First off, people shouldn't be using Google. Use DuckDuckGo at least.

But there is at least one innocent explanation for this. It's possible Google accidentally dropped the ability to show all news organizations. But the MSM ones survived because Google has special code for those to probe them more specifically, as it knows the layout of these sites and it's worthwhile doing a specific probe for big news sites. So that might have kept the MSM in the search results.

I can't decide if this happened because a guy with a fetish for forced feminization (which is a common fetish) decided to express himself through this boy. Or some other explanation, cause this is just crazy.

"In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, in the expert's mind there are few."

(edit: I got that quote from the Wikipedia page for 'Shoshin' :

"Shoshin (初心) is a word from Zen Buddhism meaning "beginner's mind." It refers to having an attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions when studying a subject, even when studying at an advanced level, just as a beginner would. The term is especially used in the study of Zen Buddhism and Japanese martial arts.[citation needed]

The phrase is also discussed in the book Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind by Shunryu Suzuki, a Zen teacher. Suzuki outlines the framework behind shoshin, noting "in the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, in the expert's mind there are few.")

Instead the person's debts should be frozen/cleared, and a financially competent person should be put in control of the financially wrecked person until they can sort out whatever issue led to them being in so much debt.

You're welcome here. I only just got here myself last week. The public free-for-all group to help people find their way to the private censored group sounds like a good plan.

There's some censorship going on in the newly popular feminist subs and it needs to be openly addressed. by [deleted] in SaidIt

Maybe there could be an automatic (small) banner that appears automatically on non-public subs?

I kinda want 'science' to be a default sub rather than just Physics.

Looks like people in here are saying:

  • If you're in /s/all, you can't censor
  • If you want to censor, just move out of /s/all

Sounds fairly simple and fair.

Richard Feynman said enough amazing stuff that he could have an entire sub dedicated to him on here.

I would like to introduce everyone to a new sub. It's called s/UnionofRationalPeople. Let's work together to fight the forces that are destroying our country. Let's work together to fight censorship. by Canbot in whatever

People are looking for political parties that simply aren't batshit insane. Being against censorship is a big part of that.

Fair enough. Glad you're making it as expensive as possible for them to keep their attacks up.

It's great that you're fighting off DDOS attacks like that.

But maybe you shouldn't mention success stories, to discourage the people who do these attacks. If they see the attacks have no effect, and they're not even mentioned, then perhaps they won't want to try again. If you make a triumphant post about how you beat them, then maybe that'll encourage them to try harder?

SaidIt should be seen as an intellectual platform, not as a social media site. by Aureus in whatever

[–]philosopher 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with this. One thing I've wondered about is making it so that most people don't just get shown default subs all the time, but we encourage them more into specific sub groups. That's cause default subs tend to be too based on popular opinion. Maybe a 'featured sub of the day' that's specific to each person who sees it, based on stuff they've shown interest in in previous posts they've made?

It's hard to know who to support least. Katie Hopkins is a click bait troll, and Twitter is a censoring echo chamber.
