I have a similar black cat. This one looks pissed off about something. I can compare directly with mine as she has very expressive eyes! Cats are wonderful companions and I have her brother too, an American shorthair.

As someone who has experienced both psychologists and psychiatrists as a patient I can offer this insight: Present a problem - any problem - and a psychiatrist will reach for a prescription pad. You'll be categorized, cubby-holed and dropped into some neat definition listed in DSM5. A psychologist doesn't have this easy-out. No meds. They are more motivated to provide real help because they can't fall back on the 'simple solution'. Just my 2 cents. BTW: Main problem for me: depression.

I remember when 'Occupy Wall Street' was a thing there was a demonstrator with a banner facing off against the cops. The gist of it was that 'You're only two pay checks away from joining us'. Those who currently vilify the people who resist 'the narrative' are just being used as useful idiots. When they've accomplished the objectives of their masters, they don't seem to understand that they will be next. Ad infinitum.
