Atheists earn more, go to prison less and are more likely to do charity work.

A lot of us are stay at home moms, do unpaid missionary work or work in a church or for some other religious organizations
The majority of those "studies" only count secular charities and exclude our donations to churches and other religious groups
As for prison, more people walk in non-believers and walk out believing in God. (Are they good or bad Christians is another topic)

To feel God's presence all ll I have to do is look at those atheist nations where He's not allowed to be. Nations like China, North Korea and Soviet era Russia. I'm also witnessing the insane decay and ultimate collapse of our once great nation, the United States, because more and more people chose to put their faith in secularism than in God.

So you can put your faith in whatever you want and I'll put my faith in God. We can argue about which of is right or wrong when we're both on the other side.

I don't see where the role of government is ever to intensify anything. Sounds kind of commie to me ;-)

Government intensifies competition by ensuring there are no monopolies, no collusion, etc. Also because there are some areas that government MUST get involved in (eg. Military) it should outsource whatever elements that can be outsourced of its undertaking to private sector. In dealings for these contracts it must be fair, offering no extraordinary benefits in exchange for work, and it must be free from any influence in awarding them.

Ownership colludes

The role of a good capitalist government is to intensify and maximize competition in the market place. If collusion is permitted then government is either failing in its duty or it's been compromised. That said, I'm still in favor of striking down all forms of Marxism and that includes unions.

However I agree with you 110% on McCarthy. But I think if I was in charge that I would probably go a lot further than you would.

Unfortunately people and organizations often call (market) themselves as being the opposite of what they actually are. Needless to say, I've come to understand the reasons and the need for McCarthyism, cold war propaganda and even The Heritage Foundation. The problem is we often see things with modern secular eyes instead of biblical eyes. Yes, having your husband spank you is controversial because it's not specifically mentioned in the bible. However, we're supposed to submit to him and discipline is something that the bible makes very clear that all of us need. So when I do something wrong I don't have a problem submitting to his authority and it's honestly a lot easier just to take the spanking. We get off easy on this one but husbands are obligated to punish themselves and self-punishment can go on for days, weeks or even years.

The only thing I will say is that I'm careful to not be imposing our Christian marital standards on others. So it's equally wise that people that disagree with those standards not try to impose their precepts on people like my husband and I.
