A 21-year-old woman was shot dead in broad daylight in Faridabad district of Haryana on Monday. The incident took place during a failed abduction attempt that was caught on camera.

The incident took place on Monday afternoon at Faridabad's Ballabgarh when two men tried to abduct the victim, identified as Nikita Tomar. When she resisted, one of the accused pulled out a revolver and fired at her, police said. The brutal murder was caught on camera.

When my dad grew up in the 60s-70s he told me about these insane bullying stories that were really common that you just don't really see anymore. Yeah, although they don't really tell you what they're for, and it's actually enjoyable for most people. We got a break from class and got to chill with out friends with the lights out. There are lockdowns for a lot of other random things too, like a nearby bank robbery or something like that, so lockdowns usually aren't imminent danger. And at least in the early 2010s when there weren't as many school shootings, it wasn't even something I thought of as being really associated with the lockdown.

School doors in high school actually tend to work pretty well for hiding. The doors have two locks, one that isn't on the knob. The doors are very thick, the windows are very thin and small, so there is probably a part of the classroom that the shooter wouldn't be able to reach, or it would just not be worth the hassle to even try to get in because of how short of a response time there is. I believe in Parkland most of the deaths game from one classroom because he was able to do that one first, so no one was hiding yet. Everyone else was generally okay
