I never fail to be disappointed when I look at pics like those. Some things are best left covered except in the right private circumstances.

Not a few of these are unappealing women who want to spoil the party for everyone.

And how many of these libertarians were mask/vaxx mandate freaks?

Why don't they wash it, grind it up and use it locally for building insulation?

If they are unrepentant about abuse like that you have no further obligation.

I noticed that. Much much better. Thanks a lot.

Ok. Thanks for that. I thought I had picked up somewhere than subs could be kept off /s/all. I will give this some thought. Be well.

Thanks. That thread was helpful, though troubling.

I came here thinking this might be a good place to start a forum on Lyme Disease. I like the reddit software scheme, and I like that downvotes are not supported, since IME they poison any sense of community.

I don't like the drama, though. And now that I think about it, all posts going to /s/all is problematic. It would be better for my purposes if the threads were constrained to an interested Lyme community rather than attract drive-by's.

And in light of the high Readers numbers I had seen throughout the site, I'm shocked to learn there are so few still active.

Food for thought. Be well.

What I was also trying to figure out is what's behind the 19k Readers stat. Whether this place was at one point on fire, or if it is a carryover from the reddit sub. I'm new here and learning the ropes.

Thanks. Much appreciated. I did retry my first thread last evening, and the capcha had disappeared. So I guess I attained tenure!

Be well.

I think it was a combination, of the characters being distorted, having fuzzy outlines, and being gray on gray. I can appreciate the dilemma you face. One possible help would be the user ability to generate a new capcha if the present one is not workable. Other than that, I don't know how serious the bot challenge you're up against is, or how advanced the bots are these days. I've seen math problems used as a verifier; they are simple, but I guess a screenreader could solve them.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Yes, they really are that bad, the worst I've seen. I'm 71, maybe that's a factor, though I don't consider my eyesight bad. But Lyme does affect nerve sensitivity. But when I saw it was required even to post, not only can I not continue doing that, I can't ask anyone else to join and go through it.

Thanks for the welcome. I just signed up. I did so because I love the reddit software, and further appreciate that you have remove the notorious downvote, which I believe poisons the positive sense of community.

I want to comment on the capcha hurdle that one must clear before signing up. It took me maybe ten different capcha before I was given one I could discern. My eyes are not that bad, though I am sensitive to eyestrain. I began to wonder if you actually want people to sign up. It was that bad. I came here with the thought of possibly starting a Lyme disease support community, but I don't think I can expect people, especially those with neurological challenges, to overcome that hurdle as I finally did.

I hope you will consider what I'm saying here. And in any case, glad to be here. Be well.

EDIT: I just attempted to post to a sub, and was confronted again with an impossible capcha. This is stunning. I simply will not be able to participate here. Shame. The site holds so much promise.
