The redesign also discourages comments. You can't comment or edit or delete comments from your profile page the way you can on legacy reddit.

This will be a deal breaker for many people. 911truth is the most credible conspiracy around. And because it's credible it's the one TPTB want to suppress. They are really hitting a lot of subs. Some of them I'd never look at but some of them credible. So they are doubling down on censorship and spreading lies.

Who's Behind the Ongoing Alt/Indy Media Purge? The most interesting part is at about 15:30 where the video shows the Atlantic Council is pushing to eliminate commentary sections, to stop websites from allowing readers to make comments on what they read! by allie in conspiracy

The most interesting part was when he shows The Atlantic Council is pushing the idea (at about 15:30)of disabling commentary sections. That is, changing websites, like Reddit so they don't allow comments, don't allow people to discuss different views. Ever notice how it's so much harder to comment after the Reddit redesign while it was easy and encouraged in legacy Reddit. Digg, after the buyout, eliminated, not just comments, but voting.

So they want us to buy their products, to read their lies but not to be allowed to comment on them.

In February 2009, James L. Jones, then-chairman of the Atlantic Council, stepped down in order to serve as President Obama's new National Security Advisor and was succeeded by Senator Chuck Hagel. In addition, other Council members also left to serve the administration: Susan Rice as ambassador to the UN, Richard Holbrooke as the Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan, General Eric K. Shinseki as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and Anne-Marie Slaughter as Director of Policy Planning at the State Department. Four years later, Hagel stepped down to serve as US Secretary of Defense. Gen. Brent Scowcroft served as interim chairman of the organization's Board of Directors until January 2014, when former ambassador to China and governor of Utah Jon Huntsman, Jr. was appointed. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_Council

I can see now , on reddit, why you can't criticize islam. I think part of freedom of religion is being able to criticize various religions. If I can, and do, criticize Christianity, surely i should be able to criticize islam or Judaism, as long as I make a reasoned argument and don't go into a Lindsey Graham rant. If I can criticize my own country surely I should be allowed to criticize Saudi Arabia or Israel?

Reddit just got too big and too powerful. Too many people have become determined to see it's controlled.

This forgets what war is always about. Theft. Historically soldiers were generally allowed a cut of everything they stole, everyone they enslaved. War started as the earliest way to get rich. Now wars mostly enrich a few corporations and plutocrats but originally, if a soldier survived, he came home with more than he started with.

I've read that much of the US aid to Israel is cycled back to the US as campaign contributions to politicians who will support Israel in everything. So we're paying for it when Israel mistreats Palestinians. Probably Russia figured out how to pay to put the politicians they wanted in office.
