There have certainly been efforts to disrupt the website. Have they been successful? No, their schemes are clearly seen through. Yeah the Reddit in-group signaling and other barriers to entry are too high, but that’s not to say the same thing doesn’t happen on saidit and/or here.

By the way, I was scammed out of half a million dollars by a formerly prominent Reddit user - u/go1dfish - not a year and a half ago.
