People who are tech-savvy would likely use DNS adblockers or add the extension through Developer Options.

Anyone who cares about their privacy would switch browsers (honestly they should have done so already).

Only when I’m in a call, Wine games (like Overwatch) will stutter large amounts every half a second. When I play solo, though, it runs very smooth. I guess I gave up early; I’ll try again a bit later.

I didn’t think to try that, but then I’d lose global hotkeys. Not a deal breaker though. I’ll give it a shot.

I’ve been putting off switching over to Linux full time for a while. The Linus video finally helped me go for it. It was almost perfect.

Unfortunately, Discord caused stuttering every half a second. Monitors with different refresh rates didn’t play well together. I could not watch Twitch while playing games.

All of these things are small but they ruined the experience for me, and I went back. It’s a shame though, I really wanted to keep Linux.

I kept the partition, though. So if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

I recently switched to this setup with i3 as a window manager. I’ve been loving it so far!

The next order of business is to ditch Plasma and use raw i3, but that’s quite daunting.

Use Firefox instead. These days, it’s just as good if not better than Chrome in a lot of ways.

I guess if you really need the Blink engine, consider Ungoogled Chromium.

My dad was a software developer at the time and needed a PC at home. As I grew up, I was interested and watched him do things online. He eventually got me a dual Kid Pix/Cloud 9 CD that I spent my time playing.

He soon got my my own PC (an old Compaq tower that was once my uncle's) and introduced me to programming (in QBASIC). I slowly shifted from playing Flash games to writing code.

Lucky Patcher died with XPosed

While XPosed was dead for a while, the developer brought it back as a Magisk module. It works as if it was installed traditionally, and Lucky Patcher is compatible with it (at least, as far as my usage requires).

It does break Safetynet, though; not important to me personally, but it might be a deal-breaker for some.
