That seems pretty logical to me. That does not mean you shouldn't carry though. Lawful citizens carrying weapons is the best deterrent for armed robberies and shootings.

Assaulting an officer during a routine arrest is a violent offense. The entire exchange was calm up until they started to cuff him and dude bucked. He wrestled, punched an officer in the face, stole a taser and ran off. His drunk driving played no part in the outcome.

As far as tasers being considered lethal or not, it's my understanding that Georgia law considers them to be deadly. Also, the DA who charged the officer in this case claimed that tasers were not considered lethal in this instance. However, just a few weeks ago, the same DA claimed that tasers were lethal when a cop pointed one at a college student.

Internet anonymity is cool. If you feel so strongly though, why don't you share those thoughts with people in person? I know you won't, pussy.

It doesn't take a genius to know that 100 pounds of force directly on the neck can cause bloodflow restriction. His knee is clearly on the side of his neck where the carotid artery is located. I'd be willing to bet that's how he died. I usually stand up for officers but this is the most egregious example of police brutality I've ever seen. The guy was already in cuffs and the officer kept his weight on him long after he stopped breathing. There's no defending this, so stop trying.

I don't know. Looks like it could be just horrible awareness that lead to panic to me. If you watch some car crash compilations on YouTube, you'll see a surprising number of crashes where the driver panics and pushes the accelerator instead of the brake pedal. She should face some charges for being that oblivious but I'm not sure about murder.
