Yes, trans issues are a giant energy suck. Energy suck has always been one of the main ways by which men prevent women from making progress out of our oppressed, secondary state. If they succeed in getting us to expend energy on trans issues then they have won, even if we're totally not buying the trans ideology.

"Transgender" people set themselves up for failure in dating by "identifying as" the sex that they're not rather than the sex that they are. People who want women want women, not a man who "identifies as" a woman, and people who want men want men, not a woman who "identifies as" a man. By setting their sights on dating those who are NOT attracted to the sex which they are, they set up their own failures.

And why do men always feel so comfortable defining womanhood?

Their most revered religious tracts, the Old Testament of the Christians / the Torah of the Jews, dating from far earlier than the birth of Christ, defined women as the second created, who were created solely as companions and helpmates ("meets") for men. And to this day, as we have seen, men are trying to confine us to that role, as being solely for them and not for ourselves. This is true not only of conservative "religious" men, but of the most "progressive", left wing, atheists, "feminists", "trans women", the whole mess of men. This shows the human male sex is completely irredeemable, and we'd really be better off without them.

I actually found her pov rather refreshing. It is sobering that some women would find it "offensive" and actually feel strongly enough about it to write a post condemning it. I've read a lot of second wave literature about male violence against women, so I'm not exactly ignorant of the subject and I do take precautions. I think the depressing thing about how women's vulnerability is usually discussed here is that it is described in extensive detail and the conclusion is basically that we can do NOTHING about it. So it really just engenders female helplessness.

I'm 67, so I guess I qualify as an elder. It was dangerous to be out, and I was naturally very shy, also insecure, so I was in the closet except for a few selected people I knew. When I was young the second wave of the women's liberation movement was in full swing, which is what gave me the courage to live as a lesbian at all. Since my generation was feminist and my parents' was not, I did (wrongly) assume they were outdated and lacking any real understanding of the world, but now I see that belief as illogical. I mean, ask a 20 year old if she thinks she knows more now than she will in 20 years. Anyways, my involvement with the lesbian community was limited, but I did have some.

The answer is nothing. Nothing is in it for women. It can only be understood as a type of lobotomy women have undergone by the programming of women's minds via all the outlets of male propaganda in the society. Their media, their schools, their religions, their professions, psychology, psychiatry, philosophy, everything. Our minds are literally programmed in this society by the ruling class of men the same way they program computers. That's all it is.

It's the older women I don't get, especially women in the 55-80 who are trans maidens.

Women, including older women (that would be my age group; I'm 67), have also been groomed via "upbringing" from their earliest days to fight men's battles for them for as long as I can remember, maybe more. One would hope that they would finally be able to think their way out of that bag and become wiser, more mature and good women, but apparently not all women can, will (or even want to?) do so. This means that the nurturing, mentoring and upbringing of girls from our earliest years is really important.

Girls who played with the Barbie doll had fewer goals than the girls who instead played with Mr. Potato Head, who has no sex appeal.

Hmm, what about girls who played with both? That would be me! LOL!

The idea that women want to be humiliated and hurt in sex

I don't know about you, but when I am hurt and humiliated all I want is to do the same back, so if men don't want to be hurt and humiliated they'd better not do it to me.

UK Crown Prostitution Service

Typo or clever pun?

it doesn't prosecute people for doing "sex work" - it concentrates on going after the johns, pimps, traffickers, criminal gangs that control, exploit, beat up, terrorize and otherwise do harm to prostitutes.

Good - that's more or less in line with the nordic model.

Women don't need PIV to get pregnant. Pregnancy can result when just a little sperm is deposited on the surface of the vulva, without the P ever going into the V.

I look at it differently. I don't think men are doing what evolution "arranged" for them to do. I think men just veered off into freakhood, become addicted to it, and that's why the world's such a mess and men are so miserable.

[–]chrysthefeminist 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I agree with you. I am not convinced by the dismissing of girls like you who played sports and were equal to boys who played sports as "outliers" and "exceptions." Boys are given a lot more encouragement and often instruction and access to equipment than girls are and just about everything needed to develop strength and athletic ability. It's like living in a society where only boys are educated and then saying the fact that they can read and do math better than girls is due to superior intellect on their part. We don't fall for that one anymore, though once it was commonly believed. I think that's the stage we are still at in beliefs about girls' physical abilities and falling for it is doing a number on our heads. Yes, I think males do have an advantage and are stronger on average after puberty, but even that is not set in stone for all time, though that is an entirely different story.

There is a certain alliance that straight women hold for the male population that they do not extend to their own sex.

Those fuckers. Sorry, but female responsibility to our own kind is the highest and most sacred. As to the male sex - we owe them nothing. That they act the opposite is why the world is such a shitpile.

XO is just as female as someone who is XX, coz of the absence of a Y.

Except if the X has a transposed SRY on it. I agree with you, don't want to nitpick, just going by what you said about the SRY, not the Y per se, being determinative. Yes, the SRY gene is normally and mostly found on the Y chromosome, except in the case of rare transpositions to the X.

And she just shrugged and said well she grew up with two brothers, so it wasn't a big deal to her. Women who are really comfortable living with men and sharing toilets with them don't seem to care.

That's pretty dumb. Doesn't she realize public unisex bathrooms are NOT like the bathrooms at home, which are usually single occupancy anyway? And that she won't just be sharing these bathrooms with her brothers but with the entire male general public of strangers, with all its' rapists, voyeurs, sex killers, etc etc etc?

So far I've done this for the ACLU and for PP. It's only a matter of time before the DNC sends me another letter begging for money. They'll get a note too

That's a great idea.

I don't see any "personal attack" in what I said. I noted that you were saying the same thing about Hillary as was generally used as a (sexist) criticism against female candidates, but not male - that they are power seeking. Maybe I shouldn't have said "reeking" of sexist bias, but I still see your comment as very similar, maybe identical to, the usual takedowns of women. It's funny that you're so hot under the collar over it, like I'm trying to take away your right to make "your decisions" and hate Hillary if you want to. I couldn't care less. But you sure didn't convince me that your criticism of Hillary was any less sexist than I originally thought it might be.
