I think voat serves its purpose and very much needs to exist. It's used primarily by people from banned subreddits spanning from 2015-2018 (notably FatPeopleHate, Coontown, Physical_Removal, altright, European, etc). Without this sort of containment website, they'll spill into websites with an emphasis on freedom of expression (such as this one), then every comment and post will just be people mindlessly fedposting. Unfortunately, you're right. I'm American too, and there are only two parties, both of which fall into the kosher sandwich. There are zero nationalist parties in the entire country. Even though Carlson is criticizing Trump for doing nothing, he'd be the same way as president out of fear for his life.
