  • gender identity to cisgender

(But not the reverse, curiously.)

So as a therapist, consider counselling a 14-yo girl who tells you "I like girls and I hate my breasts... I am obviously a straight man!" A patient like this can be manipulative and say the right things in order to get the referral she wants.

If you try to unpack her confusion and help her work out if she might be a lesbian, and ultimately help her to accept her own healthy growing body, that would now be criminal. Hence, actually treating dysphoria with talk therapy is now something that can get you reported.

I can only see this leading to more harm to youth either way, since practitioners now only have two options:

  1. Affirm the patient's "identity", and let them lead their own course toward medical interventions. If the child's own self-assessment turns out to be wrong after they grow up and are old enough to start having sex, they can suffer with the consequences for life.

  2. Stay away and deny counselling services to the patient. The child is left to figure out their own underlying issues whether they might be related to depression, anxiety, trauma, or any other mental health condition on their own.

Now, I might just be worrying too much about this since the text of the bill specifies the word designed to try and limit what this applies to:

... services designed to change an individual’s ...

Obviously they don't mean talk therapy, right? I do wonder how many therapists would be willing to risk their reputation on that, when a petulant child can raise an internet mob to destroy their career with just the word "TERF".

I don't know that specific gory details are at all necessary to the greater point. And it's likely that some of the accounts that made their way from Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Germany were quite distorted or exaggerated by the time they were reported in allied news. I don't know if you're saying that what was written in your link was untrue.

But that doesn't matter. The point is, all of it was quite unbelievable at the time and hence most people did not care to say a thing about it.

Think of that, and reflect on what happens if you speak out about gender ideology today. You'll be ignored and thought to be a crank, or else vilified by polite society.

In my opinion, the narrator's analysis about how psychology plays into today's problems is quite accurate. It really is a layering of the Asch experiment, Milgram experiment, and Stanford experiment all in one.

The way to safely lift the lockdown is to be vaccinated. Or have everyone follow the lockdown rules for a few weeks.

Which one was Florida doing this whole time? Or Texas?

They fared no worse relative to other states, and I believe that tells us there are details about the transmission of this virus that have been badly misunderstood over the last year. We might've latched on to bad recommendations because of this. But, even if governments knew that masks only made a minimal difference right from the start, they would probably still tell everyone to wear them as a panacea, to make the populace feel like we are in control, and "doing our part" to help. It's well-meaning and understandable.

Officials always get obsessed about technical definitions so they can look up the correct protocols to recommend from their manual. They are unthinking bureaucrats. Like remember last February/March when they were hesitant to call it a "pandemic" and were quibbling about the precise definition of the term? I think the same is true about questions like whether this virus should now be reclassified as "airborne" which was also widely denied as they pushed for the "droplets" explanation, and then "aerosols" for so long instead.

Droplets & aerosols would justify the 2m rule and masking. But distance wouldn't actually help for an airborne virus, and neither would masks. I predict that "lockdowns" in apartment buildings with shared HVAC systems didn't help us much either. It's possible that other recommendations focusing on dilution would've had better results instead: improve ventilation, open windows, gather outside, etc. Assuming they're willing to admit it's been airborne this whole time of course.

How the fuck do you get so manipulated

Sure, some people are easily manipulated and don't think for themselves. But it's possible to disagree for well-founded reasons and contradictory evidence too. It shouldn't be a tribal team-mask vs. team no-mask argument assuming everyone is stupid. Are you manipulated to "trust the science", or have you looked into it? If you did, would you allow yourself to raise questions and have a solid discussion about it?

I'm not "anti-mask" by the way. There's much more interesting depth to the issue that's worth actually discussing.
