“It’s Better To Be An Atheist” Than A Hypocritical Christian, Pope Francis Says by Orangutan in Christianity

Ummm... That's what "Taking the Lord's name in vain" means. Claiming to be part of God's faithful so you look good to other people in the church, but then going against all of God's teachings in the rest of your life.

I don't think Francis the Talking Pope needs to be explaining the 10 commandments without actually mentioning them.

Funny how this method worked better than standing around taking pictures and videos and laughing about it.

IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED TO VOTE OR DON'T KNOW IF YOU ARE....I MADE IT EASY FOR YOU. List of states that allow Online Voter Registration. If you're not sure about particular legislation just say no.

I would say that it is better to not vote for issues or candidates that you do not know about.

Doctors, not software companies, should monitor your health.

I will agree that a digital interface to allow you to view your digitally-stored records is not a bad idea.

HOWEVER

If the doctor or his staff give up on using the telephone, or even snail mail, because all they know how to do for their jobs is use their magic system instead of the telephone or snail mail, then they deserve to be out of business.

Sacrificing patient care to make the office staff's life easier is the opposite of patient care.

Somebody mentioned it when I was on Voat, and the timing was just too perfect... too much drama and vitriol was making me wonder if it was time to find another source for news and adult conversation.

I stuck it out there for about 4 years, but it was going downhill very quickly.

As the new guy, I must say I like the concept of being able to upvote something for a more specific reason. And the lack of a downvote also means that if someone is being a jerk, they will simply sit at zero... irrelevant.

It's at the bottom of every page, where it says "welcome to saidit". It's also stickied at the top of /s/saidit.

I am not a smart man.

Thank you! Could this be stickied to the front page, or a relevant sub for newbies?

Every time Reddit bans subs for practicing wrongthink (Like picking on whats-her-name tennis lady who had a meltdown, who is also the wife of one of Reddit's upper echelon) a boatload of reddit-fugees would show up at voat, and either be completely overwhelmed at the concept of free thought and free speech (which sounded a lot like ten-year-old boys trying out their freedom of speech by being as vulgar as possible) and leave, or overwhelmed by the sheer amount of truth that is opposite all of the safe spaces in reddit, and leave, or worst of all, they would hang around and try to either destroy voat by vote farming until they had enough votes to begin trying to influence the front page by mass down-voting any original content, or stalk / harass / badger users with hate and vitriol and the like.

That's why I came here.

Voat is too much like reddit, in that I can't just browse through some relevant content and have mature discussions about it any more.

I was heading into a business from the parking lot; a group of 6 or 8 people were waiting at a nearby bus stop.

When I locked my car using the key fob, the car honked.

One of the ladies of the group yelled at me something about locking my car because they were all black; someone else yelled at me and called me a nazi, racist, etc.
