I was born poor white trash and my mom is a stereotypical obese welfare queen. My dream growing up was to have a home that I wouldn't be embarrassed to death to bring a friend over to visit. I would have loved to have just a small bit of that "white privilege" in my life.

The man is the leader of the household. Colossians 3: 18-25 outline the various roles in within household. So we mold ourselves to our husbands, we confirm to their needs and support their opinions and endeavors before indulging any of our own.

Can you give an example of something a husband may command of his wife that his wife would rightly refuse? And I mean the most bland, most-likely-to-happen of examples rather than extremes (like 'poison our child').

The 1st example that came to my mind actually was a husband demanding his wife have an abortion. In society abortion is legal but it certainly is against God's will.

A more down to earth example is a husband expecting a wife to lie for him. My husband did a rolling stop at a stop sign and got pulled over. I was content to sit quietly and not say anything but he debated with the police officer and told him to ask me. So, I told the truth and my husband got a ticket.

Ownership colludes

The role of a good capitalist government is to intensify and maximize competition in the market place. If collusion is permitted then government is either failing in its duty or it's been compromised. That said, I'm still in favor of striking down all forms of Marxism and that includes unions.

However I agree with you 110% on McCarthy. But I think if I was in charge that I would probably go a lot further than you would.

I'm not very eloquent with my words and I seldom can explain anything very well. However, I think the article I linked to said it best.

" Spanking no more infantilizes a woman than a speeding ticket from a police officer infantilizes a man. Adults can and do discipline other adults all the time.

But some will answer my police officer giving a ticket analogy with “a speeding ticket is a piece of paper and the officer is not bending you over his knee and spanking you”. The reason for this kind of answer is because in our modern culture we look on any type of physical punishment with disdain. We think physical punishment, especially toward adults is “uncivilized”.
