Here is where they really make me crazy, because science denial is everywhere right now, and it seems to be so virulent on the left. The left I have supported since I was aware, and I cannot support this, ever. The left that believes in science.

I am politically homeless, and outside of my local (US) rural women's shelter, that will never admit men, I plan to donate to animal rescue causes only. Where I live, in conservative rural US, the teenagers (mostly white, like the town) march with "Black Trans Lives Matter" signs last summer. I know every single black person in this town, and none of us is trans. Those kids were not marching for the local people, neither for our lives, nor for the people who gathered to watch their small parade.

I say this to illustrate how the mindset is everywhere, taking over everything, every movement. It is the internet. We have had high speed internet/wireless phones for over a decade now. I doubt anywhere is safe, and I am mad about it. I am glad some men are also mad about it- speak up for all of us, please. For your sister, mom, your hoped for partner, and those of us you don't know or even like.

I am black, and was born in a majority black country, which was/is terrible for women. I moved to the US in high school, and have lived in liberal cities my whole adult life, until now. I don't like living in a 99% white , hyper conservative, rural town. I can't imagine moving to a conservative state would be good for me, let alone a country that protects women by covering them up, forcing them to have almost no public life. I also will not give up loving women.

Is there such a place that would protect me as a black woman? I kind of doubt it exists, so I will stay and fight where I am.
