I'm half Mexican, my great grandparents immigrated here from Mexico (legally). I have nothing against legal immigration, but to suggest that it's a good thing to make an existing population the minority in their own country is just plain stupid. Some immigration is healthy to the economy and culture, but history has shown that mass influxes from immigrants causes wage depression, strain on infrastructure, and general animosity. The whole point of immigrating to another country is to embrace it's culture and assimilate, not to replace and usurp. I'll never understand these self hating idiots.

Well, I consider myself a centrist, certainly further left on some key issues than most here. My real issue is the demonization and silencing of the right, regardless of whether or not I agree with their positions, free speech is sacrosanct. Maybe those of us who are sufficiently disorderly and subversive can play that game while you're building a whole new one. A two front war, lol.

I consider myself a centrist, probably a bit left of most people here on some key issues. I enjoy different viewpoints, I'm not looking to shout anyone down or insult them for not sharing my worldview. I came here not because I couldn't find people who agree with me on reddit, but because only hearing your own opinion repeated back to you isn't a conversation, it's intellectual rot.

I'm brand new here myself, I haven't seen people getting shouted down so far. I still frequent reddit because there's just more content, but yeah, the censorship and far left culture is becoming unbearable.

And don't take my useful idiot remark to be an insult, it's a term that was used by the Soviets to describe communist sympathizers in the west who were acting against their own interests. In the context that I was using it I was saying that inflammatory language by us is what the far left wants, and when we use it we're essentially working for them.

As much as you're right that there's clearly a racist double standard, you're also wrong to think that we can make any progress by meeting their racism with our own. You can't win the war of ideas by arming the other side. Every time someone drops an n-bomb it gives them a victory, don't be their useful idiot.
