Earliest memory of your life that you still remember today? by Vulphere in AskSaidIt

My earliest memory is from an all-day kindergarten. I'm four or five years old, it's nap time, and I'm fooling around with a cute girl who's on the adjacent cot. Good times.

I'd kiss my wife, who'd suddenly be alive again.

Uh, because there's next-to-nobody here yet.

I've used public transit everywhere I've lived -- Seattle, San Francisco, Kansas City, and Wisconsin.

OK, I'm a dummy. For some reason I had the unsubscribe buttons blocked via adblocker. Everything's fine now -- sorry.

Newbie question: I want to unsubscribe from a few subsaidits, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how. "... the default opt-out way, where you just remove things from your subscription list as you browse /s/subscribed (the link for this is at the very top-left of the screen)." That's where I am, and I see no unsubscribe buttons. On Reddit, there are subscribe and unsubscribe buttons on every subreddit's home page, but I don't see those on saidit either. Probably my own denseness, but I'd appreciate a patient nudge. Thanks.

Different strokes for different folks. I find her plenty likeable. She's clever, quips nicely, and speaks the Doctor's philosophy much the same as her many likeable predecessors. What's not to like?

I'm antikarma, because I thought (and still think) Reddit's karma system is ass-backward and encourages rotten content. And I'm antikarma98 because, apparently, other people agreed and had already taken the name.

Yeah, me too. As I've gotten older, it's about time. I'm no longer willing to read sci-fi novels (or literature in other genres) if I'm not feeling like it's worth the time and trouble.

I still read a lot of sci-fi novels and see some sci-fi movies, but not so many as I used to. The Avengers was the last superhero movie I saw, and it was good, but ... there are so many superhero movies, I feel like I've already seen enough.

I'd say, though, give the new Doctor Who a chance. At 45 minutes a pop, I felt every episode oj Whitaker's first season was worth my time and attention.

Fair enough. Not everyone is a sci-fi geek like me, and not even every sci-fi geek likes Doctor Who. As for Jenna Coleman, I've seen her only in Doctor Who and Victoria, but my impression is that she's a pretty face, but not a convincing actress.

You're entitled to your opinion. Mine is that there's room for improvement, but series 11 worked quite well, and Jodie Whitaker is excellent.

I spent five minutes at Voat today, because I'm ready for a workable alternative to Reddit. Five minutes was about all I could stand.

I've been on Saidit for several hours. Seems generally well-thought out. Thank you for your work, OP.
