Anonymity can be important for privacy and safety reasons. But I guess Reddit has its reasons for wanting more transparency.

Wow. This was pretty jarring to see but it’s pretty dark humor but I do see that there are something good here and I think that this might offend some people. I do found it a bit funny after a few seconds but I don’t blame people for getting mad.

Reddit is a bit of a hit or miss IMO but I hope you made the right decision since it can be tough to leave.

What i like about Saidit is that there's no downvoting, you can both click insightful and funny. Which i think it's superior to Reddits' upvote/downvote system. by TheStandingResident in SaidIt

I totally get what you mean! The upvote/downvote system on reddit can sometimes lead to a bit of a popularity contest. It's cool that Saidit keeps it simple with insightful and funny options. It's a more positive way to engage with content without the negativity of downvoting.

I find it pretty awesome too. It's refreshing to see that people are open to different ideas and respect each other's right to express themselves. In a world where online arguments are often the norm, finding a place where civilised discussions happen is a rare treat.
