the part which says "insecure about their chest for years" and was the start of the transing reeks of fear of being seen as a female or being sexualised (that one is pretty fair). I don't want to assume she was sexually harassed or molested, but she should talk to a counsellor about it. I also wonder about how the parents are raising the kids. The sister in question was 12 when she got the binder and according to OP she's been feeling insecure about her chest for years. 12 years old is a pretty damn uncommon age to feel like that, like I get the "awkwardness", but to try to disguise yourself as male echoes that something else might be off. For me, it was so bad that looking really beautiful, elegant, graceful, zero masculine style made me feel very much scared and "prey", so I wonder if this girl feels the same way too.

Can the dislike or even outright disgust towards Bodybuilder looking women be a form of misogyny? by Kai_Decadence in GenderCritical

[–]TheOnyxGoddess 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well, personally, I find non-body built women to be better looking, but it's to do with the "preference of lines', Like, I like "smooth" outlines on a person's body and one that reminds me of elegance of a curled frond, men achieve this look too and it's the type of look I like in men. (just sharing my perception of beauty).

Now the part about "these women are "trying to become men", these comments have always rubbed me the wrong way.", those comments feel wrong to me too. They're women who just like to sculpt their bodies and one time, I wished I had that body too. I can imagine the respect I can demand, but that doesn't mean I'm trying to be a "man", I just want to empower myself and I imagine that some of these ladies, might even want to do that too. Those men, I'm not surprised, probably find it "jarring' to see a woman who can overpower them. My cynism and misandry will say "they fear the muscle bound woman", but there's me trying to find the most logical view point that in the case of men aren't being intimidated or shocked, they're probably speaking from a respectable kind of way from the perspective of seeing their muscle bound bros who are musclly...but then again, if it was was respectable it wouldn't be "trying" now would it?

I'm trying to imagine the tone here to give a benefit of the doubt, but it's not working, because my bet is that you probably wouldn't post this if it didn't sound bad in tone and as if like these men are taking the existence of these ladies as an affront to themselves.

[–]TheOnyxGoddess 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I get seeing yourself in anime characters, but seriously, I see myself in anime and gaming characters all of the time, but I goddamn know that I'm not them. I just badly want to be like them or I relate them in a very unique way that I haven't been able to relate to another character before (e.g. similar nature in family relationships, housing).

Also, for a while, I was surprised that males want to be female characters, I thought they'd want to be the male characters because they tend to be more 'active' or 'stronger'. Maybe they "feel" (i.e. imagine) the pressure to be a "masculine" male too much.

You are right. I was about to post the paper here as an exercise for everyone to scrutinise and we can all talk about the inherent things wrong with the research, but I lost it. I remember the pharmaceutical company was headquartered in Europe (I think Germany) at least.

The funny thing, I read somewhere that the reason why hey discriminate homo and sexually active men because the anus does not resist the STI as well as the vaginal canal. I think it's a stupid rule but I also suspect that they're really trying to make sure they don't consume all of their budget and resources for mass blood testing. It would ruin the blood if they having been taking hormones and crap and lie about it. I also read somewhere that a some people (I'm not a media expert, so I don't knownif it's exclusively women) need MALE blood specifically because there's a name only component in it which they need to survive (Note this was ages ago, but I remember seeing g it on gendercritical).

I also suspect their notion weren't "challenged" enough. I remember whenever I exhibited or expressed something to do with gender identity, I was either challenged "so...what part of being a girl stops you from doing this" (e.g. manual labor, games) or "so, this pair of kids pyjamas come with a little teddy bear" for cheap and comfy $1 AUD unpopular pyjamas (they were comfy, back when manufacturing was better too). My family aren't even TRYING to be political or socially progressive, the focus was pragmatism. I really couldn't use "it's because I'm a GIRL".

I noticed this gender identity distinction from an early age, and was annoyed when I got the boy stuff because "I'm a girl" and lots of stuff are marketed SOECIFICALLY for "girls" but my family, shut that stuff down because we're not rich, we're not from a background where we can afford to exercise this crap more often.

I could be wrong, but those changing tables tend to be in a place that's generally situated outside of the stalls, but still within the restrooms (if there are any in the restrooms in the first place), so if he is peeping, he would have to walk a little away and stick his head right into the stall to get a good angle to see the person, or get on the floor and crawl. In Australia, we don't have large gapes between the toilet doors. The only one toilet "peeping" incident I have was from a 6 yr old little girl, I think she was trying to look for a relative because she was calling out for a relative. I still did not like that she tried to look underneath my door.

Neither have I. In fact I've never seen any mother or father change their child's diapers in any restrooms, which is a good choice because restrooms aren't very sanitary and there's very little room to do so. I think I did glimpse a mother change her baby's diaper in the back seat of her car and this was parked in front of a large Mcdonalds, with a large restroom, in one of those motorway areas (where there is a petrol station and some fast food places around to cater for travellers that need to stop and rest) on my way to said McDonalds to use the toilet. Parents that are prepared usually have something like a towel or blanket which they put their baby on top of to change the diaper.

My argument would be that it's about limiting chances. The chances of someone of the opposite sex being in the bathroom, they're most likely going to perv, it's due to the psychology of curiosity and some people are just perverted, no matter the sex. My other arguments is that I'd much prefer to be in a majority heterosexual women space to change clothes than having mixed sex, as it's safer. This acceptance is my way of compromising with the fact that I'd be undressing myself in a public space in exchange to get into appropriate wear when going or leaving the public pool. About parents, I honestly do not mind if a father takes his daughter to the women's toilets, as long as he hangs around the entrance, if he needs to help his daughter, he can just go into the stall with her.

If it helps, you're doing a good job trying to maintain a strong level of of impartiality and making sure to apply logical and critical analysis. Aside from the morally grey people, there're people who shouldn't be a scientist and scientists in general are also not immune to bias of any type. They are still people, just getting a degree in science means they're less likely to make mistakes when coming up with conclusions (maybe in the older days, I think the bench mark to become a scientist has sank today). This is why no matter if you're a scientist or not, you got to keep questioning. I follow a principle of "don't let people put you in your place just because you're not trained in the field or share the same experience (even life experience) and don't let arrogance cloud your views" and "if people want to be offended, that's on them". I tend to judge people by how they react to basic questions. If they answer, it's great, if they react as if they're arrogant or feel you're attacking them when it's quite clear you're not trying to offend anyone, better remember they're not worthwhile to have intellectual conversations.

They have so much less than they think. Science hasn't exactly even proven what is a "female" or "male" brain, I'm not even sure if they've proven there's an existence of such. At most science can probably say "this is a feminine brain" or "masculine brain" to describe a subject's brain structure based off correlation of what they find when they examine female or male brain structure. To give an example of what I mean, someone might describe my brother's hands as having "girly hands" because his hands are within the statistically common size range of adult female hands, not adult male hands. It's like they decided to define the entire thing based off sociological behaviours exhibited in a dynamic context (e.g. changing of culture). They might as well be saying "you have a male height" when communicating their observations. The study of sociology has no business in the study of human neurology. If these TiMs want to get a brain scan, they might get something that is often exhibited in the female brain, but that does not prove that their brain specifically tells them that they are "women". That's their own idea. Their logic would be very much like measuring a man's height and his wrist diameter and finding his results are within a woman's range, not a man's range and based off that concluding he's a "woman".

Note: I wrote this before reading the actual forum. I read and follow the OP's account and saw this comment and wanted to reply my thoughts. So if this resembles other comment here, that would be why.

Yes. The petition is very much "I have a friend who needs this, they can get it for medical reasons but it's not fair for those who are deluded and want their delusions validated". I really don't want to put in exact wording, or any wording leading up to it because I don't want people to flock to that petition. I'm not going to converse with my acquaintance about it, he clearly supports this stuff.

I told a guy to shut up because he was distracting me from studying, can you guess his response? "I'll rape you". When it comes to cases like these, I never hold back so I said "You're too gay to rape me" (I don't believe that, sexuality does not dictate action, just incentivise/deter action). I was called homophobic after that, but I honestly don't care and really, I don't even care if someone attacks someone back with a stereotype of my ethnicity or gender, because they're within their right to defend themselves (I just hope they don't believe what they themselves are saying). I'm not homophobic and I know that, but I'm not going to let him bully me, I've had that way too much and I don't care if people call me bad labels because of my actions. I try to apply this concept to how I go through life. It's very helpful.

He had a debate scheduled with the late Magdalen Berns (rip) in 2019 via Twitter where they would be debating about the legitimacy of transgenderism. Magdalen at the time was in decent health and was ready to debate him but he kept postponing and rescheduling the date. I believe he did this about 3 or 4 times. But then Magdalen's cancer worsened and she was put into the hospice and that is when Blaire came out and said that he didn't feel comfortable debating someone with a brain tumor. But the thing is, the months prior Magdalen was in decent health and ready to do it.

I'm not surprised if he's avoiding the more analytical questions about the ideology, but the fact he actually postponed an announced debate a few times is something I got to see with my own eyes, so I can stop being skeptical and at the same time be entertained. Can you post them for me please? It's a bit hard for me to find on my end because it's old news.

To the Gamers of Gender Critical, What do you think of the character Bayonetta? by Kai_Decadence in GenderCritical

[–]TheOnyxGoddess 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I did like that they had her in her dress when in her mansion because it was a neat reference to the portrait of her from Soul Calibur 2 and Soul Calibur 3.

I thought it was cool they had her in a dress and they remembered that she does wear a dress like in SCII (well I hope they remembered, it would be disappointing if that was just a decision they made for storytelling reasons), but I wished they put her in a period dress, something that fits the era and her status as an aristocrat (she would look so lovely). I'm not asking for Project Soul to be 100% historically accurate, but at least put Ivy in a nice aristocratic dress that seems to befit the time period.

she wasn't in complete danger considering her sword was a powerful weapon that could do all sorts of tricks to protect herself based on her moveset.

I'm never worried about Ivy, she's too tough to be messed with. When I watched the storyline of SCVI, I imagined the climate of the period and location setting, I imagined feeling cold, but hey, whatever helps her use her weapon and minimise utting her clothing at the same time (my personal joke explanation of why she wears scanty dominatrix outfits).

And yeah Talim's look in SC4 was especially alarming upon further inspection. When I first played the game back when I was a teenager, I didn't notice that Talim's pants were translucent until I went back to the game and took a closer look at the character outfits in that game. Needless to say, I was super shocked that they did that because not only was it inappropriate considering her age, it really did ruin what could've been a cute look for her. Honestly she's always had some very odd looks. I like Talim but it's very unnerving some of the undertones her character leans into.

I don't blame you for not noticing initially, in the gameplay the translucent fabric of her pants are less noticeable. If you look at the official art, you'll notice it right away. Her SCVI default costume is pretty disturbing, she wears a bra that looks more like some straps criss crossed on her chest and her shorts are very open on the sides (I think you can see the sides of her butt cheek in her character trailer). That could've been her best costume, had they not tried to make it so revealing.

https://imgur.com/a/ESEDp1U

(I screenshot this from her character trailer)

When I saw her SCIV outfit, I thought she looked more like a priestess and thought "finally, someone who looks like she fits her title or job", but then when I noticed the translucent pants, I was very disappointed. It was also disappointing that they would sexualise a child (the same could be said for Amy, but she was less severe to me). That could've been her best outfit out of the series, and then they ruined it to make it look more fantasy and eye candy.

Honestly she's always had some very odd looks.

To me, everyone had unique looks to them, (though there were some that had some normal looks like Mitsurugi, Taki, Sophitia, Yun-Seong). If there was anyone that looked the most odd, it was Voldo, I think most of the players would be wondering if he's even human (he is, but he doesn't sound or move like one). Talim had so much potential, and then they wasted her design. To me her SCII first costume would always be the best (I wish they made her tube top larger and cover more of her chest, and made the waist band of her pants reach her waist, not stop at her hips). I would have gone for the SCIII, but the front dark blue part of the costume ruined it (I'm not a fan of her hairstyle, but it's the outfit I'm focusing on). That's the most conservative and decent costume they have for her and they ruined it by making it look like a hybrid two-piece and one-piece outfit. I know they don't suck at fashion design. It's pretty evident in the series, look how they designed SCII Raphael's default outfit, I know they could have done better than that for Talim for SCIII.

Speaking of Raphael, I think they really ruined him in the later games. For me SCII Raphael had the best voice actor and best costume (I personally think all of the SCII voice actors were the best in the series, I just don't feel the next voice actors capture their characters for various reasons). Then for SCIII, they made him a vampire with an overrated one side lock of hair, with the rest gelled back, as if like they were trying to make him look aristocratic and fancy, but the entire thing looks bland and like an attempt at a vampire cliche (that green coat dors not make sense, also it's tacky). Come SCIV, common sense hit them that they should have kept his hair style and make his outfits actually look gothic and they continued this theme for SCV and I appreciated how they didn't ruin his design so much.

For SCVI, I have a feeling they really wanted to take the aristocratic design to eleven, it looked so ridiculous to me. They gave him a off-shoulder cape and a pair of glasses (or mask), thigh high fancy boots with frills and gloves with frills. I feel if they tone back the fanciness, he would look less like someone dressed up to perform Shakespeare and more like an aristocrat, living in the same period as Shakespeare (which he was).

Removing the glasses and changing the boots to leather boots and the gaunlets to simple black ones might work, his shirt and pants can stay the same.

Really though, I always felt that her 2-Player outfit from SC3 because I felt it looked more "Warrior-esq" (relatively) that was both stylish but also somewhat serious.

I think I like her navy captain style more from SCII, even though she does not look good in it, I like the outfit though (I seem to find most of the outfits from that game the most attractive out of the Soul Series). SCIII second outfit gives off the American Wild West feels to me (I think it's the hat). I think the silver parts on her costume add unnecessary bulk to the aesthetics, also I think they should've went with a purple colour palette, it looks a bit too pink. I think it might look better if they put some silver or gold ornate details instead of metal bulk, change the colour of the outfit to a more darker purple palette, make the hat a top hat with a small veil in front with roses pinned to it (maybe) or remove the hat altogether. They were so close and yet so far with this design (why do they keep doing this to me?)

Out of curiosity, who are your favourite characters in the soul series? Who do you main? Which character outfit did you think is the best and which one is the worst?

Ivy's avatar in Soul Calibur 6 was interesting. In Soul Calibur 6 you can tell what the characters are wearing by looking at their avatars in the story mode. When Ivy is indoors, she wears a dress, but when she's outdoors, she wears her dominatrix outfit, which would be deemed inappropriate (even by today's standards), I sometimes jokingly wonder if it's because the inside of the mansion is colder than outside. I honestly thought she would be wearing her doninatrix outfit inside the mansion too. Talim's Soul Calibur 4 costume was a bit weird to me, she's a minor that might as well be wearing a bikini bottom. I don't have issues with teenage girls wearing bikinis in general, but it seems her costume 4 design looks like a way to show some extra skin without actually showing it (they're translucent pants). Then it gets worse in Soul Calibur 6. No one wears high-hip bikini bottoms unless they're going to the beach and she's meant to be a priestess, some level of conservativity would be appreciated in her design. It's like they're trying to show as much of her skin as possible without crossing into "child pornography" territory. I was already aware that's what they're doing in Soul Calibur II, but it's so much worse in the latest games.

I suspect that they kept Talim out of Soul Calibur 5 because they probably didn't know how to write her. She has a weak motive compared to other character's for her adventures and her relationship with other characters is not as strong. Other than that, the team probably didn't want to introduce another character which fans would make them develop over and over again because they already have a large roster of characters to design, program and animate.

I never thought that the fabulous, fierce women pushing back on gender ideology were naive or prone to fads

It's a mix, like any other movement. Though I honestly doubt majority of the gendercrotical population is here because they think it's trendy.

But can't these amazingly smart GC feminists figure out that the women of Iran have way bigger problems than being forced to wear fucking head scarves? US sanctions are crippling the lives, and often ending the lives, of ordinary Iranians. Females, as always, are disproportionately affected.

I honestly thought Gendercritical was specifically about the TRA movement, so it might not be that every gendercritical feminist has forgotten about the issues females in the third world face, it might be that it's just the scoping of the forums. Also, the new enemy that's closest to us in the first world has arrived as well, it decided to be "trans" and it's affecting the first world at a seemingly fast rate, so we're all instinctively concerned and unfortunately, we're forced to choose between focus on saving ourselves first or the people in the third world (just explaining the psychology).

I don't want males to "accidentally" brush his dick against me as he puts his stuff on the bench to get dressed at the pool (it hasn't happened yet, but it's going to happen when the changing rooms get mote crowded and we let males into the female rooms). I've been in some of the changing rooms and sometimes, other females and I are right next to each other, drying ourselves and getting dressed, anything poking about will be pretty concerning (from a sexual harrassment and STI viewpoint). Some of the description of the "eroticas", don't seem like eroticas to me, they seem more like someone detailing how they "transed" their child, which I find even more concerning (though, wording such as "he needs to be put in his place", bring some sort of hope that it's all fake and is an erotica, unfortunately wording like that does not restrict action), because it means it may have happened in real life. These authors must be investigated, they could be legit mothers who are trying to "trans" their children and they need to be stopped either through legal means or their communities outright telling them what they're doing is wrong and messed up. The genres of the novels aren't listed on any sites (even goodreads), which is very annoying (I suspect so it doesn't get flagged for child pornography).

I've met a handful (well, only on reddit) that are quite skilled at rhetoric and sophistry. In my opinion that does signify some degree or type of intelligence; it also signifies above-average Dark Triad traits, of which narcissism is one.

There are cases of some people who are actually smart, and some people just happen to sound smart because they are taught specifically how to think in certain ways for a specific subject. A more objective measure of intelligence would be to see how one adapts to the situation. A person can be taught how to be skilled in rhetoric and sophistry (a.k.a convince people of bullshit), but they can also be utterly incompetent in arguing objectivity.

Considering that TRA arguments revolve around such a mundane subject which people don't actually study, I'd say they hit a weak point in society and they're not good at rhetoric and sophistry, because we can all see right through their bullshit without the need to do a lot of research.

It also doesn't help that the TRA movement basically exists to provide cover for autogynephiles

It doesn't exist to "provide cover for" autogynephiles. What the TRA movement exist for is to provide another platform for a bunch of compassionate morons to look for "victims" within reach because they want to feel more heroic and simply volunteering to help people in third world countries is simply too much for them to switch for their comfortable first world lifestyle, aside from the gender deluded who think all of their problems can be solved if society supports their delusions. TIs are the new "it" oppressed group to cry about and what they cry about is peoples' rights to identify about whatever sex they are. I suspect majority of TRAs are sheltered millenials with very little issues in their life. Autogynephiles are probably enabled and are encouraged to think their fetish mean they're the opposite sex by TRAs, considering the ridiculous TRA line of logic about gender.

Definitely a flasher, whether he was staring at the naked daughter or not is a different story, not saying he is not, there's not much evidence of it (I would appreciate if the heading didn't have a clickbait title), but he's definitely getting off from every female looking at his penis and considering he didn't even remove himself after seeing a kid, makes this even worse. She is a TRA who actually brought this upon herself. She doesn't win any sympathies from me (the daughter is a different case, she would have to grow up in the world her mother has stupidly supported). Also those two "acivisty lesbians" that accompanied the male, shame on them.

Ugh, well he spread his legs, if the water is not too shallow it would be nice to stomp on his penis...though I don't want to catch STIs from it.

Beause we don't want to provide validation and make ourselves more vulnerable to assault, the issue is not just fulfilling autogynephile fantasies, it's also being made more vulnerable to something that is more able to overpower a female and assault her. Organisations are too cheap (or can't afford) to create separate stalls where a person can go into the same stall to shower and get dressed, so we're all being forced to share a public space to shower and to get dressed in the same space. I don't like sharing space with anyone, but the compromise I make with society is that if I have to share space with anyone, it would be with someone with the same sex as me and I hope they don't perve on me and is someone I can take down if they try to attack me. When I was a kid I had a female classmate watch me get dressed before, I did not like that even though we're both females and she kept on staring even though I told her not to (looking back, we were kids and it's not like every kid understands that doing this is intrinsically harmful like bullying, so I wonder if I was a bit harsh on her), now imagine if that was a full grown male.

At least religious people have a bit more logic to some aspects of their beliefs, for example "maybe there's an entity that did create earth" (I don't actually think there is that something, but I can't disprove it either, for all I know maybe earth came about from a giant organism's poop), but every aspect of the TI beliefs are illogical and are based off lack of self-awareness, misinformation and delusion (some being a reaction to trauma).

That is true. I just wonder if most of them know that having a fetish is not the same as feeling like "they're born in the wrong body", they're just turned on by the thought of having a different genitalia, because they seem to see it as evidence that their body does not match their genitalia.

I think Literotica would be more accurate.

One of their comments in one of the posts I linked, one of them said that he thought he enjoyed lesbian porn before realising he had vagina envy. Being horny is not the same as having some sort of genitalia envy, he's a autogynephile.

You're right. Everybody here is saying that trans bodies and brains don't exist.

The point is that transgenderism is basically an unhealthy way of covering up and avoiding dealing with underlying mental health issues, or worse, a way to justify forcing others to engage with them in public autogynephilia and exhibitionism fetishes.

Transgenderism is a group of beliefs that state trans bodies and minds exist (e.g. plainly believing you are meant to be the opposite sex, hijra, two spirit). It doesn't have a point.

How it's used is a different thing (e.g. attention seeking, covering up mental health issues, autogynephelia).

A character which has all genders and no genders at once by TheOnyxGoddess in GenderCritical

I mean, elves in general have been portayed often as being androgynous.

You're right, but in Zelda they made sure the Hylians aren't very androgynous.

They're in kind of in a shitty position. The ones who medically transitioned as kind of the old wave of transsexuality are seeing their identities ruined by a far more aggressive and misogynistic takeover.

I doubt it considering that TRAs are more common these days and organisations are now catering to these crazy people. You are right that they would have a strong motive for perpetuating a delusion.

And some of them have been transitioned and so invested in it that it's not as if they can suddenly come to grips with detransitioning...

That's their problem, it's not relevant to the fact that they are cherry picking science, reinforcing sexist stereotypes and are misleading vulnerable individuals to adopt delusional beliefs.

autogynephiles as a convenient excuse to engage in their fetish and force people to condone it publicly.

There're people who genuinely believe that their spirit is that of the opposite sex, there are weird fetishists, there are people who are both. I'm not interested in separating them, because they're all forcing society to perpetuate a delusion regardless if they believe in it or not and TRA policies are built on the assumption that trans bodies are a real thing.

Transgenderism is essentially saying the only way to address dysphoria is to live in denial and ask society to assist in that denialism.

Transgenderism is a belief which stems from sexism. Nothing less, nothing more. They are using transgenderism to tell themselves they are "oppressed victims" and to get attention. Crazy people (both females and males) believe this B.S and the bonus advantages for TiMs just happens to be access to rape shelters and sports. I suspect it's also used as a lazy diagnosis like ADHD if the psychologist can't be bothered to put in the work to properly diagnose the patient.

You're right, it's "Madness 101".

I will name "Neuraxpharm" as possibly one of them (emphasis on "possibly", they funded TI supporting research on brain comparisons).

I was asking if it was a good idea to post TI supporting study (its purpose is to support TIs) and start a discussion about it (that is, scrutinise it so everyone is aware of the research they keep basing their delusions on and are probably going to start citing if they haven't done so already). I might start a blog, but I honestly think I don't have much to write about other than just talking about how the issues of research is that it's taking a perception of reality and merging it with biology (and I'm not even sure if I'm wording that right).

I have nothing against TiMs who claim to be GC allies

I'm surprised, they're the antithesis of gendercritical (no biggie, each to their own).
