How did the NFL get away with Race Science for 30 years? by radicalcentrist in debatealtright

[–]aukofthecovenant 14 insightful - 4 fun14 insightful - 3 fun15 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

Originally, the NFL race-normed their Wonderlic test because if they didn't, they would have had to classify a huge chunk of black players as mentally impaired. So race-norming was good for blacks because it kept them from being labeled mentally impaired. But these days, there is money to be had if players can show cognitive decline, so now race-norming is bad for blacks because it keeps them from being labeled mentally impaired.

It's not about the tests, or the players' IQs, or race average IQs. It's about what's good for blacks.

Your idea of genocide is too Hollywood. The U.N. uses a considerably broader and more mature definition:

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

Killing members of the group;

Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Which arguably doesn't go far enough, since lack of proven intent would not make the targeted group any less extinct.

You're hung up on this notion of purity when you should be asking about distinguishability. American blacks tend to have about 25% European ancestry on average, but I imagine you have no trouble telling them apart from regular American whites. Look at the overlapping bell curves in this picture and ask yourself:

  1. Are they completely separate, i.e. "pure"?
  2. Can you tell them apart?

It's always funny to me how mainstream media outlets like the BBC here sometimes will walk right up to the line of questioning a pillar of modernity, but not actually do it, and then act surprised when other people (e.g. us) go just one millimeter further. Case in point:

Largely, it's because in South Korea, women struggle to achieve a balance between work and other life demands.

I guess they knew how to win this struggle in the past, but then just forgot for some reason? Credit to the BBC, though, for naming the issue and not immediately leaping to man-blaming.

But faced with conditions that are not family friendly in South Korea, she is reconsidering her plans to have children.

Well, how did these conditions come about? The article never says...

She recently accepted a new job and had felt anxious about taking time off for maternity leave.

The first question must be "why is this woman working a job at all?"

She is also unconvinced by the incentives being offered by the government. "It's expensive to raise a child. The government providing an extra couple hundred thousand won won't solve our problems."

Not to mention that that money will have to come from somewhere. It's funny, though not surprising, that governments would rather mess around with money than actually take a hard look at root causes.

You're missing the point, so I'll help you out. As it says: "If the victim was black and the attacker a white man, especially if he was a member of a right-wing organization, the tragedy would've wound up as front page news". Do you deny this claim?

Consider that, in 2020, 900,000 New Yorkers lost their jobs, and 436,000 are still out of work.

You are clearly insinuating that a bunch of formerly law-abiding people are now out murdering because they are suddenly out of work. That would be strange, since murdering requires effort whereas the jobless could just sit around and do nothing, incurring no risk of death or imprisonment. And before you go off on "Well they're killing people to get money to buy food!", note that in this incident that is clearly not the case because:

What's your opinion on social conservatism? by [deleted] in debatealtright

[–]aukofthecovenant 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The essence of social liberalism is the motto "Don't judge". I, however, want civilization to advance and for the next generation to be of higher quality than the present one, and will make whatever judgments I see fit to make that happen. So I am not a social liberal. I don't like calling myself a social conservative because of its connotation of "bible thumper". When I agree with those types it is for different, non-religious reasons.

There are policies which present-day social liberals support which I do like, mostly relating to healthcare. However, those people are too economically illiterate and/or blinded by emotion to implement them in any sustainable way. The good parts of social liberalism are too important to be left to social liberals.

McCloskeys charged with felonies for waving guns during protests by Richard_Parker in debatealtright

[–]aukofthecovenant 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The odd thing about this incident is that it went about as well as could be expected under the circumstances, yet the McCloskeys are still likely to be railroaded due to the media uproar. If protesters were coming into my neighborhood, my ideal outcome would be one where:

  • No shots are fired

  • No one gets hurt

  • No one dies

  • No property is damaged or stolen.

And what happened?

  • No shots were fired.

  • No one was hurt.

  • No one died.

  • No property was damaged or stolen.

Maybe it would have still played out that way without the guns, but we'll never know. If the protesters actually were inclined to vandalism or violence, it would seem that the much-maligned waving of guns worked - it prevented vandalism and violence. But we won't learn the protesters' intentions because they are not the ones on trial, and the media would sugar-coat them with everything it had anyway.

For all the bellyaching from the left over state-controlled media, you have to wonder if they ever worry about a media-controlled state.

If alt right can blame black crime ultimately on the Js, then why can’t the media blame black on Asian crimes ultimately on white supremacy. by curious2 in debatealtright

[–]aukofthecovenant 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

You are confused because you missed a crucial distinction. The blame for black crime must ultimately lie with blacks. The blame for white people's attitudes about black crime lies with whoever influences those attitudes, i.e. the media (in very large part, though not completely). If some black youths kill a white man over $1 and are sentenced to probation and an anger management class, it's local news. Most Americans won't hear about it let alone get angry about it. Reverse the races and it's a national outrage.

Think of it like this. If you never left home, so that your only knowledge of the outside world came through your TV, and I as a media exec decide what is shown on TV, I can arrange it so that no news of black crime ever reaches you. I can also show you only reports of gruesome crimes committed by whites. You would then waddle away with the impression that blacks are the most pacifistic creatures ever to walk the earth while whites are just irredeemably venal. Who deserves blame for what in this scenario?

[–]aukofthecovenant 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

John Derbyshire explains here the invalid reasoning in the Tim Wise link. Derbyshire's whole article is worth reading, but the takeaway is that the 2.8 in "any given black person in the United States is about 2.8 times more likely to be killed by a white person than any given white person is to be murdered by a black person" is meaningless because it needs to be compared to the number that would be expected if blacks and whites were equally homicidal. Derbyshire works out that number to be about 4.7. Since the 2.8 < 4.7, the implication is that blacks are more homicidal than whites. Tim Wise conveniently skips the comparison.

Back when I was still a liberal, I came across this story about two (white) men who shot each other dead with their legally-owned concealed handguns over a minor traffic incident. Being the Daily Kos, it naturally ended with "if it weren't for guns they'd still be alive, hurr durr" but it's obvious that the real problem is that the guy who shot first could not control his impulses. I am for impulsive-moron control.

don't make women feel there's no chance for redemption

Of course there's a chance for redemption - there always is. All women of this sort can, if they want, reject degeneracy in favor of our cause. One way to do that would be to prevent other women from making the same self-degrading decisions they did. Another way would be to vote for what needs to be voted for. I'm sure there are more.

Don't be surprised when women vote for a Nation's demise when they feel they can't atone for past shitty behavior.

This is a non sequitur and, coupled with use of the word "feel" in the preceding sentence, really underscores the cattiness that sometimes makes it easy for men to dislike women. Our cause is correct, moral, and necessary regardless of anyone's past behavior and regardless of what anyone feels. No one should lose sight of that.

DR + Feminism by Dragonerne in debatealtright

I'll be the one to state the obvious.

Because our movement is well outside the mainstream, the type of person most easily recruited is the outsider. Incel gamerbros are high on that list. So it's no surprise that we have lots of manosphere partisans in our ranks, especially considering that there really are legitimate issues relating to women that the mainstream simply will not touch.

On the other hand, because our movement is about all future white people, it is necessarily concerned with white reproduction and therefore with relations between the white sexes. We want and need white women on board. So our movement must contain an alliance, however uneasy, between manosphere partisans and non-retarded white women. The common ground should be the incontrovertible:

  1. Each white generation should be of higher quality than the last. This means that higher-quality people should have more offspring per capita than lower-quality people.

  2. White people should be happy. Part of this is high-quality people being happy having many high-quality children.

It doesn't much matter how these get done as long as they do get done. Modern feminism does not do either so there is an opportunity for a DR "feminism". It seems to me, though, that the people trying to devise a DR-feminism are the usual male crowd. I am unaware of any women who are articulating means by which #1 and #2 can be achieved (am I just out of the loop?). The result is that the manosphere types have the megaphone and this results in zero forward progress.

However I doubt that many women are going to pipe up on the internet to say "here is what you must do to get us to happily have kids". Even the Level 1 Manospherians know that the game does not work that way. The relevant conversations will probably take place one-on-one, offline, between women and men whom they trust.

45 Percent of Republican Voters Support Storming of Capitol Building: Poll by Ethnocrat in debatealtright

[–]aukofthecovenant 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This part is also interesting:

However, when the results were broken down along partisan lines, pollsters found that more than two-thirds of Republicans (68 percent) felt the protesters were not a threat to democracy, compared to 27 percent who felt they were.

Democrats were less divided on the issue. Ninety-three percent said the storming of the Capitol represented a threat to democracy, while only 4 percent felt it was not.

It's unclear how one decides what counts as "a threat to democracy", but the partisan divergence suggests that the two groups differ on what they consider democracy to be. The objective fact is that the certification of electors proceeded much as it would have had the Capitol not been breached, the only difference being that some Congressmen who would have supported Trump backed down instead. Since the certification process continued after the interruption and produced the same result, rather than say that democracy is threatened these people should be saying "look at democracy's resilience".

Maybe this is what the 68% of Republicans are onto. I think to them, "democracy" means the process of deciding who gets power (to which the only threat has been election fraud). Whereas the 93% of Democrats act as if "democracy" means a feeling of general goodwill among the populace that causes everyone to get along.

Perhaps Americans will have a vote on what "democracy" means.

While Liberals would be correct that "more diversity could make Europe rich", an easy counter-reply is "Is Europe not already rich and powerful?".

To which the obvious response is "Yes, but it could be richer with mOaR dIvErSiTy! And who wouldn't want to be richer?". You cede the premise that "richer = better" and then immediately lose if the opponent can demonstrate that "dIvErSiTy = richer". Better to argue from the beginning that there is intrinsic value to ethnic homogeneity and/or that there are things that can't be bought with money but which people need (e.g. sense of community, meaningful life, etc.). See: Robert Putnam.

why do you approve or disapprove of this style?

I don't think it addresses the reason for their opposition. My read is that most leftists and people in general accept the leftist position on diversity because:

  1. They want to be nice, and turning away huddled masses and wretched refuse from your shining city on a hill feels mean. Or;

  2. They really believe in equality ("All human groups are statistically the same in every way except appearance"), and that therefore any observed disparity must be human-caused, and therefore can and must be rectififed by humans.

Neither of these two types will be swayed by your argument.

You're too focused on colonization and on habitation by people on the surface, which I guess is because you're critiquing Elon Musk and considering only what would be achievable with today's technology. Mars could perfectly well be useful to a civilization that has already solved some of the problems of long-term spaceflight.

To even send people to Mars in the first place we would need protection against cosmic radiation and the effects of weightlessness. But if we solve those problems well enough to create a long-term livable structure in space, it is straightforward to park such a structure in Martian orbit. You put people at Mars, not on Mars. Like you, I can't imagine a young couple wanting to live under Mars' surface forever, but I definitely can imagine a young couple wanting to live on a space station at Mars if the economic prospects are good. Not living at the bottom of the gravity well has real advantages (e.g. easier return to Earth), and teleoperation of robots from Mars orbit is already a serious proposal since it cuts out the time lag.

As for what those economic prospects might be, Mars is thought to have industrially useful ores. Obviously nobody yet knows their concentration and distribution so mining viability is largely speculative at present. But it is easier to leave Mars gravity than Earth gravity, so the possibility exists to manufacture on Mars and ship the products where needed. This makes particular sense if the products are bound for further out in the solar system anyway. It also allows to reduce industrial despoiling of Earth, if you don't care that much about polluting Mars. The water supply problem might not be as severe as you suppose.

tl;dr Martian surface for resources, not humans.

I was a fool to believe that immigration mattered, that there was anything in American politics and culture other than the sadomasochistic relationship between white liberals and blacks.

I don't see how the unnamed writer could miss that these are not mutually exclusive. Maybe he's just being hyperbolic? To pick a random example, low-IQ populations will tend to produce fewer doctors and at least as many people who need medical help (percentage-wise), so immigration of low-IQ populations will gradually stress the healthcare system. This has nothing to do with liberals or blacks.

The point about the relationship between blacks and white liberals is well-made, though it's just a rehash of classic "white guilt".

But within that national average, some cities are still largely white, and these have demonstrated an intriguing pattern.

Is it just me, or has this pattern only been on display for the George Floyd protests? As I recall, previous protests over cops killing blacks were mostly done by blacks, but I wasn't paying much attention back then.

So this is the dilemma faced by Alt-Right leaders and similar “nationalist” right-wingers, including many of the individuals around Trump. They have spent the last few years focusing on a largely synthetic issue that has very little connection to the actual reality that most ordinary Americans see [emphasis added] in their day-to-day lives. And as a result, they may have destroyed themselves politically.

It is bad political strategy, no question. That doesn't mean that it isn't a good idea, because immigration still has effects that people don't see right in front of them - the aforementioned healthcare impact, or election outcomes. If you don't actually go look at demographic breakdowns of votes cast, you might never notice the effect of immigration on elections. But it is there.

What are your best arguments against multiculturalism? by [deleted] in debatealtright

[–]aukofthecovenant 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

By "multiculturalism" I mean the view that large numbers of people from any two cultures, no matter how different, can live under the same government with as much or more harmony than there would be if there were only one culture. It cannot work because sometimes the government must take a side. For example:

  1. "Bake the cake, bigot". Since the cake cannot be baked and also not baked, either the baker must be forcibly made unhappy or the gay couple must be forcibly made unhappy. If the baker had lived in a place where homosexuality was simply not tolerated, there would have been no problem. If the gay couple had lived where homosexuality was tolerated, there would have been no problem. Only because all three of them live where there are two parallel cultures that differ on the acceptance of homosexuality is there a problem.

  2. France's burqa ban. Same thing. A woman cannot both wear a burqa and not wear a burqa at the same time, so a decision must be made. But someone will end up unhappy either way. This would not be a problem if the Muslims lived among only other Muslims.

  3. Losing your head over free speech. Same thing, you can't draw Muhammad and not draw Muhammad at the same time, etc.

Rinse and repeat for year after year, with millions of people, and watch the unhappiness grow. Furthermore, for the goverment to enforce whatever decision it makes, it needs all the people under it to see it as legitimate. But that means it's asking for legitimacy from people who it is screwing over. That can't last forever. It also means that everyone has an incentive to fight and fight dirty for control of the government, the better to safeguard or impose their preferred culture. Who wouldn't want to live in a place where that happens?

You can see how the leftist position arises out of this situation. "If you just tolerate everything, there will never be any conflict!" They'll even make the tolerance compulsory.

Black SanFran politician proposes "CAREN Act" to make "racist 911 calls" illegal by [deleted] in debatealtright

[–]aukofthecovenant 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

What's interesting about laws like this is how they reverse the direction of justice. Consider a case like:

  • White woman strolls through park, sees sketchy black guy following her
  • White woman calls police
  • Police arrive, guy cries "Racism!" and cites the CAREN Act
  • Woman gets charged

However, for all we or this woman knows, if she had not called police she might have ended up mugged or worse. What, exactly, does Mr. Walton suggest she do that he would not call racist?

Laws like this make the risk for a white person of interacting with a black person go up. I'm sure that will help race relations. No one should be surprised if the result is that white people start seeking to prevent trouble by consciously avoiding black people.

Umbrella Man has been linked to Hate groups

Since I'd never heard this claim before, I'll save everyone else the bother of looking into it. "Umbrella Man" is the guy wearing a gas mask in this video. Minneapolis police made no headway identifying him for months until receiving an email tip saying that the Umbrella Man was one Mitchell Carson, who is basically a stereotypical skinhead type. Minneapolis Police requested a search warrant for that man's cell phone activity at the time of the window-smashing, which officials say/imply led to the Glorious Floyd Demonstrations becoming violent. This Mitchell Carson was, according to Minneapolis police, connected with a Hell's Angels biker gang and the Aryan Cowboys prison/biker gang.

There's a lot of loose language in the media reports about the investigation that (intentionally?) gives the impression that the police made a positive identification, proving that Umbrella Man = Mitchell Carson. In reality, the police were following up on a lead that appears not to have panned out. Carson was not charged at the time (late July last year) and apparently still has not been [1][2][3], so it is extremely implausible that he was Umbrella Man. The bottom line is that it is incorrect to say that Umbrella Man has been linked to hate groups because (still) no one officially knows who Umbrella Man was.

[–]aukofthecovenant 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

anarchistic and sex-positive version of National Bolshevism

I'm not familiar enough with Limonov to really know what you're talking about, but I'd say that it is sometimes useful to have a state apparatus to facilitate mass-scale coordinated action, so I'm suspicious of anarchism. I approve of "sex-positivity" in the sense that sex is a natural part of life that the people doing it can and should undertake deliberately for the benefit of future generations; I disapprove of the "sex is pleasurable and that's all I need to know, woohoo!" sense of "sex-positivity".

I consider that the denial of White identity and oppression of White people in the US and Europe is intimately connected to the class struggle.

I think we're pretty much agreed on this point. To me it's pretty clear that the ruling elite despise whites who are culturally low-class and therefore feels no guilt about e.g. opening up a meatpacking plant in some rural white town and staffing it with cultural and racial aliens from elsewhere. There is evidence that managers are aware that racial diversity lowers the chances of workers unionizing. And I think there's a sense that to be one of the "fashionable" high-society crowd, a white persion must basically say that white people are bad.

favor abolishing the police, but for class reasons rather than "systemic racism"

I'm curious to see your reasoning on this. To me it's pretty much a given that some people will need to experience the stick, rather than the carrot, to follow the law. When those people break the law, someone must go pick them out of the general population so that the stick can be applied. Whoever does that basically is the police, regardless of what they are called. I don't think you could pull off a police-free, majority-black polity and keep any kind of advanced civilization.

[–]aukofthecovenant 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I know that global warming and climate change are complete nonsense.

Carbon dioxide and methane, among others, do prevent heat from being radiated through the atmosphere into space, and that energy has to go somewhere on Earth. It's no stretch to surmise that at least some of it ends up in the ocean or atmosphere thus affecting weather patterns i.e. climate. These gases are released by human activity.

The idea that countries need to unite or the world is gone in 12 years is BS.

It would be a lot easier to trust mainstream or left-wing sources on the whole climate issue if the people making claims would actually act as if the problem were as important as they say it is. If a blue-haired fat feminist walked up to me and said "Mr. Auk, on behalf of all leftists, I swear we'll give you any political compromise you want in exchange for [insert climate policy here] because saving the planet and the life on it is more important than [insert left-wing bullshit here]", I would gladly put our differences aside and hash out a deal.

I would be OK with giving leftists whatever they want in regards to the environment generally in exchange for whatever we want on demographics and culture. This should be an easy deal for them to make, because, after all, there is not a single item on the left-wing agenda that could possibly be more important than saving the planet, which they tell us is at stake.

Instead, all the climate stuff is just another plank among many in the leftist platform, another mandatory moral crusade, as if that's what anyone wanted. Though to be fair, the fact that the United States has effectively a two-party system deserves some of the blame for this situation.

Note that this is all completely independent of the scientific facts about climate change.

But I still care about the environment. I hate the plastic pollution result of mass consumerism and materialism. My love for animals and nature makes me support low-meat/plant-based diets. I hate street littering, and I wish we could plant more trees. I also hate the air pollution from cars that causes lung cancer in humans and hurts nature. I wish we could end coal, natural gas, and oil and rely on only wind, solar, other renewables, and some nuclear.

You and me both. The reason I'm generally comfortable with left-wing environmental positions is because they're basically our own anyway.

I don't think eating meat is that big a deal. Humans evolved to be omnivores. Just don't be a glutton, and show respect to the animal by not wasting its body. For that matter you could say the same about eating plants.

My takes on the environment have also put me against the GOP.

Don't worry about that. The GOP is not master over us and we are not the GOP. What matters is that your/our positions on the environment are in keeping with white well-being.

[–]aukofthecovenant 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

As with everything, weigh the costs and benefits.

Costs: Time, money, risk of becoming a leftoid, possibility of debt, possible earnings forgone

Benefits: Specialized skills, credentials, access to university resources (libraries, computers), maybe networking opportunities

If you want an occupation that would have required a college degree in 1922, it will still need one today and you should get one. On the other hand, you have universities now with degrees in stuff like "Hotel and Restaurant Management" as if people haven't been running hotels and restaurants for millennia already. If that's your plan for college, you should reconsider whether it's really necessary. At least make an attempt to get into the field first.

A possible exception to this rule is software engineering stuff. It is possible for an extremely talented high school graduate to get a software job without a degree, if he can show an impressive portfolio of projects that are close to what a company is already doing. If you don't have that, don't even daydream about this path.

At least some people in our sphere should aspire to worm their way into positions of influence and these often (rightly or wrongly) require credentials. This does not have to be everyone. It would be stupid for every DR man to spurn college in favor of plumbing.

The hope is that this tendency is countered by having a responsible electorate that doesn't get taken in by stunts, but universal suffrage means we probably don't have one.

Refuting the Absurdity of Hyper Relativsm, The Notion that Any One Person's Opinion Is Just As Valid As Another's by Richard_Parker in debatealtright

[–]aukofthecovenant 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Honestly, I think you're mostly on the losing side of the argument as far as artistic or cultural subjects are concerned, and considering the way this "hyper-relativism" is usually employed. When your interlocutor says "who are you to say, everyone is entitled to his opinion”, what he actually means is "I like this thing, I don't understand why I like it well enough to articulate the reasons to you, and I don't like that you don't like what I like so please shut up".

It's not a question of refuting the claim "everyone is entitled to his opinion", taken to mean "everyone knows what pleases him" in this context, because that interpretation is simply the truth. You have to reorient the discussion around what people should like which is different. Normative vs positive. You have to move the other person from a world where the purpose of consuming art/culture is to induce pleasure, to a world where one uses art/culture to cultivate taste. That's a lot easier said than done. I find it helps to be as specific as possible about what you like about e.g. the screenplay of Taxi Driver, because you will be more readily understood and you will find it easier to talk about objective quality.

I don't expect this to work all that often. When I was young, I enjoyed listening to hymns at church. When I was older, I noticed how mind-numbingly simple the melodies were. Presumably they are simple because they're intended to be sung by the whole congregation, which includes people who are ... not savants. People like that usually are not going to appreciate Mozart's Der Hölle Rache the way an opera aficionado would, though it can happen.

Perhaps I was not clear. I did not ask if you deny that it "is the problem"; I asked if you deny that it is true.

People of all races around the world commit random murders

Your homework is to find which ones commit more random murders per capita.

suggesting that blacks commit crimes because of the color of their skin

Do you believe that race and skin color are completely interchangeable concepts?

as if they get up in the morning, realize that they are people of color, and thus decide to go stab people.

You expect us to accept that some people "will go crazy and want to stab random people" merely because they lost a job, yet you also seem to think it absurd that any black people would go crazy and want to stab people for any reason related to their respective races. Make up your mind. This incident may help.

Meta-analysis suggests education causally raises IQ by Ethnocrat in debatealtright

What's to debunk? Because:

Education appears to be the most consistent, robust, and durable method yet to be identified for raising intelligence.

hardly seems implausible. The paper does not include the words "race" or "ethnic" anywhere, so the relevance to our thing is probably minimal. The only part of the abstract that raises an eyebrow for me is:

we found consistent evidence for beneficial effects of education on cognitive abilities of approximately 1 to 5 IQ points for an additional year of education.

which makes it sound like you can pump up IQ scores indefinitely by tacking on more years of education. Raise your IQ by up to 150 points by going to school for 30 years! Presumably the rest of the paper will make it clear what was meant by this sentence. For all we know, it's +1 IQ point per year for blacks and +5 per year for Asians or something.

The abstract of the second study says:

Trustworthiness declines when partners are of different races or nationalities. High status individuals are able to elicit more trustworthiness in others.

From the abstract in the third link, for the only one of the five studies that could possibly ascertain causality:

Study 5 found that people asked to imagine that they were living in a more racially diverse neighborhood were more willing to help others in need

In other words, the conversations went like:

Experimenter: "Imagine you're living in a more racially diverse neighborhood than you are now. Would you be more or less likely to help neighbors in need?"

Subject: "Well I don't want you to think I'm racist, so I'll say more likely."

Experimenter: "Aha! Diversity is a strength after all!"

From the fourth, which focuses on the case of Lewiston, Maine which Amren has more to say about:

Other recent findings that have shown lower levels of social capital amidst diversity may be a product of residential sorting, longer-term processes, or threshold effects.

In other words, the study was limited in the kinds of effects it could detect.

The kids being tested are barely over a year old, so what kind of tests are they being given? I'm sure the people administering said tests are dutifully wearing their masks. If the tests involve reading facial expressions, responding to tones of voice, or similar, masks would make them more difficult.

Over a period of 15 years, the South Korean government has invested $178bn in a wide range of social benefits, such as paid leave, free health care, childcare, primary schools, tuition scholarships and other perks, including free iPhones, in a bid to raise birth rates in the country. The trouble is, none of this has made a difference.

And just like the ISIS terrorists our nation and our allies have confronted in the great cities of the West

Who would not even have been there had you people listened to us.

Substitute “jihadist” for “white supremacist” or “white nationalist” and then imagine how we’d act.

Substitute "black nationalist" for "white nationalist" and then imagine how we'd do comparatively nothing.

In fact, given the magnitude of the issues at stake, decency is even more urgent. It helps keep emotions under control.

The underpinnings of emotional self-control can only be biological, and clearly are not evenly distributed because all these killers Mr. French condemns didn't have enough of it whereas most white people do. Perhaps, Mr. French, you would care to inquire about differences in self-control between whites and blacks?

And our nation’s leaders need to focus on reconciliation and unity

I take it you have seen Ryan Faulk's criticism of GGS.

I don't think so, at least not from him. I remember the first time I read GGS I got to the part where Diamond says (paraphrasing) "ackshually, Melanesians are probably smarter than Europeans because Melanesians are more physically active", which isn't even logically sound - all you could say is that Melanesians are smarter than they would be if they lived the lifestyle of Europeans, but that's not the same thing. DIamond just casually saunters on assuming that everyone already believes all groups are equally intelligent. One of my first redpills.

White Americans all have different ancestries.

That's true, but it's not all that relevant to Americans. To the extent that groups of white Americans regard themselves as different from other white Americans, its a geographic and cultural thing - "The South" vs "The Midwest" vs "The Northeast", not "Scots-Irish" vs "Scandinavians" vs "Anglos" even if those are largely two ways of looking at the same thing.

Right now, I think most white Americans see themselves as basically the same as other white Americans because the gap between Scots-Irish Southerners and Anglo Northeasterners pales in comparison to the gap between whites and the nonwhite races in America.

Advocating to criminalize miscegenation would mean publicly voicing a politically-incorrect preference. Most people simply will not do this regardless of their actual position on the matter. Relevant studies show:

Interracial marriage has grown in the United States over the past few decades, and polls show that most Americans are accepting of mixed-race relationships.

But new research from the University of Washington suggests that reported acceptance of interracial marriage masks deeper feelings of discomfort — even disgust — that some feel about mixed-race couples.

an odious cultural milieu that needs to be stopped

Trevor Lynch puts it nicely here:

Unhealthy organisms experience culture in a radically different way. Ideals are not experienced as a challenge to quicken and mobilize the life force. Instead, they are experienced as a threat, an insult, an external imposition, a gnawing thorn in the flesh. The unhealthy organism wishes to free itself from the tension created by ideals—which it experiences as nothing more than unreasonable expectations (unreasonable by the standards of an immanentized reason, a mere hedonistic calculus). The unhealthy organism does not wish to suppress and sublimate his natural desires. He wishes to validate them as good enough and then express them. He wants to give them free reign, not pull back on the bit.

A question regarding Race & Body Transplants. by radicalcentrist in debatealtright

For example, what if you could take a White Man's brain and put it directly in the body of a Black? Would this new person be considered racially White, despite looking completely black on the outside, but carries White genomes on the inside?

Even assuming that endocrine differences don't matter (same testosterone secretion, for example), probably not. The instinct of using appearance to determine group membership is probably too strong. I know black people who act very white, and they don't consider themselves at all white (why would they?) and neither do I. Black-white hybrids tend to self-identify as black even though presumably their brains are already half-white. I would expect one of these hypothetical people to think of himself as "a different kind of black man" rather than "a white man in a black man's body".

Assuming science in the future becomes even more powerful, could the key to White preservation come in the form of "race transplants"? For example, what if you could take a White Man's brain and put it directly in the body of a Black?

This doesn't really address the numbers problem, since it won't increase the number of white people.
