What is funniest to me is all the people thinking they've got a gotcha by making it sound like gay pride.

The origins of the Proud Boys is that it was a fan club for the comedian Gavin McInnes. If you don't know him yet, look him up, he's HILARIOUS and an anti-woke comedian.

There was an intern (or a classmate of his son, his story changed slightly later) that was singing [proud of your boy]from the Aladdin musical](https://youtu.be/DX4YR3ItBsw) and he thought it was really gay and funny. So he created a group from his fans that were supposed to learn to be men. It was basically a knock off of fight club, but it was never meant to be taken seriously.

After people started protesting his shows, especially on college campuses and often attacking his fans, the Proud Boys showed up to protect fans and make sure they could exit and enter.

They started kinda showing up to a lot of anti-fa and SJW rallys after that. Including the Charlotte riots. This is when CNN started calling everyone who was not on the left there racists and Nazis. At this point the Proud Boys had absolutely nothing to do with race at all.

After that though a lot more racists really did start joining.

Honestly, I really get it. I liked your story and related to it. I feel the pretty much the same way about Las Vegas.

A lot of my friends go to Vegas all the time. It's only a 4 hour drive, but some of my friends opt for flight passes instead where they will fly out about once a month for a weekend trip.

That entire city is designed just to suck money out of you. The more you spend the better time you have. If you try to go without spending a lot, you are not going to have fun, plain and simple.

I like Vegas, and I enjoy going once a year or so, but it always follows the same pattern for me. I am excited to go there. I have the time of my life the first day, maybe two. Then I regret ever coming, because I have spent 3x what I had originally budgeted. Even if I have the money to spare, I feel like I got taken advantage of.

I don't even really gamble so it's not that part that gets me. It's just all the luxury experiences that claim one price then have dozens of up sells along the way if you want a really good experience paired with the fact that you are usually tipsy, drunk, or otherwise inebriated to the point of losing most of your inhibitions. Even without chemical changes the psychology of being there alone makes you feel compelled to say "fuck it" and spend more money than you normally would.

I've never really been to Disney World, from what I can tell it would be a similar experience though. Much like Vegas the sheer size of it makes you feel like your only option is to spend money at Disney stores and shops. You are essentially locked in, and have to spend a fortune to keep having fun. Yes you can go off the strip in Vegas or out of Disney World in Orlando, but it's such a hassle the waste of time alone makes you feel like it's not worth it either.

At Disneyland we rarely spend all that much in the parks themselves. Usually like $40 on average. We tend to eat in Downtown Disney which is like a mall on Disney property, or we go just off property to Anaheim and go to either a restaurant, or In'n'out or Pizza Press or something like that then we can go back into the park. Also we live so close that before the introduced the reservation system for covid, we could just check how busy the park is on the app, and go on a whim if it's empty. We could easily go for like 3 hours, get on maybe 4 or 5 rides and not spend a single cent beyond the negligible gas cost of driving for 10 minutes each way, and the initial cost of the annual pass. I even used to bike there sometimes which would take off the cost of gas too.

Da Galatia Peopo 3:6-4:7

Hawai‘i Pidgin

6 Jalike Abraham. He wen trus God. Az why God wen say Abraham get um right wit him.

7 So den, you guys gotta undastan dis: Da peopo dat trus God, dey jalike Abrahamʼs kids. 8 God wen show inside da Bible dat he goin make all da diffren peopos get um right wit him, cuz dey trus God. So God wen tell Abraham da Good Stuff From God way befo time. He say: “Cuz a you, I goin do plenny good stuffs fo all da diffren peopos all ova da world.” 9 So den, God goin do plenny good stuffs fo da peopo who trus him, jalike he wen do fo Abraham, da guy who wen trus him.

10 Whoeva try do everyting da Rules say fo get um right wit God, dey get one kahuna on top dem. Cuz da Bible say, “Everybody who no stay do everyting dat Godʼs Rules say we gotta do, dey get one kahuna on top dem.” 11 Stay clear dat no mo nobody dat do everyting da Rules say. Dass why nobody get um right wit God da way God see um. Cuz God wen say inside da Bible, “Da guy dat get um right wit me cuz he trus me, he da one dat goin live fo real kine.” 12 You know, if you jus do wat da Rules say, dat no mean you trussing God. God wen say inside da Bible, “Whoeva do everyting da Rules say, dey goin live cuz dey stay do um.” But us guys, we no mo da power fo do everyting da Rules say.

13 Christ, he wen pay da price fo cut us guys loose, so we no gotta do everyting da Rules say fo get um right wit God. Dass why now, we no goin get kahuna on top us. Christ wen get our kahuna on top him, cuz da Bible wen say, “Everybody dat dey kill an hang on top one post, dey get kahuna on top dem.” 14 Christ wen mahke fo pay da price fo us guys, so dat all da diffren peopos all ova da world can get da good stuff God wen promise Abraham, an so us guys who stay tight wit Jesus can get Godʼs Spirit, jalike God wen promise.

Da Rules an Wat God Wen Promise

15 Eh, bruddas, I goin talk bout someting dat everybody can undastan. If one guy make one will an sign um in front odda peopo, den nobody can change um o make um no good. 16 So, God wen promise da good stuffs to Abraham an his boy. He neva say, “an fo yoa boys,” cuz dass plenny peopo. He ony say, “an fo yoa boy,” cuz dass ony one guy, Christ. 17 Dis wat I mean. God wen make da deal wit Abraham long time befo, bout Christ. Den, four hundred an thirty years afta dat, God wen give Moses da Rules. But da Rules no mo power fo make Godʼs promise no good. 18 If Godʼs kids can get dea share cuz dey work fo um wen dey do wat Godʼs Rules say, den no need God fo promise um dea share jalike one gif. Cuz nobody work fo one gif. But God wen give um to Abraham jalike one gif, jalike he wen promise.

19 How come get da Rules, den? God wen give um cuz everybody do bad kine stuff. Wen Godʼs Boy wen come, da One da promise talk bout, den fo get um right wit God, no need da Rules no moa. Angel messenja guys wen give Moses da Rules, an den Moses wen give um to da peopo. So Moses wen stay in da middle, fo talk to both God an da peopo. 20 Need one guy in da middle fo talk to both guys, but no need um if get ony one guy. God stay ony one God, an he wen fix up everyting by himself.

Da Rules Teach Us Bout da Bad Kine Stuff

21 You tink Godʼs Rules stay working agains Godʼs promises? No way! If had rules dat get da power fo make peopo live foeva, den God wen make peopo get um right wit him wit dem rules. But neva had dat kine rules. 22 Da Bible wen say dat everybody stay do da bad kine stuff, an dey no can pau do um. An dass how come da Bible wen say dat, fo show dat peopo gotta go trus Jesus Christ, fo get da kine life God wen promise.

23 But befo da time fo trus Christ wen come, we gotta do wat da Rules say, no matta we no mo power fo do um. Dass how wen stay till da time wen come fo God show us how fo trus him. 24 Da Rules jalike one babysitter fo bring us to Christ, so dat we can trus him an get um right wit God. 25 But now we can trus Christ, so no need one babysitter.

26 All you guys Godʼs kids, cuz you wen trus Jesus, Godʼs Spesho Guy. 27 All you guys who wen get baptize fo stay tight wit Christ an be his guys, now you goin come like him. 28 Now, no matta Jew o not Jew, slave o not slave, guy o wahine, you guys all da same cuz you stay tight wit Christ. 29 You guys Christʼs guys, so den you guys Abrahamʼs kids. An you guys goin get yoa share, jalike God wen promise all his kids.

4 Dis wat I mean. Da fadda like give his boy everyting da fadda get wen he mahke, but da boy no can get um right den an dea if he still yet one small kid. Jalike da slave guy no own his bossʼs stuffs, da kid still yet no own his faddaʼs stuffs, no matta he goin get um lata on. 2 Da boy get peopo his fadda wen pick fo take care him an his stuffs. He gotta do wat dey tell um till da time come dat his fadda wen pick. 3 Same ting wit us guys. Befo Jesus Christ wen come we jalike small kids. We gotta do wat da main spirits dat stay in charge a da world wen tell us. 4 But wen da right time wen come, God wen send his Boy. One wahine wen born him, an he gotta do wat da Rules say. 5 Befo time we gotta do everyting da Rules say fo get um right wit God. But God wen send his Boy Christ so he can mahke fo pay da price fo let us go, so we no gotta stick wit da Rules, an so he can make us jalike his hanai kids.

6 So den, cuz you guys his kids, God wen put his own Boyʼs Spirit inside our hearts, so now we can tell God, “Papa, you my Fadda!” 7 Dass why you guys not jalike slaves no moa dat gotta do wat da Rules say. Now you guys Godʼs kids! An God goin give you guys everyting he goin give his kids.

I agree he's wrong.

It's not "very small" though. Especially when you ran it in comparison to the wall. It's 5 times as much as the wall, 10 times as high of a rate ($75 billion in 2 years vs 15 billion in 4, (actually it was only 12 billion in 4, the other 3 is since 2020 but that's really splitting hairs)).

If 15 billion is a lot then 75 billion is a fuck ton. That's the comparison being made. It's quite simple, it's 5 times as much in half the time!

But more than that, Ukraine spending doesn't benefit us as much as the wall. I know that sounds silly, because of the way the information has been presented, and in a small way I will even contradict that statement, but basically Russia was either always going to win or always going to lose against Ukraine. If Russia had utilized their remaining strength well enough, it would have been over before US assistance would have meant much. But Russia hesitated and poorly strategized. Ukraine in the meanwhile played it's hand masterfully, especially when it came to garnering foreign aid and support. But Russia is basically on a death keel as a superpower. They haven't been nearly as strong as they convinced the world they were since the 80s. Our support while meaningful, in some ways, really doesn't amount to too much in terms of protecting us UNLESS the ultimate outcome is a de-nuclearization of Russia AND none of those nukes go to China.

The wall on the other hand doesn't STOP illegal immigration, but it severely limits the easiest route that is the most difficult to control. There are several ways this is one of our biggest security flaws. It's not just about invading army's or conventional warfare. It could be espionage, or mass migration. Both could easily cripple us. The border wall makes both of these orders of magnitude more difficult and will continue to do so for a century or more.

If this was some sort of ploy by China and Russia together as I believe it initially was. China stands to benefit even by not committing the way I believe they had agreed to to Putin. Every piece of tech that gets used in this war becomes less useful in later combat. China gets to learn from it's usage, find new weaknesses and exploits. They get to do this while benefiting from dirt cheap fuel supplies from Russia sold to finance their war and keep some form of trade going.

Lastly only 46 billion of that 75 came from military budget. 29 billion came from other government branches.

So basically it's the equivalent of maybe spending 1 billion to break Russia, 10-15 billion in PR with Europe, and the rest we might as well be paying for China to have direct access to our tech. It's overall a poor call strategically.

There are really only three significant benefits.

  1. Russia turned out to be even less well equipped than we thought. We got to see Russia play it's hand and though we knew they were bluffing, we didn't know how badly.

  2. NATO stands more united than ever... BUT because idiots are shouting that the US isn't giving enough to Ukraine, even though we are objectively giving more than any other country besides Ukraine itself. Because of this the good will PR we bought is largely undone. Most European nations don't look at the numbers and think we are barely giving anything.

  3. It destabilizes Russia and embarrasses Putin and his regime. This may end any hope they had for rebuilding the USSR_2.0 and COULD potentially lead to a de-arming of their nuclear weapons. However we are nowhere near that yet, and that really isn't much more likely to happen with 75 billion than it would have been with 1 million.

[–]makesyoudownvote 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

You are correct about the $15 billion spent on the wall.

Almost all of it came out of US defensive spending and it is ALSO only a tiny fraction of the US military spending.

The US has given $75 billion to Ukraine to date and only $46.6 of it came from our military spending.

$75 billion vs 15 billion. Which is a smaller drop of USes budget?

Let's put it this way. Which do you think would protect you better? Spending $100 to get a sturdy steel door on your house that locks, or sending $500 to your high school bully's little brother because that bully was mean to him? Which is more likely to stop bugs from getting in, or wild animals?

Russia is nothing. They are a shadow of their former self. They have nuclear weapons, but virtually no reliable way to use them. Other than that they are conservatively at least 20 years behind the US in every way. Thanks to our high military defense budget.

Also, I don't know how often you have been to the wall, but from a design and engineering standpoint, it's actually pretty damned impressive/amazing. Any fence or wall can be defeated, but this wall is actually among the more difficult to bypass. It's EXTREMELY difficult to climb and virtually impossible to cut through and fairly difficult to dig tunnels under. I think you conception of what the wall is, is completely off base. It's basically a bunch of 30 foot tall bollards, that are straight and staggered so you can't even fit an arm through them to grip anything. You can't set a standard ladder against them either because of the gaps. They are also buried fairly deep and tunneling them, though possible, is extremely difficult. Even if you manage to, if you dig too close to the top which is at minimum 6 feet deep, so say you dug 8-10 feet deep, the bollard could come sliding down blocking your tunnel and potentially impaling anyone under it at the time.

As far as closure of military bases... Really? You do realize that the entire maritime economy depends on the enforcement by US military right? I'm not just talking about the US, the entire world economy would collapse if the US didn't protect trade and enforce global stability. This is the kinda hare brained theory that every fresh out of high school liberal arts college bound kid thinks.

I'm further left than most of this site, and I'm definitely not a Trump fan boy. I actually am more inclined towards the other side of this. I do in general think supporting Ukraine is in our best interests. But your facts here literally make zero sense to anyone with even a rudimentary understanding.

Also if you want a real threat to the US, look slightly further east to China. We are extremely lucky that our support of Ukraine didn't provoke China into supporting Russia. We'd still win, but at a huge cost, and not for long. Every piece of tech we send to Ukraine in their war brings China that much closer to determining how to defeat our tech, and they are already really close.

I'm with you for the first two sentences, you start losing me after that.

He is correct that the financial industries and the entertainment industries are both run by mostly Jewish people. But that doesn't mean it's RUN by "THE JEWS".

Where he and a lot of people who frequent this site are wrong is that there is no conspiracy on the level they think there is.

Jewish people are a protected class and have been since the end of WW2. But that doesn't mean they are the ones that choose or enforce this.

You are partly right about Zionists, because Israel was and has been a clusterfuck. They literally displaced people who were already living there.

There is also truth the the fact that in the US Zionists tend to get more pull than they should, largely because of the convenient placing of Jewish people in financial and entertainment sectors and the amount of funding we send towards Israel is kind of crazy.

But not quite as crazy as the Anti-semetic people think. It's more strategic than that. The U.S. has been trying to get a decent foothold in the Middle East since forever for strategic reasons. The U.S. has similarly over funded other regimes and countries in the Middle East like Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and more. Israel so far has offered the most steadfast and truly loyal relationship to the middle east from the U.S. Israel might as well be a U.S. territory in some ways. They are the second most advanced (not powerful but advanced) military in the world and much of our funneled dollars end up paying directly back to us because their research is shared with us. Hydroponics technology, air and missile defense, and many more technologies come almost directly out of our close relationship with Israel.

Also to add, Palestine and other Arab states in the region are not entirely innocent either. Their position is understandable, but they use some down right barbaric practices towards Israel and American forces in the region.

Now that doesn't mean I fully support it. I'm part Middle Eastern. I come from a partly Muslim family.

But people on ALL sides of this debate tend to overstate their own sides and overlook many of the complexities and nuances in the clusterfuck that is the middle east and American/Jewish relations.

My biggest beef with how we handle Kanye is that his points should raise a discussion. Even if he is 100% wrong, it would be much better to PROVE that publicly so that others can learn from the debate, rather than censoring him and pretending like it's 100% him just being evil or crazy. He's neither. He's just a bit misguided and tends to frame things in overly dramatic ways, which makes his lyrics in music more compelling and interesting, but isn't the best at avoiding controversy and encouraging discussion. He needs to learn from THIS.

So they convince themselves just because they are not blonde bimbos or dude bros that means they must be neither and that simply by existing as such they are tearing down millennia of gender oppression by the patriarchal tyranny that exists over everything.

  1. They usually have to be in their 30s. Not 21, not 18, certainly not 13, but 30+.

  2. They have to get permission from their spouse or significant other often.

Yet we are letting 13 year old children undergo much more drastic changes that involve sterilization, for a procedure that supposedly prevents suicide, but statistically does nothing to this effect.

I don't think the statement is contradictory any more than saying "I'm a pirate and I've never even been to Pittsburgh" is contradictory. You could also be someone who downloads content on the internet, or someone who raids ships off the coast of Somalia.

The terms liberal and conservative are simply colloquial terms and are only used that way in ONE of dozens of English speaking nations. In most English speaking nations in fact the liberal party IS their right wing party.

I am a liberal because I believe in the political philosophy of liberal. That's a more true definition than the loose term in the U.S. that vaguely means someone who is left wing, even though liberalism isn't even really on the left right spectrum but an entirely different axis of being anti-authoritarian.

I guess in a way that does make me an idiot though because I will die on this hill. I want to bring the term back to it's actual meaning. The left stopped being liberal the moment they started pushing for socialism and wanting to enforce speech laws.

Trans violence is violence - Middle school trans-identified male beats up girl (Video) by ClassroomPast6178 in TumblrInAction

I think it's the opposite of what you are thinking. The language tripped me up too.

It's always difficult to tell, because both sides of the debate refuse to speak using the same terminology.

But generally the anti-trans people are a little more consistent with language than the TRAs who like to constantly violate their own rules. When sane people say male or female they are talking about the biology, their birth sex or as the trans people like to try to say their "assigned" sex.

Man and woman or boy and girl conversely can be "gendered terms" depending on who is using them.

A trans man is a female.

A trans woman is a male.

Still confusing, but at least this language is consistent.

The perpetrator is a male who identifies as a woman, AMAB, MtF whatever you want to call it.

"She" has a penis. "She" is still a male regardless of whether or not "she's" a woman.

This is why people here want "her" held to the same standards of violence against women a cis man would be. Because no matter how she feels or identifies, her body is still male and caries the same strength advantages of being a man.

Neither party means anything, they are just two place holders for opposition that attempts to sway a little over half the country.

Now there are people in charge trying to dictate what that ~50% thinks and often heavily manipulates primaries, but Democrat abd Republican don't actually really mean anything.

Liberal means something, and that something is definitely not what the modern Democrat party represents.

Conservative means something, and MAGA Republicans don't really all practice that either.

A republic and a democracy both have meanings too, but they also have no specific association with the parties of the same name.

To add to the berry theory, at least the story they used was that it came from the boysberries grown at nearby Knotts Berry Farm.

Knott's Berry Farm infamously tried to reproduce this though and failed. They sell purple boysenberry honey, but it's only purple because they add boysenberry flavoring to the honey.

Something I have noticed remarkably often is that these people seem to have a fascination with being a child or teen version of the gender they are adopting. This seems ESPECIALLY true with FtMs.

There might be a fomo thing or a past tragedy thing. They feel like they missed out on the defining experiences that make them adults of their gender. I mean puberty and adolescence are really challenging times for most people. Also it's not like people really feel like they are just suddenly adults.

But I think there is also an aspect of getting a redo or second chance, something most people over 13 or so wish for to some extent. I still feel like this is a major underlying component of the trans desire.

Both of these may kind of explain some of the obsession with letting children transition.

From 2000-2012 I was a pretty active member in many pro-LGBT organizations and as such I have had a LOT of trans people in my life. To me one of the biggest reasons I left and why I end up being called a transphobe all the time, is that I feel like a huge majority of them are suffering from a grass is greener and magic pill delusion. I have watched so many of them get worse and lose more touch with reality after beginning their transition journey and improve if and when they detransition. The suicide rate and depression seems anecdotally even higher among people who have undergone gender affirming care or procedures. I think they largely have unrealistic ideas of what gender is, beyond the surface level of penis and whatnot.

FtMs often think everyone will immediately treat them with respect or listen to them. They think they will be magically more confident and feel safe. When they don't they look for a scapegoat and transphobia or transmisogny make convincing ones. They also never seem to understand or really come to terms with what they are giving up, and when they find this out they seek to "fix" masculinity to make it more like femininity, because that's often their true nature, but they can't admit they made a mistake.

MtFs are similar, but there seems to be far more of a sexual component. They often think they will suddenly be desirable and that people will bend over backwards for them. This is an exaggerated perception of the female experience and one that really only attractive women experience anyways. They are seldom attractive and thus don't experience this. People are still revolted by and feel unsafe by their presence just like they do cis men.

Overall I have no problem with people dressing however they want, going by whatever name they want etc. If a person's asks me to address them by alternative pronouns (within reason, I won't say catself or any really silly stuff like that) I will gladly make my best effort do it so long as they treat me with respect as well. Much like how if a woman chooses to go by her maiden name or her married name, or if a doctor asks me to call them Dr.[Name] I do so. But again this is only so long as they treat me with respect as well. It's a two way street.

BUT, I really don't think it's good for most of them to be so disconnected from reality. Eventually reality will confront them and it's only that much more brutal the more you have deluded yourself up until then.

Something about this story does not add up. Why did the pilot punch out of a perfectly good jet that still flew on autopilot another 70 miles? How was his life in imminent danger? From what? Any ideas? by thomastheglassexpert in AskSaidIt

[–]makesyoudownvote 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

First off I want to say that I actually agree there is something fishy here, but I don't think where you are looking.

I do think the F-35 gets a bit more hype than is warranted, largely because they have to recoup the price by selling to foreign allies. Issues often get swept under the rug, downplayed or are distracted by other stories like this.

That said, I can think of dozens of reasons a pilot might eject and somehow the jet continues on autopilot for 70 miles. He doesn't have the benefit of knowing it's about to make it another 70 miles. It might look like it's about to fail eminently and then miraculously doesn't. Sensors could be indicating something worse than reality or perhaps the plane just miraculously lasted longer than it should have.

My car drove at least 800 miles last year while my engine mounts had completely rusted out. I had no idea except a bunch of warning lights that came on about 600 miles into it. It's a miracle my engine didn't just slip out, but somehow it just rested on the shocks and kept me going for way longer than my mechanic would have ever thought possible. Real life doesn't behave exactly the way you expect no matter how much you look at the data. Sometimes a stray spark causes a massive wildfire in a damp and rainy season, sometimes an entire box of matches wont start your expertly built campfire.

I find the story itself plenty believable, it's just the plane itself I don't trust. The "cutting edge" F-35 Lightning II is remarkably susceptible to electronic and electrical warfare. That last bit is a dig at how it apparently can't fly during lightning storms. You heard that right. It's called the Lightning II and it absolutely shits the bed in a lightning strike.

I'm sorry about your penis.

But seriously, I do think that's the one valid reason I thought. Sexuality is very easy to weaponize. No matter how much the LGBT whatever thinks they have accomplished, sexuality is still something people react to without logic but rather just on emotions, and somehow no one else realizes it or is allowed to counter. You are absolutely right it would probably get SaidIt shut down quickly.

I disagree that it adds nothing though. I think people also underestimate how important sex and sexuality is to their psyche or their souls whatever you want to call it. It's as important as rest, or entertainment in general to most people and people who try to stuff it down are among the most dangerous. I understand that religon tends to shame and belittle it, but even in the Abrahamic religions one of the mandates of God is to go forth and multiply. I think this gets under appreciated in dogma. Sex is vital to the human experience.

As someone with IBS and Celiacs disease this is basically my worst nightmare.

I had something similar happen once while deep water SCUBA diving in Baja California.

Trying to hold it when I needed a decompression time was awful. I didn't make it and the stuff made it all the way up my suit and into my beard. I was surrounded by fish though like a Disney princess as apparently they liked the taste. Less so of the group I was scuba diving with. They swam over to see the fish and I tried to wave them away.

The worst part was the miserable 2 hour boat ride back with shoulder to shoulder space and over a dozen people crammed shoulder to shoulder with my stinking suit sitting in the middle of the boat, and having to ask the captain to stop every few minutes so I could jump overboard and shit again. :(

This is for them more than us, but I really wish we could at least attempt to have these discussions without using such weighted or leading language.

Take "Trans Rights are human rights". I mean yeah technically. Trans people are human, so any rights they have would be human rights, but then again so are Nazis, murderers, and even wealthy elites.

If I were to say that Elon Musk deserves the right to take anything he wants from anyone at any time, technically thay would be giving a human a right. The problem is that it infringes on the property rights of others. It infringes on their human rights. There is no more fundamental human right than free thought, and when you force people to conceptualize others a certain way you have infringed on these rights. That's what Jordan Peterson was on about with his take on trans rights and the freedom of speech associated with it.

Now to be honorable we should avoid using words like mutilate in any kind of discussion where we actually want to accomplish things. You are free to conceptualize it that way, and obviously you are free to use said language if you want, but it's counter to having a real discussion. They wont use the same language because that's not how they see it. Both parties in good faith need to make an effort to find common language and common ground in having a discussion. They just know that if they ever did, their arguments would mostly fall apart, so the TRAs refuse to.

I used to think left.

Then I used to think right.

Now I am not sure even moderates do. It's so fucked.

Culturally we have lost the ability to listen or grow. We have isolated ourselves into bubbles of like minded people and forgotten how to have heated but civil discussions.

That's what I love about saidit so far. I can argue with all the far right anti-semites and they are surprisingly better about taking it and arguing back than even the more moderate on sites like reddit.

Well yeah, the Talmud didn't even begin to exist until about 150 years after Jesus died, just like the new testament in the Bible. It is basically just a bunch of discussions on how to interpret the Torah/Old Testament that came about as a result of Jesus splitting the Jewish faith into what became Christianity and creating the new testament that put a brand new perspective on the old testament. Yes they specifically deny Jesus, and you can call that evil, but the whole cult of Baal thing is absolute hogwash.

Also: Jesus was absolutely Jewish and proudly states this repeatedly in the Bible. He simply believed that the Jewish people on the whole had lost their way. Just like the Jews themselves did every few centuries before Jesus. That's basically most parts of the sacred text/Bible/Koran/Torah are about.

Maybe you should read more translations of the Bible to get a better sense of what's intended instead of what a particular author or set of authors thought some time in the past 400 years since it's been translated to English.

Also, I am assuming you only read KJV or NKJV based on your repeating of the same mistakes. Get a more full picture. Or better yet, if you really want to learn the bible, learn greek and/or latin and read some more original versions, rather than a rush job created by a committee so quickly that it used to say things like "Thou shall commit adultery" and "God showed us his great asse".

I'm not shaming the KJV. It's my go to edition too, but maybe just broaden your perspective just a bit. If Jesus stood for one thing it was not to hate or oppress anyone. He taught to turn the other cheek. The anti-jewish stuff is more of a Mohammed/Islamic thing, and even he taught to respect and care for "people of the book" meaning Christians and Jews.

The Hawaii fire had fuck all to do with any Jewish conspiracy. At least not to that extent. If you were to say on the other hand that it's an elites conspiracy of which a disproportionate number of them tend to be Jewish and it might be a small group of Jewish elites really pulling the strings, I might think there is moee to that. I might even go as far as to buy that this is a successor in a way to the Jews who ran the original Dutch East India trading company. I'd buy that people like Epstein were part of this. Not enough to really believe it, but enough to believe you put in research work and weren't just repeating something you had a tenuous grasp on.

But yeah I can promise you, knowing quite a few Jewish people, that there is absolutely no way the average Jew has an association with this anymore than you, Chris Pratt, Jim Caviezel and Kevin Sorbo are all in league to turn Hollywood into a Christian only entity.
