I think a short-term, intermittent reward system. So they would get food and one electric jolt hitting the pleasure centers of their brains when they start writing and more randomly during the writing session. Yes, Shakespeare is too long by far. We could say any work between a short story and novel would do as a winner. It could take centuries but we must know if it can be done.

Our next project would be: if a man speaks in the wilderness but there is no woman there to hear him— is he still wrong? Easy experimental design, for one.

To summarize this and other reading on the subject: the young Freud was a bundle of neuroses, phobias, and complexes, then he found cocaine and went entirely off the rails. He insisted that his followers believe him totally or be expelled from his circle. In short, he became a megalomaniac. Today most psychologists dismiss his theories, except those psychoanalysts who make a fortune by listening to their patients babbling on about their mothers for fifty minutes once a week.

It's important we keep a record of the cases...

I think the records are disappearing, in some cases at least. Today I went to the Wiki article on Agent Orange and searched for monsanto to confirm that Monsanto had indeed been the only manufacturer of AO. Was Dupont involved? I still don't know because there was no mention in the AO article about Monsanto, or any other manufacturer. Agent Orange would be on a list of the top five weaponized chemicals ever, right in there with Zyclon B. AO is probably worse than Zyclon B since people exposed to it may have damaged genes and not know it until they have an abnormal child. So you get two generations with one spray. But there is no mention of who made AO in the article. A duckduckgo search will turn up that information and I'll do it tomorrow. (Agent Orange was not a gas but a liquid converted to aerosol just before spraying. It was used in SE Asia from 1961 to 1971, exposing millions on both sides of that war.)

Good. I guess, it would make me even more obnoxious, according to the video. I'm not a mother or a father, so am not sure, but maybe the same folklore exists around the world. The cabbage is supposed to pull toxins from the babies, but do not eat the cabbage after using it this way, since it is full of bad stuff :) . Japanese mommies are well-informed and were just goofing on the folklore I think. They network like mad and now we have a clash between older women, who say stuff like, bundle the baby up and always put socks on him/her, and younger ones who are against those ideas. Glad you liked it.
