You are definitely on to something because I have had the same experience. The first MTF I met and befriended was a narcissistic hypersexual that bragged about his sexual prowess, was in an "open relationship", and had an overal very arrogant streak. I almost lost my virginity to him, because I was desperate to lose it at the time, but we had agreed over text he would be using a condom. Once he started going for PIV with me, I stopped him because he wasn't putting on a condom. Then proceeded to complain, saying "Ugh, I hate condoms" I knew, despite numerous sexual partners, this person had also never been tested and angrily refused to when I had previously suggest he does - Considering he had also talked about how promiscious his girlfriend is.. Needless to say I did not let him go any further and GTFO'd there. He decided to conduct a smear-campaign on me and get me kicked out of my school's LGBT club as a result, shortly after that. It sent me into such a deep depressive episode that I tried to commit suicide.

A few years after that I met a MTF that I thought would be different, but this person soon started coming off just as narcissistic and hypersexual. They constantly flaunt their sex life - insisted on talking about it unsolicitedly even in very public places, and I have noticed several very objectifying and grooming comments towards people. They acted very creepy when hanging out with me, always falling in sudden uncomfortable silences and staring at me. Ironically enough this person was kicked out of my school's LGBT club as well, but for being accused of being a creep. They spun it as victimization in their favor of course, and I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt since I had gotten kicked from that same club myself previously, but they were literally the president of it at that time. And considering the creepy behavior I personally witnessed from them, something actually wrong must have been going on.

I have never befriended a normal MTF not like this so I simply cannot believe they are not all like until I personally closely acquaint with one myself. But I'd rather not because my safety is my priority. Even the one I thought seemed normal turned out to be a massive degenerate. Alot of them are becoming increasingly better at convincing other cis women and men that they are "real women" and before you know it they will have been sexually groomed and assaulted as a result.
