Trump is not beholden to any special interests, like any President to emerge from the traditional party establishment is. Therefore, Trump puts the entire system of graft and corruption at risk, because he doesn't owe anyone favors. He won't allow lobbyists to write policy, or to dictate regulations. Most importantly, he expects the government to represent the interests of the American people, which is to say he expects that gigantic bureaucracy that runs US Government agencies to put US interests first. As we have seen, large swaths are more interested in damaging the current President than doing the job they were hired to do.

Yeah, he only came out against hate mobs when the hate mob turned its attention to him. That's not a conversion.

That depends on how he reacts to being mobbed. Some see the light and swing totally 180 degrees. (The most ardent anti-Commie was almost always the former Commie.) Others, like Graham, only appear to swing part way. What are we doing to help him swing further?
