A s/TheseAreNotOurCrimes reversal. I guess she really wasn't like the other girls. Or her mind was warped by testosterone. This is so unusual for a woman to do. I'd really like to read her womanifesto, but I have doubts it will be released. I wonder if doing something so typically male was a type of gender affirmation for her.

Believe me, I understand the pain of having to share someone you love, particularly when the other guys were kind of pieces of shit, and even after they're long gone the memories will be there forever. It's not a great feeling.

But I've seen the other side of it, show me a woman who has only ever had one partner and I'll show you a woman who thinks about what it would be like with other men. At least in the first case, the woman picked you and not those other guys. They're real and have faults and their thing already didn't work out. She knows what else is out there already, doesn't need to wonder. But a fantasy of other men, you can't compete with that. And unrequited desires have a way of growing.

I think the lesser of two evils is to accept the woman has a past rather than to know she's going to always wonder what it could have been like with another man. Wonder if it could be better. That sort of thing can leave a woman vulnerable to temptation.

Men can sow their wild oats too, same thing happens when you've only ever been with one woman.

Nice! When you set that first pan on the ground is when I think it was doomed because of the temperature differential being too great, that's thermal shock and the newer pyrex is more prone to it since they use soda glass now instead of borosilicate like they used to. I think setting the second one on that rack helped.

A thicker cooking vessel would probably help with the burning, although I think your temp is just too high all around. I bet you could cook corn bread in there after the fire is out, just with the residual heat.

I am aware. I don't think it's enough. We have human rights, or we have no rights. Special protected groups that become elevated amongst the population is the problem and those groups still represent that problem. We should not celebrate homosexuality, and we should not celebrate kink.

As for the old tired attempts to link pederasty to homosexual men

There is a long traditional of boys being introduced into the lifestyle, being taught and guided by older gay men. It's not an accident Grindr doesn't have age verification. The typical gay 'coming of age' experience is likely hopping on the app and sleeping with an adult these days. Nobody bats an eye.

Conservatives in the 80s and 90s were right about what would end up happening with LGB rights. TQ is the natural progression of celebrating deviant sexuality. You can't just throw the trannies under the bus for this. We forgot ancient lessons and rebuilt a virtual modern day Sodom and Gomorrah. There wasn't anything ultimately good and noble to undermine, this is the whole of it.

And the problematic behavior has hardly been limited to one segment of the rainbow. Lesbian teachers try to queer their students. Bisexuals cheat on everyone. And they all invited the genderspecials to play along, but the line keeps moving. Zoophiles and pedos want in on the flag too now.

It was all a mistake.

Hence the big picture: increase options for energy; improve said options; profit.

But that's not what people are talking about with Green Energy, they're talking about replacing efficient and readily available forms of energy with stuff that isn't. Just imagine a life without an internal combustion engine and a limited supply of batteries, you can only go so far. For 2022 car models the median range is 403 miles. Modern top end EVs have a further range, but it takes time to charge them. The kind of vehicles more in my price range, older models, a IC vehicle is going to have around 250-300 miles of range and the EV will have around 130. If you can't charge on the go, your EV range shrinks by half for a round trip. How far the average person can travel goes down with green energy.

Also, commercial planes don't run on batteries and likely never will.

Texas took itself off the national grid because it's run by idiotic christo-fascist corruption

YouTube is awesome for car repair. Whatever you need, there's likely a video on it for your make and year of vehicle. Your owner's manual can sometimes be very useful too.

Everything I mentioned I'm sure has a video on the subject. Now I'm not inclined to watch videos when I don't have to, so besides car repair, things like Army Field manuals are freely available and have a lot of great survival information.

For cooking, all you have to do initially is be able to follow a recipe -- that's all a lot of people manage anyways. Trick is knowing what's a good recipe and what isn't without experience, and the solution there is to rely on other people rating the recipes for you. I think AllRecipes.com is really handy in that the popular recipes have thousands of reviews. You rely on their experience until you have your own.

Fermenting and preserving is even easier. There's only so many methods: storing in oil/fat or honey, smoking, lactobacillus ferment (just submerge food in a 4% brine basically), picking (similar but you add the acid instead of having the bacteria do it), drying (pretty self explanatory), canning, and of course yeast ferments are handy to make booze and breads. There's a ton of articles and videos out there on each.

Gardening and fighting, I think the best way to learn is just to do. Spar with a friend, throw some seeds in soil. Go from there. You can always supplement your knowledge with other sources, but all this stuff really, until you do it, you just know the theory of something.

How to reason is trickier. I think logic puzzles and programming helped me here. The Socratic method, the scientific method are handy too.

going backwards to a lower standard of living.

Why do you repeat this? Seems like something you've heard elsewhere

It's in the article, didn't you read it? If we can't sustain current energy use, and really, increase it to fit the population, our standard of living declines. Think of going camping and having to rely on whatever battery power you have available. You can't run a fridge, TV, air-conditioning unit, playstation, heat water for a shower, pump running water for that matter, etc.. If we have less power available, it's like that. Maybe not so severe, but it will not be the essentially limitless power on tap we enjoy now.

Relying primarily on fossil fuels has lowered and will continue lowering the standard of living. It's that simple. Diversifying options for energy will improve standards of living, by a long way.

Not in Houston when the power grid goes gets overtaxed and we can't cool our homes and people start dying. This area isn't incredibly liveable without air conditioning. It never sustained a very large population until AC was common.

Very cold areas, frozen hellscapes like Minnesota where 32F is a nice spring day, probably won't be liveable either without coal, oil, or abundant electricity.

Oil resources will dry up in a few decades.

Run out of proven reserves you mean.

Don't trust BigOil and BigNuclear shills regarding a retired teacher's £10k one-page comment on the current storage of wind energy. It's not helping anyone.

I'm fact checking just one of the points made, and they're right. It's an enormous issue. Even with multiple ways to generate energy, we can't store much. So unless it's energy on demand, which a lot of green energies aren't, we are looking at going backwards to a lower standard of living.

Ok, I think this will be a better use of chat-GPT than asking it to directly create refutations. I asked it how many batteries it would take to store enough energy to satisfy the world's energy consumption for one day. The article isn't lying about storage being a major issue. And keep in mind batteries have a lifespan, they'll need to be replaced every ten years or so.

According to the International Energy Agency, global energy consumption in 2020 was approximately 168,000 terawatt-hours (TWh). To store this amount of energy in a battery, we would need to multiply it by the number of hours in a day, which is 24. This gives us a total energy storage requirement of approximately 4,032,000 TWh.

Assuming an average battery efficiency of 90%, we would need a battery with a capacity of approximately 4,480,000 TWh to store the energy needed for one day of global energy consumption.

To put this in perspective, the world's largest battery currently in operation is the Hornsdale Power Reserve in South Australia, which has a capacity of 150 megawatt-hours (MWh). To store 4,480,000 TWh of energy, we would need approximately 29,866,666,667 of these batteries, which is an enormous number.

Keep in mind that this is a rough estimate and does not take into account many other factors, such as the type of battery technology used, the cost and availability of materials, and the feasibility of building and maintaining such a massive energy storage system.

That just isn't practical, even if we only needed a fraction of those assuming it's continually recharging. Green energy means going to a lower standard of living.

From chat-GPT:

It is important to note that the overwhelming majority of historians, scholars, and other experts agree that gas chambers were used by Nazi Germany during World War II to carry out the systematic murder of millions of Jews and other persecuted groups. The evidence for this is based on extensive documentation, physical evidence, and eyewitness testimony.

However, there are some individuals and groups who deny or minimize the Holocaust, including the use of gas chambers. Their arguments and claims have been thoroughly debunked by historians and experts, but one of the most common arguments put forward is the lack of physical evidence for gas chambers.

Some Holocaust deniers claim that there is no forensic evidence of gas chambers, such as the presence of cyanide compounds in the walls or floors of the alleged gas chambers. However, this argument ignores the fact that many of the gas chambers were dismantled or destroyed by the Nazis themselves in an attempt to hide their crimes. Furthermore, forensic evidence has been found in many former gas chambers, including the walls and floors of the infamous gas chambers at Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Another argument put forward by Holocaust deniers is the lack of documents explicitly referring to gas chambers. However, this argument ignores the fact that the Nazis went to great lengths to conceal their crimes, including the use of euphemisms and coded language in their documents. Nevertheless, there are numerous documents, such as orders for the construction of gas chambers and reports on the use of gas chambers, that provide clear evidence of their existence and use.

Overall, the evidence for the use of gas chambers by Nazi Germany during World War II is overwhelming and conclusive. The attempts by Holocaust deniers to deny or minimize this evidence are based on flawed arguments and deliberate distortions of the historical record.

I must counter your statement that the recent passing of HR5 is fascist statecraft. The Equality Act aims to provide protections for LGBTQ+ individuals against discrimination in areas such as employment, housing, and education. It seeks to ensure that everyone, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation, has equal opportunities and protections under the law.

Furthermore, your assertion that the GOP is solely responsible for the decline in living and working standards for school teachers is overly simplistic. There are various factors at play, including budget cuts, changes in education policies, and the impact of technology on the teaching profession. While there may be legitimate criticisms of the GOP's approach to education, it is unfair to attribute all of the issues in the education system to them.

In conclusion, while it is important to address concerns about transgender athletes and online policies, it is important to consider the nuances and complexities of political issues such as the passing of HR5 and the state of the education system. Blanket statements and oversimplifications do not accurately capture the full picture.

Pilots of NATO nations fly the T-38 in joint training programs with USAF pilots. Although nobody else owns 46 of these training craft stationed in the US, except for Germany. It's interesting.

I want to see Trump spend a night in jail like a regular person, no special accomodations. There is something to be said for privilege. It's just not something everyone gets cause they're white. Trump is definitely one privileged motherfucker though and I'd like him to experience how the rest of us live, and specifically what the food is like.

Not that this isn't concerning, but when I was working at a pharmacy pre covid times, I did meet a surprising number of young men who had heart attacks. Must have been at least 5 regulars who experienced one.

Heart attacks in young people does occur on its own more than you'd think. Just... it happened even more it should have from the period the vaccine was mandated till about 9 months after most people decided they didn't want it anymore. The same time period the spike protein could still be found in the body. Which makes sense.

The rate of unusual heart attacks has definitely declined though.

At least if you try a mass shooting in Texas you'll probably be shot right quick by a bystander.

part time job and afford an apartment.

You might want to look up the price of rent first if you're planning on moving to any of the major cities. Most part time jobs won't earn enough for a 1 bedroom, let alone food or the mandatory car insurance.

there’s also a distinct absence of hyper-masculine imagery like you might see in Red Dead Redemption or even Metroid, wherein male heroes are either super muscular or tall and wiry, and their costumes emphasize their bodies.

Samus from Metroid is a woman.... Am I not getting something here?

They can choose to queer the game after completing this quest by adding more femme clothes to Link’s wardrobe, which unlock in multiple colors once you enter the town, and donning them as often as they like.

School children fly off the rails amid Adderall shortage: Parents across the country say their children's grades are falling and becoming more violent by HongKongPhooey in WorldNews

[–]Musky 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I have the bona fides to get an Adderall script. I don't because it's expensive, not just the drugs but the monthly doctors visits for a controlled substance, and last time I was treated like a junkie rather than a patient with pharmacists even refusing to fill my Klonopin/Adderall combo. Not sure how it is the UK, I mean obviously it's "free," but if it's not hard to get, speed can be handy. Sex is really fun on it, it makes you really productive, and it sure beats a cup of coffee to wake up, but it's also pretty damn addictive.

It’s hard that food corporations have only three meals a day to shovel corn and vegetable oil down our gullets. To solve for this, they have invented a new meal: bedtime cereal.
