Might get shit on for writing this comment but oh well. From my personal experience, very intense period pains are not the norm and they're caused by medical issues. Whether endometriosis or in my case, being overweight.

When I was overweight my period was very irregular and when it got it, it was excruciatingly painful. To the point where I couldn't move and just had to lay in bed in a fetal position all day. Started exercising, eating healthy and got down to a BMI of like 22. Periods became completely regular and had almost no pain anymore. A few years later I gained back maybe 30 lbs and the period pain came back full force so I know it was the weight causing it.

Lots of my friends and family members complain about horrible periods and most of them are obese. I don't want to be insensitive and say "erm, it's probably because you're fat" so I just don't say anything.

Yep. Back when I was a libfem this is literally what I believed. That sexism and misogyny were rooted in hate/disrespect toward femininity. And if men could just be taught to see femininity as "equal" to masculinity, sexism would be over. Lol.

My opinion clashed with many women on GC. I believed male violence and depravity was biological while they believed in socialization. I was extremely anti-natalist, anti-male children, and anti-heterosexuality while a lot of them were married to men with kids. I was never censored. Downvoted but not censored.

GenderCritical was a sub for women who know that patriarchy exists. Who know that gender identity is bullshit.
