Country subreddits survive and thrive especially for poorer countries where more and more people are getting access to the internet and finding out about reddit. I barely visit reddit anymore, things have become so that lying on the bed is my favourite position to waste time, much of the time-wasting I do is on the phone now. And no way I'm installing their shitty official app. I have redreader which I use if i really need to, but it never sees any use.

I think I've pissed off a guy just a few days ago lol. Dude was seething, our conversation lasted like 20-30 posts before I left and others argued in my place. But still not enough incentive. Good, I think.

One thing I make a point of, is to not let people know that just one person is behind different persona. If I, in different threads, behave in distinct ways, I do not do anything that will let people know I'm the same guy. If 2 personas are famous for posting specific pictures, I don't post them in the same thread. That way, they can't weave a necklace. The people I've seen get doxed always left a trail. Maybe namefagging, maybe signed off their posts like a retard, maybe upload a very specific set of pictures.

I'm not very good at acting like a retard despite being retarded. If I were, maybe someone would want to dox me.

But one thing's certain, these jokers provide a lot of entertainment and drama.

In my experience (2 of em) people seeking attention on the internet are truly disturbing/disturbed individuals and need mental help. Some guy on an obscure imageboard i haunt uploaded a video of him raping a cat, but forgot to remove the exif data, giving away his location. He also posted a pic of himself, people put two and two together and it was plastered all over the board. He's still a meme on the ib. And he's been seen on a dozen different websites since then. Dude self doxed his phone number recently too because people were posting pictures of his sister and links to her insta. Telling people to "call him and we'll settle this"

Then there was reddit user tobiassurvived. Active participant on AHS reporting every post on a now banned sub (iirc it was r slash soyboys). Poor guy wasn't even 18, ginger, and likely bullied. Identified as non binary because of course he did. He posted his pic on reddit and r/soyboys picked it up. Of course he was made fun of. He deleted his account, made a new one, and like a retard, let everyone know that that's his new account which means the 'harassment' continued. Last I saw him was when someone linked to a 4chan /pol/ post where he posted a pic of his anus, and later his face. I don't know what good could come out of that. keep in mind this guy is like 14.

Granted this is a small sample size but i highly doubt that anyone who links to their other accounts on any website is mentally sound. They wouldn't bother if they had anything going on in real life

people are making counterintuitive designs for web pages, instead of keeping it simple. Beautiful websites can be made from nothing and they can be made very light. But then again, if it does not flex on others and shows how many gigabytes of javascript you have written, it is useless from the perspective of the site owner. I like websites that look friendly and despise those that are designed to make you feel small. I am talking about Facebook, Instagram et al. I am browsing on a 21 inch full HD monitor and all you give me is 3 huge bloated buttons that don't do much and every website function works in exactly the opposite way you expect it to, and the page itself has little content and very little information density.

Contrast this to websites like saidit, forums and imageboards. The design is simple and functional, the buttons and links are small and scattered but somehow you always find exactly what you were looking for and works in a way you expect. the actual content is plenty and you can skim through information worth a hundred Facebook pages in just 2 or 3 pages. This helps because half the content is bullshit which you don't care about anyway.

I've often caught myself thinking about this whole thing since the fruit farmers brought it to light.

Steven is a 6'2" mentally ill felon. He sadistically abused his ex wife. "Poking", IMO, is more sadistic because it does not have the primal instinct of hitting someone out of rage. It is literally taunting someone, looking at them whimper, seeing the fear in their eyes, and enjoying it all.

He obviously has the mind of a criminal, seeing as he tried to conceal his identity in front of a police officer.

Based on all of this I draw the conclusion that there are 2 possibilities:

1) he's too mentally ill, and because of his record and fuked up head no one wants to even look at him. Thirsty for attention he turns to reddit and reddit delivers. He gets hooked and also troons out because that's something reddit likes even more. He actually believes that he's fighting the good fight. Things get to him: the dox, people harassing him, people slandering him, accusing him of cp etc.

2) he's playing the LONG con. He actually might not believe any of the bullshit he posts and does online, or that he's a woman. It's just to troll people derive pleasure. His posts pinned to his profile are really weird. He loves the fact that he can do whatever he wants and anytime something remotely bad happens to him he can simply play the victim. Nothing anyone does makes any difference to him, he just laughs and posts his weird ass copypastas to make it seem like he gives a shit.

I mean look, how can you hit children, abuse your wife, illegally possess a weapon, and do a bunch of other shit we don't know about - how can you do all of that and claim to be morally superior to everyone and give a shit about hate speech? There's two answers: either you can't, or you're mentally ill. Too much so.

I used to think he was a mediocre human and a mentally ill janitor but now I wonder if he's actually a psychopath. Am I reading too much into it?

Of course there's a third possibility that he's actually being unofficially paid by reddit to make the website more advertiser friendly. Spez doesn't know shit about how to monetize the website.

Thanks for replying, node. What's going on is online classes. I am not a studious person, but it feels nice when I learn something new. In online classes I understand nothing. And I feel very guilty when I don't study for my subjects. I will pass just like everyone else because exams are online and conducted through google forms so it's very easy to cheat. But the guilt of not deserving it weighs down on my soul.

There's some solid advice there, I appreciate it. Going to start working out from today. (I remember when Corona began, I thought to myself 'hey I have lots of time now, I'm going to work out hard and walk out of my house completely ripped'. Funny how that turned out). I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs btw.

The problem I seem to have is that I constantly live in my head. Daydreaming, thinking, remembering, never living in the moment, unable to concentrate on anything. I wonder if there is some solution to this problem. Tried quitting computer/mobile, with little success.
