They ignore the domestication of animals which happened globally more than 10,000 years ago. It's absurd.

One of my best friends--before we became friends, we were just coworkers--said, "I have a lot of opinions. I know you have opinions; you should speak them." To her, it was an expectation. She wanted discourse. We disagree on many topics, but we're still friends several years later because we expect and welcome disagreement: at minimum, it makes us think.

Another was never being called on for questions in grad school, strictly because I was female (all the men, a vast majority in the course, seemed to get theirs answered just fine) until the first test scores came back.

It is infuriating that people are criticizing JK for "claiming oppression" or whatever as she protests trans activism. First, she was abused, and it's completely reasonable that she speak about her history. Second, she is obviously using her platform to promote the rights of women with significantly less "privilege" than she.

It is unbelievable that these people are journalists and are backed by mainstream media publications.

She brought our argument to the forefront, and the sub was growing exponentially by "peaked" people. They wanted to shut down discussion. Nothing she says or what we support is hateful; it's simply fact based on biology and corroborated by statistics.
