Your stuff is actually worse now - how the cult of consumerism ushered in an era of badly made products by [deleted] in Internet

What I don't understand is that people act like this is some kind of revealed conspiracy; this is a completely clear fact obvious to anyone with at least 3 brain cells: in capitalism quality of everything deteriorates rapidly, it is firstly completely logical and secondly absolutely confirmed in practice, anywhere you look (tech, art, physical products, food, ...). Capitalism is by definition about maximizing profit on detriment of everything else, what's happening is exactly what's been promised, stop acting as if it's some kind of surprise.

are there any active left-leaning subs on here that are open to posts from anyone? by panel30 in AskSaidIt

I consider myself extreme leftist, however I oppose any kind of censorship, political correctness etc., I promote absolute love towards everyone, even hardcore fascists, murderers etc., I think everyone should be able to say anything. I am not rightist because I reject any violence, oppression, capitalism, nationalism, money, killing of animals and so on. I think I am basically the only true leftist on Earth, what's called "left" nowadays is just pseudoleft -- a kind of fascism that's petending to be "left". I have a whole wiki about this if you're interested: https://www.tastyfish.cz/lrs/main.html.

Xonotic, it's unironically the best multiplayer shooter with one of the best communities in existence, uncensored, non-toxic, pure oldschool fun. It's not popular because it's a non-commercial libre game that doesn't have any marketing, and it's better that way.

Valonia ventricosa is one of the largest known unicellular organisms, if not the largest. This means that what you see in the image, a sea-algae that can get to 5 cm in diameter, is actually a single living cell. by [deleted] in pics

Not sure pressure is the most important factor here even, it's more of the density of water that's closer to the body density and so supports better against gravity, which really is why things don't scale that much. I also think the size of cells isn't what's limiting us from being bigger -- we could be bigger, just like elephants or giraffes are, but that would mean we would have to eat more, we would be more fragile, less agile etc., it's simply evolution that determined the right size for us, not the cell size. Think your theories are bullshit, but perhaps I will watch the videos, these are always fun, I actually like them, it's interesting to entertain ideas even if they seem implausible. Also if you take this as an insult then fuck you, that's quite childish :)

LMAO I love this. I have nothing against homsexuality as such, but seeing something like this in today's politically correct dystopia is just awesome.

What is your favorite encyclopedia? by drummyfish in books

[–]drummyfish[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I just started thinking about a collaborative project for making one, with enough people it wouldn't be that hard to make a nice, uncensored, free public domain (CC0) one volume encyclopedia in plain HTML on some git hosting site, it could be both electronic and printed (could be easily converted to LaTeX and made into a physical book). If it was public domain and non commercial, it wouldn't have to bow to any publishers or reviewers and could stay truly uncensored and independent. Of course it wouldn't aim to compete with Wikipedia by its size, it should rather aim for a high quality oldschool style book. If anyone feels like stealing this idea, feel free :)

Thanks, this pretty nice, I share your sentiment and am very glad you let me know about your project. I added an article about reactionary software to my wiki. Though I found a few disagreements, I think we share a common view of the issues of tech/society and a diretion in which the solutions lies. I also posted on your forum :) Sorry for late reply, I don't visit this place regularly.
