Who else here is experiencing "insanity fatigue"? by JulienMayfair in LGBDropTheT

You’re definitely not alone. It’s good to take a step back from the internet from time to time because the insanity of the trans movement is so extreme online and they infiltrate every space they can. All the performance activism is so ridiculous, it’s like people try to out do one another in proving how “progressive” they are or how badly they can shame and bully anyone who doesn’t worship at the alter of gender identity.

I think it’s also good to remind ourselves that these lunatics and their pugnacious tactics are peaking people every day, and the more they behave like this, the more people will come to realize this garbage for what it is.

I will never for the life of me understand why society continues to cater to the whims of trans people and encourage all of their absurd navel-gazing. I’m sure people with body dysmorphic disorder or an eating disorder would feel triggered by full length mirrors or having to wear tight swimsuits in public or similar issues to the ones addressed in this article. Why are all of them supposed to just suffer through and toughen up? I’d suspect nearly every person on the planet feels uncomfortable to varying degrees in locker rooms, all for their own reasons – why aren’t their “needs” addressed? Why do so many people and groups coddle trans people beyond any and all reasonable measures? It seems like anything that makes any trans person even slightly uncomfortable is immediately made into a human rights issue. Why the fuck are the rest of us expected to grin and bear it, but not them?

Holy shit that was a lot of a words to essentially say nothing. She knows that she’s a heterosexual and bisexual men are her only “option” for dating, yet is still insistent on getting “advice” on how to get gay men to date her. I guess dating bisexuals just isn’t “gay enough” or validating enough for her. And of course, the rest of these gender idolizers flock to the comments to repeat their mantras about gay cis people being transphobic bullies and eternal affirmation of this girl’s delusions. I see more and more of these trans people who don’t make even the vaguest attempt to look like the opposite sex, yet they expect or demand that homosexuals find them attractive, have sex with them, and treat them as “one of them”. It’s like this obsessive fantasy of being a homosexual member of the opposite sex is so overpowering that it not only dominates their lives, but demands that the rest of society engages in the fantasy as well. It’s absurdly entitled and delusional.

I feel you, a lot. It feels like a lot of progress made by both LGB activists and feminists is being eroded away, not just from the usual suspects of conservatives and religious zealots, but by liberals who have lost all common sense in favor of “woke thought” and incessant, aggressive trans “activism”. It’s not surprising to see misogyny and homophobia, but this new concept of wrapping it up as “progressive thought” is especially insidious. It feels like this insanity is coming from every angle and it’s hard to escape. I know it’s a cliche, but it really feels so Orwellian, and Big Brother is now Big TransMother.

Communities like this and Gender Critical have kept me sane. The TQ+ nonsense can be so infuriating, so aggravating, so exhausting just to listen to, it really brings me back down to Earth to talk to other gay and bisexual people who feel the same way. Not only that, but it solidifies how I feel, and that I am not alone in those feelings. I know this sounds a little corny, but it feels like when I was a teenager and came out found the gay community, and how good it felt to be around “my people”. I only wish is to find or build a similar LGB community where I live so I could connect with locals who feel the same. I think there are many more of us than the TRA’s like to think, and unlike them, we’re secure and firm in our identities. This. Seriously. TRA’s love to use the “third genders” in a lot of non-white countries as justification for transgenderism in Western countries, which makes no sense at all, but they will co-opt the struggles of others if they think it helps fortify their own arguments. In reality, they have no real understanding of the cultures they use as props, and they have no real empathy for the issues of others.

I think the main reason they bring race into it is because they feel like it’s an iron clad defense against anyone questioning them, since they can just label dissenters as “racist”. It’s just further intellectual dishonesty and more logical fallacies.

This article was really interesting except for that giant turd in the middle of it. Why even bring that up? I’m no scientific expert, but I’m pretty sure people from 9,000 years ago didn’t sit around pontificating about their “gender identity”. Projecting this “woke thought” nonsense and rigid gender roles onto people in the past is not just intellectually dishonest, it’s absolutely absurd. This whole article was about male researchers making assumptions about the evidence they find based on their own biases regarding gender, and how new scientific testing has proved a lot of those assumptions wrong; and then you throw that stupid “gender identity” sentence in there to muddle the point? Biological sex is not a spectrum when it comes to humans. All of this is so exasperating. Not even science is safe from gender delusions.

This is exactly the attitude they should have, that any person should have, and when they don’t, it’s very telling. They have no problem purging anyone who has beliefs that don’t exactly line up with their rigid ideology, and they have no problem cancelling and silencing people who have the audacity to question them. But they can’t get rid of problematic people in their own community? Especially when those people are either supportive of or engaging in child grooming and child abuse? I don’t buy it.

I was in my early teens twenty years ago, but came out around that time and I helped start the first LGB group at my Florida high school. There was actually a pretty decent scene where I lived, and I used to love going to gay coffeehouses and then bars. It was hard but wonderful, and all of that activism and having a good support system really helped me feel secure and happy in my sexuality. And feminism was always a part of the LGB community too, especially with lesbians.

It feels like the community is completely different now. I think about going to Pride because we have a pretty substantial parade, but it makes me incredibly nervous to think about. It used to make me excited to get involved in the LGB community. Now it just puts my stomach in knots because I know it’s probably completely overrun with trans people and their handmaidens, and weird paraphiliac straight people who like to walk each other on dog leashes and shit. I really don’t have the energy to argue with people like that, but I know I can’t keep my big mouth shut either, so I think it’s better just not to go. I don’t know. I have a lot of conflicted feelings with the modern gay movement. I wish that the LGB Alliance was big here. I would go to and help out any event by them in a heartbeat.

You can't say you're fighting for the abolition of gender and be a non-binary ass-hat that prob have shitty straight sex

This is my issue with these people. By buying into the whole non-binary identity or transgender ideology, you’re merely buying into regressive gender roles. Even worse, you’re trying to insist that people who don’t fall into those rigid stereotypes are actually people of the opposite sex! How is this any different from conservatives or religious zealots? How is telling gender nonconforming women that they are actually non-binary anything but saying “you’re not actually a woman because you don’t behave or look like we think women should behave and look.” How does anyone but teenagers fall for that crap? It’s disgusting, regressive politics disguised as “woke” progressive thought.

Liking vaginas or dicks, or both isnt a fetish or a preference, you disgusting indivuals

Again, a bunch of regressive politics dressed up as progressive thought. We didn’t fight for years for people to see our sexuality as innate and fixed for a bunch of degenerates to come along and tell us we were bigots for our same-sex attraction. Bullying people into questioning their sexuality is NOT woke activism, it’s homophobia. Don’t get even me started on how medical trans-ing is essentially conversation therapy.

theres clowns everywhere and i can't say shit on my social medias whitout being demolished so I'll just vent here

It’s ridiculous that we can’t talk openly about this without being swarmed and doxxed by trans people and their handmaidens. I’m glad for places like this, Ovarit, /r/GenderCritical (even though it’s gone), radical feminists on Tumblr, etc. Each time we talk about this, share our thoughts, and challenge the status quo, more people are exposed to gender critical thought and the LGBAlliance, and more like-minded people find a space they can talk freely. This aggressive approach by the trans community will backfire in the long-run. Things like the #SuperStraight movement proves it. For every person that gets harassed, attacked, silenced, and cancelled, you get dozens of people who are “peaked”. Hang in there <3 I know it’s hard.

Exactly. This isn’t about basic equalities; I would bet that a vast majority of people who are gender critical were initially supportive of the trans movement, and still support them having the same basic rights we all have. It’s about them infiltrating and dominating spaces for others, demanding everyone cater to their delusions, silencing anyone who is even remotely critical, and bullying lesbians and gay men. It’s so ridiculous and disingenuous the way they portray the gender critical side of the argument. I think it’s because a lot of them know that if you gave an honest portrayal of gender critical arguments, most reasonable people would agree. So they turn into a morality war where anyone who is critical must be a bigot, and therefore it is just and right to banish that person and censor their words. Very frustrating.

I agree completely. Postmodernism just plagues some academic thinking. People get too immersed in theory and ideas, and they lose touch with material reality. Then you end up with people using circular logic to define words (“I feel like a woman, so I am a woman!”) because they reject definitions grounded in objective observations. Biology isn’t 100%, with regard to intersex conditions and related phenomena, so that justifies them rejecting it for this nebulous lunacy about gender identity. These people refuse to agree with you about objective facts and seek to alter how other people use language and muddle the meaning of words which used to have clear definitions to most people. It’s almost impossible to argue with them because you have no starting point with them; it’s agree with everything or you’re a bigot. It’s so absurd.

Performative activism. Just like everything with trans activism, it all goes back to narcissism. These people are just as bad as the nuts on my block with the Trump flag flying over multiple clustered signs, one of Calvin (from the Calvin & Hobbs comic) urinating on Pelosi’s name in all caps and one of QAnon. This is a terrible idea, and it’s a clear example of woke ideology and trans activism completely overriding common sense. Since when is a trans person’s endless need for validation more important than the right of girls and women to feel safe?

Lastly, women’s rights are often overlooked by opponents to racial, gender, and sexual equality unless they can weaponize them against marginalized groups. Their silence with regard to gendered issues such as reproductive rights, sexual violence, and workplace equality does not go unnoticed.

I fucking guffawed out loud at this line. What an absolute LOAD coming from these people! They LOVE to appropriate the causes of others and NEVER miss an opportunity to detail conversations about others by making it all about them. These are delusional narcissists who feel entitled to the definition of woman and all of our spaces and to dominate our voices, but oh no, selfish hateful “cis” women are the real problem! Almost everything you just listed sounds like your personal issues with masculinity and not like any kind of objective facts. Men having emotional issues and their obsession with aggression and physical violence really isn’t equal to centuries of being treated like second class citizens, sexual violence in war and times of peace, laws controlling and policing behavior and rights, forcible pregnancies, female genitalia mutilation, sex trafficking, witch burnings, etc., I could do on and on and on...

A couple of years ago a mother “violently misgendered” me in order to not let her daughter think for one second that lesbians exist and by now she would be hailed as progressive. A sort of long rant from a butch lesbian. by [deleted] in LGBDropTheT

[–]dreamgerms 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I just feel like the “last butch standing” at times, particularly when it comes to my age group and it’s so isolating. And there’s no support anywhere. I sometimes even think about becoming a member of that LGBT group again, so that I could at least be an example of a lesbian who grew confidence in her masculinity to the younger lesbians - something I never had.

This breaks my fucking heart, man. I’m sorry you had to experience that absolute twit of a mother, and all this garbage from the trans community. I think they way they have attacked and eroded the lesbian community is the absolute worst. I find it infuriating beyond words when I hear people who a supposedly our allies and part of our community telling lesbians to “examine their preferences” and to accept dick. It’s nothing but repackaged homophobia full of straight male aggression. Lesbians deserve their own safe, exclusive spaces.

This idea that girls and women who fail to conform to rigid gender roles are men is so fucking regressive and it shocks me that any intelligent person can’t see that nonsense for what it is. I was a “tomboy” growing up and I get angry when I think about how trans activists and “woke” parents would have tried to convince me I was a boy. Same goes for the non-binary label. What ever happened to celebrating butch lesbians and women who rejected these misogynistic standards of beauty and behavior? When these women are labeled as “non-women” or men, our community of women becomes less and less diverse. Women are not defined by how we conform to femininity. Playing with dolls, wearing pink, having long hair, being submissive and quiet, NONE of that makes you a woman. Our biology does.

I worry so much for the younger generation of LGB youth. I’m SO glad there are women like you who are out there, proud of who you are, and showing young lesbians that there is nothing wrong with being butch or being gay! Butch lesbians will save us.

See, my impression has always been that they think bisexual people are inherently bigoted because we are “only attracted to biological men and women”, and that pansexuality was the “new and improved” version of bisexuality that was woke enough for the masses. Trans activists hate this the most. I see them bitch and moan about “cis gays” so much, it’s really repulsive. They think gay is an “identity” just like trans is, instead of it just being, y’know, same-sex attraction. Those “normal gays” are a thousand times more authentic then they will ever be.

[–]dreamgerms 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There is no “genocide of trans people”.

Let’s crunch the numbers. Taking the HRC’s highest recent estimate of trans fatalities (29) as representative, and assuming the transgender population to be 0.6 per cent of the U.S. population—although some trans activists argue the true figure is as high as 3 per cent, which would make the murder rate even lower—the total number of murders in a hypothetical all-trans USA would be roughly 4,800 per year (4,833). In other words, if you multiply the population of the US (327,167,434) by 0.6 per cent you get a current transgender population estimate of 1,963,004.6, and if you divide that figure by 29 (the number of murders) you get 67,690—one murder per 67,690 trans citizens. That works out as a projected annual total of 4,833 murders (327,167,434/67,690) in an all-trans America, with an annual murder rate of 1.48 per 100,000 Americans. That’s about one-fourth of the actual current murder rate: there were 16,214 recorded homicides in the United States in 2018 (five per 100,000) and 17,294 in 2017. While LGBT advocates may be correct that there is some under-reporting of the transgender murder rate because not all trans individuals are “out,” the fact is that the murder rate for trans people would have to increase by 300-400 per cent to match the murder rate for the general population.

The absence of a homicide “epidemic” for transgender people becomes even more apparent when we compare trans murder totals not merely to the population overall, but to specific high-mortality groups within it. The most vulnerable of these is my own group, African Americans. According to the FBI, of the 14,123 murders in 2018 in which the original police agency to investigate provided demographic information about the victim, 6,088 involved a white victim and 7,407 involved a black victim. Given that blacks make up only 12-13 per cent of the American population, we can see that the black murder rate—which I calculate at one murder per 5,298 persons, or 18.88 per 100,000—is roughly six times the Caucasian rate and almost 13 times the allegedly “epidemic” transgender murder rate.

There's no "claim" about it. You either are attracted to women (and not men) or you aren't. Being lesbian only "plays an important role in the struggle for equality" because people keep treating us unequally for two things we didn't choose (being female, being homosexual).

You hit the nail on the head, my friend. This desire to alter the meaning of homosexuality and bisexuality is disgusting ‘woke’ homophobia and no one will change my mind about that. They seek to dilute the meaning of same-sex attraction the same way they seek to dilute the meaning of “woman”. If we don’t have the words to describe and identify our oppression, then how can we resist and fight for change? If anyone can “identify” as a lesbian or woman, then you can “identify out”, and your complaints of being oppressed are meaningless. I feel like a lot of these people have overdosed on postmodernism and academic theory to the point that they are completely detached from material reality. Being gay or bisexual isn’t an identity you claim. It it simply is. Trans ideology has completely infected LGB/feminist discussions and are rotting mass of intellectual dishonesty and coercion.

More nonsense where words mean nothing. ‘Asexual’ is not an identity, you are not oppressed, there is no spectrum. 99% of the time I see anything about asexuals it’s just kids who are too young to experience sexual attraction, “late bloomers”, or teenagers who aren’t hyper sexual and think that makes them “different” (hint: it doesn’t). If you have sex or feel sexual attraction, you are not “asexual”. This obsession with identity and labels is asinine.

[–]dreamgerms 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Although there has been minimal investigation of psychological interventions for gender dysphoria, there has equally been minimal long-term follow-up of the effectiveness of surgical interventions and to claim it is a cure or the only possible treatment for gender dysphoria should not be stated with this level of certainty.

I think this is one of the most serious problems with all this trans medical intervention. Not only is there minimal critical information about non medical intervention, but little unbiased investigation to whether medical intervention works in the first place, especially with children and teenagers. Especially if you want to demand this right to do this to them. It seems like any kind of meaningful, critical attempts to look into this are actively suppressed and ignored by the scientific and academic communities, which is even more unsettling. You have to have fact-based evidence to justify such radical, elective surgeries and medications for adults, let alone children.

I also think the stories of detransitions are incredibly important and they absolutely deserve just as much coverage as trans people do. The fact that there is an aggressive attempt to silence and discredit detransitions is all the more reason their stories should be shared.

Especially when those surgeries or medications, like you said, haven’t even been proven to alleviate mental anguish, and come with life-long consequences. I think most reasonable people would see through the false accusations of “transphobia” and see it for what it is.

This is my fear. There is an eroding away of trust in science, in objective truths, and in the meaning of words. “Biology is bigotry” is stating that my feelings, something subjective and nebulous and frequently incoherent, are what define a word like “woman”, instead of observable facts which we have agreed on for hundreds of years. Not to sound like a weirdo :) It just makes me so mad to know other gay and bisexual people haven’t gotten the support and love and acceptance that they all deserve. Being gay is totally normal. Simple as that. It is not some nebulous abstraction, something that you “feel” or “identify as”; it is a material reality of our existence. There is no incoherent ideology or corruption of our souls or defect in our being. Homosexuality is same-sex attraction and is observable through our history in both humans and other animals. You (and every other gay and bisexual person) should never have to feel bad for being gay or bi. You deserve to be loved and supported, you deserve your safe spaces, you deserve to live and love how you choose, and you deserve to feel safe and comfortable to be who you are. We all do! Don’t let anyone let you think otherwise. It’s sad that people are afraid to speak up and speak their minds, and that they can’t express their concerns and opinions and criticisms without being threatened and demeaned and bullied and silenced. Especially when these are the same straight people who used to hurl that word at me and my gay friends at every chance they got, who enunciated each letter with the kind of aggressive toxicity that makes you naturally freeze up with fear, who would spit that word into the air while they threw bottles at us, beat us, groped us, threatened us for simply existing. I will never accept that shit, and I think it’s a tragedy that straight people ever get to say that word, regardless of intent.

The other problem I have is that “queer” doesn’t mean what it used to. It used to only refer to gay and lesbian people; when you said “queer”, you know what it meant. Now it’s just nonsense. It means anything and everything, supposedly, and applies to people who aren’t gay, and to a host of sexualities invented by bored people on the internet who want to feel special. I don’t think LGB studies/theory should be called “Queer Theory” or whatever, either. Some women have reclaimed the word “bitch”, but we don’t call women’s studies “Bitch Studies”.

Religious homophobia and transgender homophobia: Parallels by reluctant_commenter in LGBDropTheT

It’s all just repackaged misogyny and homophobia. The way they love to throw around words like f*g proves it, the way they rage against “cis gays” proves it, the way they constantly bully homosexuals to change their “preferences” proves it; and transitioning is frequently being used as conversion therapy on top of all that. What you’re describing is exactly what really makes me worry for young LGB people. Not only do they have to deal with homophobia from the right, but homophobia from the left and from people who are supposedly in their own communities! I can’t imagine the pressure and isolation that breeds. I think about how hard generations of gay and bisexual men and women have worked, and how all of that work is being assaulted, constantly, from all directions. It’s maddening. Young lesbians have it especially hard, with the disgusting amounts of misogyny that the TQ+ espouses. They are just as regressive as the conservative and religious zealots that they claim to hate. So much of trans ideology seems like a cult to me as well. Their tactics, their grooming, their rejection of science and reality, etc.

I just wanted to tell you too that I’m very sorry you have faced so much hate, and haven’t had the love and support you deserve. I really hope you can come to a point where you feel accepted not just from those around and from society, but within yourself as well. Sometimes it can be a long road to reach that point, especially the way society is now, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. I’m sending love your way. Thanks for sharing this rant!

This is such insanity. I thought the science denial in this country was bad enough with Flat Earthers and climate change denial, but this shit is ridiculous. Biological sex is NOT a spectrum, and these people pushing this nonsense are pathetic for abandoning their common sense for this new woke trans ideology.

LGB Alliance is doing an interview with Vaishnavi Sundar, the director of "Dysphoric", a LGB-supportive documentary about the transgender movement by reluctant_commenter in LGBDropTheT

I watched this documentary a few weeks ago and thought it was very illuminating, especially the stories of detransitioners. It’s despicable how the trans community tries to shut their stories down and demean them. If anything, their stories should be shared more in MSM.

I read it in this article. They only refer to him as Peter ‘Katrina’ Swales, and share some of his usernames on other social media, but don’t list his Reddit name. There is a list of the subs he is a moderator of, though.

The power these trans people wield on Reddit is absolutely disgusting. I always knew Reddit hated women; all the banning, deleting, brigading just proves they don’t just hate women, they hate anyone who doesn’t conform to the trans ideology and bow before them. It’s noxious.

Yes, forgive me, after reading the articles by Graham calling that man a “she”, my tired brain just went with it. Clown world is getting to me.

Someone in another post commented that Graham is required to use their “preferred pronouns” because he’s in England, so I think that’s the only reason he does so.

Does Reddit stand by its decision to remove feminist and lesbian subreddits like R/GenderCritical, which contained some 65,000 members, at the request of someone who, at the very least, has covered up for a paedophile? by dreamgerms in GenderCritical

12 Mainstream Movies You Forgot Were Transphobic by Chipit in NotTheOnion

“Forgot” give me a break. How is ‘The Crying Game’ transphobic? At all? And the Buffalo Bill and Norman Bates characters are based on actual serial killers, such as Jerry Brudos, who murdered women and dressed in their clothing, and Ed Gein, who skinned women’s corpses and made them into skin suits and masks. But I guess it’s “transphobic” to acknowledge or reference history, just like it’s “transphobic” to acknowledge biology.

Don’t forget her husband also writes pedophilic stories and makes pedophilic furry art, and she’s defended and lied for him as well. Both of them are also involved with ANOTHER transwoman who is into diaper fetish/furry porn who also moderates dozens of communities on Reddit, including several for and about children. These people are given extreme power by Reddit to shut down and eliminate any and all dissenting groups they dislike. These degenerates need to be exposed and Reddit should be forced to address this!

The fact that this person, whose father is a violent pedophile and whose husband writes pedophilic stories and creates pedophilic art, is responsible for shutting down any and all gender critical/trans critical subreddits and has been rewarded with a job by Reddit, NEEDS to be shared more. I wish there was a petition we could start or “open letter” we could share to spread this information and expose this person!

Oh yes, WE are the ones obsessed with genitals, and not the 18 year old who wants to surgically remove her entire healthy vagina. /s

I find this shit incredibly disturbing, and any doctor who is willing to perform this operation deserves to have their medical license revoked. The ignorance is astounding, too; your vagina isn’t just a hole to have sex with. These surgeries can be dangerous, and cause long term health complications. Not to mention the incredible risk involved with having an elective surgery in the first place! The fact that a teenager can go and have healthy organs removed from her body sounds like ENCOURAGING mental illness, not alleviating it! We don’t give liposuction to people with eating disorders, we don’t hand over razors to people who self-injure, we don’t allow euthanasia for suicidal people, etc. Why is this different? Why are we okay with, and celebrating, young, physically healthy people to permanently mutilate their bodies and damn them to a lifetime of medications and health problems?
