I actually agree with you to some extent. If normie sites just allowed open discussion, there wouldn't be as much 'alt right spam'. Quarantining people based on politics has just centralized people with those viewpoints to 4chan, which is inherently a shitposting site, which makes alt right personalities, for the most part, act obnoxious. I know a few that are part of Discord servers that go around and look for communities to indoctrinate. They'll storm the community and shitpost, which usually makes all the decent people leave and the community dies. Most of them aren't looking to debate in the first place.

Huh, TIL. Seems like both countries are a good fit then.

I just made the switch here after hearing about r/WaterNiggas. I'm tired of modern internet culture, censorship, political correctness, and blatant left-leaning mods on Reddit. Hopefully this site has a brighter future.

I think Switzerland is a safer bet, personally. The servers wouldn't be hosted in the European Union, which means the website wouldn't be under the iron boot of Article 13.

The biggest problem I see with starting your own platform to combat censorship is the platform usually gets flooded with degenerate viewpoints. For example, Voat's homepage is filled with alt-right spam. Sure, let them have a say, but when they are the majority, they scare away ordinary people trying to emigrate from Reddit.

It was very disappointing trying Voat out to find out it infected the entire website. We need a real alternative to Reddit that is for the people.
