I'm not sure, but that's a good question. I tried to look up more information but couldn't find anything about the effectiveness.

However, I did find a version they developed to use on people in stores, which is kind of hilarious: https://www.odditycentral.com/funny/japans-bizarre-anti-crime-orange-balls-a-unique-way-to-stop-crime.html

I suppose it's like the exploding ink pack idea on expensive clothes tags

Advocating violence against groups of people falls at the very bottom of the pyramid of debate. You might enjoy www.voat.co more, the culture there might be more to your liking.

I am also hyper sensible to smell and all of my memories are linked to smells that I somehow saved as a back-up for my memories, like a dog or something.

That part sounds like synesthesia, where two senses or parts of memory are mixed with a sensory perception. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia

It makes sense that you have strong memories to smell, it's in the part of your brain that's "oldest" from an evolutionary perspective and smell is one of the oldest senses. This ends up making it very useful for memories. That's what I learned from my psychology studies anyway.

That's cool that you're unique though, that's something to be proud of I think.

Interesting ideas. In my opinion, the best revenge is to build a separate place so wonderful and full of great information and community that reddit falls apart forever and people come here instead.

I can't say I care too much about spez lol. But that said, it's good to shine a spotlight on how reddit is falling apart, like in /s/meanwhileonreddit. I'm a big fan of documenting corruption and documenting the censorship of real information.

We should hyperinflate money until rich people lose it all, then inflate it. by Teak in whatever

[–]magnora7 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Edit For the inflation, try imagining time limited money. A 100 dollar bill with a printed on mini calendar is worth 99 next month, 98 in two etc.

That's what the federal reserve does with it's 2% target inflation interest rate. You just literally described status quo federal reserve policy, heh

I agree with what you said about having better currencies though. I think cryptocurrencies might help with that.

You're right. I guess I mean it more in the sense of having a million rules, and the only people who care enough to keep track of them all are the anal-retentive people trying to create an authoritarian echo-chamber. That's what I saw on reddit again and again, so the less rules the better. Not that we can't have new rules, but if something is covered by the existing rules in any way we should work hard to not add more rules as long as the site culture isn't actually decaying. That's how I see it.
