Well, a lot of it has to do with social media. What sells now is a perfect themed aesthetic, where your life consists of one theme and everything you show does not stray from your branding. Most women in these spaces are thin, white, and conventionally attractive (not all, but most). They live for the validation they get from others.

It's in the wording. There are always outliers and as long as generalizations aren't worded as "all people of group x are like y", it shouldn't be an issue.

There are a lot of us here who were/are "tomboys", it doesn't feel good to be erased by much of society that generalizes women and thinks we all like pink, frilly nurturing things and don't have an actual interest in STEM.

I have long time friends who are trans but they are old school "transsexuals" who know they're biologically males but feel more comfortable presenting as female. I am not super radical about gc ideology in that I would never call them by he/him pronouns or refer to them as men. As long as they're not fighting to be able to be in women's spaces I don't care what individuals choose to do with their bodies and lives.

Weird part is a lot of the long time TIMs I have known are the Miranda Yardley types...well, maybe not quite as "TERF"-y but they tend to believe they are transsexual males or at the very least are transmedical/truscum. We agree about the trans trenders being out of their minds. Then again they are older and have been TIMs for 10-20+ years already.
