Yes, because no girl or woman has a penis.

No you don’t. If you actually wanted everyone to be happy you wouldn’t waste everyone’s time whining and trying to make lesbians feel bad for not wanting your dick.

I just, see lesbians reply with, “Maybe you haven’t had good dick yet” and I feel like I’m being forgotten in a way.*

Oh, so you can dish out dick-love, but you can’t take it?

  1. Not being able to have biological children with your partner is emotionally difficult and incredibly frustrating for many gay and lesbian couples. (I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: Knowing I couldn’t ever have kids with my partner was the hardest part of accepting my sexual orientation.) Thanks for pointing out that straight couples can have kids, while homosexual couples can’t, Aiden.

  2. This illustrates perfectly why we need to drop the T. If same-sex couples cannot discuss our shared experiences without being accused of bigotry, we cannot speak for ourselves as a distinct group of people.

Why It’s Transphobic to Deny Attraction to Transgender People - an article that I found. What a load of bullshit. by [deleted] in LGBDropTheT

[–]julesburm1891 62 insightful - 2 fun62 insightful - 1 fun63 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

To disagree is to misgender us.

Cool story. Still doesn’t change your sex or that attraction is sex-based.

Of course, sometimes attraction fades after finding something out about another person, whether it be that they drink, they have certain opinions that are deal-breakers, or they don’t respect personal space.

How does OP understand this, but also doesn’t get that finding out someone isn’t a certain sex is a deal-breaker for almost everyone?

[M]arkers of desirability are deeply political, shaped by our environments, cultures, and dominant society.

Please stop telling LGB people that our sexual orientations are learned from society. It manages to be both patently absurd and homophobic.

Generally, basing sexual attraction or orientation solely around genitals is rather invasive, dehumanizing, and a bit unrealistic.

Straw Man. People aren’t just attracted to the genitals of the sex(es) they’re into. They’re into the whole picture—genitals, hips, facial structure, body hair, how they smell when they sweat, where their voice registers, etc.

It’s funny though. Neither myself nor any of my partners have never once had a problem with assuming/acknowledging what was in the other’s pants. It’s almost like people find this normal interaction dehumanizing when they’re LARPing as the opposite sex and people aren’t into it.

[A]s many straight women will tell you, penises usually aren’t that appealing.

In all my years, I’ve never once heard a straight woman say this.

Here’s what I don’t get: why trans people think spaces that aren’t for them need to bend over backwards for them to the point those spaces no longer represent the intended group.

I just started going to a group for people learning Italian. The local German learning group doesn’t barge in and demand we speak German because they aren’t included by Italian language learning. Christians don’t turn up at my synagogue and demand we practice more “inclusively” because they’re being excluded. Basketball players don’t come to the local soccer league and insist we change how we play to fit them in. Literally all of these scenarios would universally be mocked and rightfully pilloried as rude, unrealistic, and insane.

So, why on earth do trans people get a pass to behave similarly to LGB groups and sex-specific groups?

  1. Socialization: Women are socialized to be nice and make others comfortable our entire life. It’s not surprising lesbians were initially nice to transwomen.

  2. Reactions to Women Breaking Socialization Norms: Watch how you and everyone else around reacts the next time you see a woman voice frustration with someone. (Hint: it will probably involve her being called a bitch, being called crazy, and/or being mocked. It doesn’t matter if she was totally in line or no one would bat an eye if a guy did the same thing.) A lot of times we will bite our tongues even if we’re furious or sick of something because we don’t want to deal with the fallout.

  3. Harassment/Threats: Tbh, I don’t know what happens after gay guys shut down trans shit online. What often happens after lesbians do it is that we get graphic rape and death threats in our inbox. What always happens is that we’re banned from the sub.

  4. Actual Violence: Trans people love to complain that people misgendering them is literal violence. Women (lesbian or otherwise) who stand up to trans nonsense irl face actual violence. Whether it’s meetings being attacked, spaces being vandalized, or women be assaulted, it’s real and scary. There’s also the risk that we’ll lose our jobs.

  5. Insidious Transwomen: A couple of weeks ago, someone posted a terrorism manifesto (I don’t know what else to call it) from a transwoman obsessed with Vancouver Rape Relief. One of the strategies he encouraged was infiltrating groups. Basically: get one transwoman or one ally into a group’s leadership and use them to get more and more people in leadership roles. Then use this power to kick out the original women the group was for. I absolutely believe this is exactly what happened with AL along with pretty much every other lesbian or LGB space. Change my mind.

The amount of ass-kissing on AL is not good enough for a transwoman who’s suffering from disapproval of actual lesbians on the sub by [deleted] in LGBDropTheT

Where to even begin? Panel by panel?

  1. Being attracted to only one sex and the sex organ that accompanies them is not a fetish.

  2. There’s no scenario where same-sex couples produce children. If someone is homosexual, the option to biological children with a partner is never on the table. The ability to have biological children doesn’t suddenly make the opposite sex attractive. (Or, you know, LGB people would’ve just become magically straight for centuries.) Furthermore, a straight person coupling with a trans person using your made up definitions would be a homosexual union. It would not produce children.

  3. Show me one transwoman’s body that isn’t male and doesn’t have male genitalia. You can’t. Because the entire purpose of being trans is trying to be like the opposite sex. So, yes, I’ll continue to acknowledge what transwomen’s bodies look like.

  4. Unless they’re completely deceived (which is rape), they most often don’t. But, let’s humor this—if regular people are boning trans people all the time, why don’t trans people ever shut up about how no one will fuck them?

  5. If I want to stand on a street corner and scream about how much I dislike olives, I damn well will. So, you can believe I will continue to assert that I’m not into men.

The race comparisons piss me off too. The problem with segregation was that neutral things like schools and diners were segregated by race, which was obviously unfair. There was absolutely no reason black people should’ve been left out. Trans people are asking that very not neutral things (e.g. bath houses, gay campgrounds, bars, etc.) be open to them with zero regard for the people for which these spaces were created. It’s more like if a synagogue hosted an event to to discuss religions/history/culture for Jews and Christians came banging on the door demanding to be included and everything changed to accommodate them.

American here. I’m also very worried about what Biden’s win will mean for women and for LGB Americans. Biden and Harris both are deep in TQ rhetoric. We’ve already heard ad nauseam how he hopes to enact the Equality Act within the first 100 days of office, despite the fact that gender identity protections run completely contrary to sex-based protections. Additionally, the fact that Biden and Harris have been supportive of transing kids is very concerning. We’re being set up for loads of kids, a significant portion of whom are LGB, to have their futures and bodies ruined for pseudoscientific dogma. In the best case scenario, there will be strong public backlash to the insanity, but I’m afraid the backlash with drag LGB down with it.

You’re, unfortunately, right though. America sets examples that other nations follow for better or worse. If we go down this path, I’m deeply concerned what it means for my brothers and sisters abroad.

Some of my favorite comments:

i hate the “just be t4t” sentiment as if that’s even an ‘available’ option for most trans mlm

Are you saying you aren’t open and available to dating the sex to which you aren’t attracted?

Its like telling someone who WANTS relationships outside of t4t to just give up because they will never be good enough for a cis person

A. Why do you WANT a relationship outside of t4t if transmen are men? Are they not good enough for you? Why? B. You are literally complaining because people are recommending you date “cis” men who are into females.

Also from what I’ve seen a lot of gay trans guys prefer cis guys anyway

Again, if transmen are men, why do you prefer biological men? Why are you allowed to prefer biological men and biological men are not?

It’s like telling someone to only date their own race.
