Hmm, for me, I realised that when my sleep gets disrupted during the REM phase, I feel groggy and tired throughout the day. Maybe because the phase as a whole doesn't get completed. As you said, one can remember the dreams too. I don't like the dreams I get because the dreams in REM are more inclined towards processing emotions. I'm going through some taxing emotional situation these days, that's also a reason I don't feel well mentally if I remember the dreams that I had. I have friends like you, who like to have a disrupted REM to better recall their dreams and still feel fresh.

I'm at home currently with a call from the University in September. I won't get enough time to study once I join the University and would be swamped by labs, I am trying to studying as much as I can. I often read Lovecraft stories and have been playing a zero-player game called Godville.

Aah, this is the main problem of LDR. Opposite person idealizing the other without thinking that they have certain traits of their own.

I never expected to find someone so amazing as her. I have been with her for one year and three months now. It's really difficult to keep the relationship going especially when we hardly get to talk on phone because we still live with parents despite being 21 yo.

I am from India and I had an LDR with a woman who is from Russia. We are still very much in love and had to break up because of the distance and the uncertainty of being together in the future. Although it being an LDR (for almost a year), it felt that we were so right for each other. I think our thoughts matched because of the conservative nature of our culture. I enjoyed learning about her culture and language. Most interesting was to realise the similarities between Russian and the language that I speak.

I never realised the true meaning behind the scene that you mentioned from a portrait of lady on fire. I found it a bit strange too but now, looking back it was indeed creative way to depict lesbian sex.
