Its no use, because of the euphemism treadmill. Any word that is used to exclusively mean female will be appropriated by some trans women for themselves. I have seen people (born male) seriously argue that their penis is female because they are women and their body parts are female no matter what body parts they are. They're delusional of course but people really think this way.

In the comments there is more info, the person was comparing going through the NHS vs people paying out of pocket for implants. Of course if you are using a private surgeon and paying out of pocket there isn't going to be a problem. Its essentially a cosmetic surgery and its ludicrous that someone would think a state run healthcare would act at the speed of private practice when someone is requesting what is essentially a cosmetic procedure.

They don't actually have that high of a suicide rate, if it was really that high there would be no trans people in a few years. The study that sold that lie was highly flawed. When compared to people with similar mental health issues they don't have a different suicide rate to other non-trans people with mental health problems. They actually have the same suicide rate post transition, too. Transition isn't "literally lifesaving" in other words.

Perhaps but the gay sex they were having makes them same sex attracted at the time they were having it. That they might be straight now doesn't make it less gay. We are talking about trans women chasers, so like I said its still homosexual sex they are having regardless of their own feelings about it.

This argument reminds me of Dan Savage's jokes about dating "straight" men, like their gayness ends at orgasm or something. "What do you mean you're straight, your dick is still in my ass" <-- Dan Savage quote.

I'm somewhat conspiratorially minded, my thought is that 1) its a liberal/lefty cause, and thus gets a lot of amplification because of that 2) the world is facing a lot of real world problems right now that no one has very good answers for - crop failures, fuel shortages, housing shortages and focusing on a sideshow distracts people's attention away from govt failures.

Actually the 41% figure has been debunked - It was about self reported rates of suicidal ideation. Not even attempts or completed attempts. If there was an actual epidemic of trans suicides where would be tons of articles about it not just random articles from trans activist organizations. Like everything else trans activists say its a complete lie.

I'm subbed to the fakedisordercringe sub on reddit, its amazing to me how many people think this crap is cool. I don't have tourettes but I have mental health problems and a few real disorders that people also think its fun to fake (like POTS, I don't have POTS but I have a similar disorder called orthostatic hypotension). I suppose faking having these things is fun, but actually having them kind of sucks.

ETA - when I was going through school and college I remember being told that split personality or MPD wasn't actually a thing, that there wasn't very much evidence for this actually happening and if it did it was incredibly rare. IDK how we got from there to here, from the fake disorder sub it sounds a lot like people making OCs and cosplaying for attention.

I have health insurance and getting my doctors to give any fucks about my problems is a uphill battle. But if you actually have serious mental health problems getting a diagnosis isn't that difficult. Its effective treatment that is hard. And none of that means you can self diagnose.

If you search youtube for 'transvestigations" you'll find a bunch of videos dedicated to looking at celebs and deciding if they are trans or not. Some of them are interesting, some of them are clearly weird. Most tims pass better when they are younger, by the time they hit 25+ they start to look more manly and less androgynous and then don't pass as well. In the Im Poppy video he looks like a teenager and I wouldn't have thought he was male if I didn't know.

The original concept was coined so that black women or other POC women (but black women specifically) could have the words to talk about overlapping oppression, like both black and female, or black, female, and lesbian. But it quickly was taken by the wokerati and turned into the oppression olympics (which TIMs won, apparently). Its lost all meaning and nowdays means "including men" in everything. Personally I think its lost whatever it once had as a concept and should basically be thrown out.

I think for many people the feeling of wrongness that you feel doesn't necessarily mean that you are something else. Being or feeling wrong doesn't logically progress to "and that meant I'm something else". You can feel all sorts of feelings about your body without necessarily making the leap to "and therefore I'm something else". I don't get that leap also, like lovesloan says despite everything you don't really understand what its like to be a female.

They're defending Islam because islam is anti-western. Its not because they're POC (many arabs are basically white). Its also because of Israel - many leftists are anti-semetic and will defend whoever is fighting Israel, and now its the Palestinians, most of whom are Muslim.

This is going to F up her spine and gait, she'll be in a world of hurt from her hips and back when she's older. My hips are uneven and I'm constantly in pain in my hips and back.

I think Her had this feature at one point - you could filter out or specify people who id'd themselves on the app as transwomen, but the transwomen said it was ~transphobic of course so they stopped it.

James Shupe detransitions (again). Any drug which lowers the libido can be used to treat AGP so why don't they use them? by jet199 in itsafetish

[–]kwallio 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Its actually kind of hilarious how un-self-aware AGP people are. I read an account of a guy who transitioned, detransitioned, then retransitioned and went through that entire process at least twice. Never realizing the whole time that his desire to transition was due to his libido, and that when he was on blockers and hormones his desire to live as a woman went kaput. This guy will probably retransition.

The lack of logic between "I don't feel 100% like a mass media stereotype of a woman" and "therefore I must be a man" kind of kills me. Like...there is a middle ground in gender presentation you don't have to be one extreme or the other.

And my point still fucking stands, he is in a SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH ANOTHER MALE HE IS GAY GAY GAY GAYER THAN GAY GAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

And there is nothing wrong with him being gayer than a $2 bill, its fine, its just the whole HAVING SEX WITH ANOTHER MALE JUST GAY THINGS GAY that he is doing.

ETA he could be bi but the whole GAY SEX THING HE IS DOING IS PRETTY HELLA GAY.

Teaching is a ton of BS to start with, having students changing names is outrageous.

For GC: what makes someone trans? by [deleted] in GCdebatesQT

[–]kwallio 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I mean if I had to go along with trans dogma or lose my job I would probably say what I had to in order to stay employed. But in my view transgenderism is basically a delusion, a false idea that changing sex is possible, or that brains have a sex and that one has or can have the brain of a different sex. Every study on the human brain in the different sexes has shown that apart from a slight difference in size (female brains are smaller) there are no measurable or significant differences in the brain between the sexes . So no, I don't believe that anyone can actually be trans.

[–]kwallio 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I don't really believe that transgenderism, or gender dysphoria is really a thing. A person wearing the opposide sex's clothes or presenting as the opposite sex is just crossdressing. The trans concept is based in a foofy religous like concept of inner essence which as an atheist I reject completely. Your mind is an embodied concept, it does not exist outside of the body, so transgenderism is just religious-like hooey.

I would like a trans person to define what transgenderism means to them, including all trans people including people who don't crossdress or transition since no hatekeeping, ok?
