No, leave them there. Include the men too. There are some gendercritical males who disagree with this nonsense and the more you tunnel your focus purely on how much it affects women, the more males will believe that this problem affects women only (it doesn't, it affects them too). Try promoting the movement to both females and males. There was a boy who was forced to transition (look up David Reimer) and a girl who transitioned because the medical practitioners were too woke to figure out it's just a little girl who does not fit the stereotype of a girl (Keira Bell), find more and use those as examples.

I really hate how there seems to be no one in the arts which speak out against this, aside from J.K Rowling. I hate that the art culture promotes adoption of these so-called "progressive" views because art culture preaches "freedom of thought" but neglect to encourage "critically analyse thought". I hope we can abandon the "T". It was originally "LGB" and that acronym rolls off the tongue better. The acronym was originally meant to represent non-heteros regardless of their hobbies and their beliefs. If we are are to include every single category, let's start adding races to the acronym too, it's redundant, the acronym doesn't include nor exclude anyone.

Hell, that acronym is used to identify the group of people and a way to identify communities and identify movements (by giving them a name) to stop the oppression of LGB people and for others to communicate they're not heterosexual. So the need to "include" as much different minorities in the acronym is not even relevant and can detract the original focus of the issues. Anyone can fight for LGB rights, hetero or not. It's like fighting for animal rights, you don't need to create an alphabet acronym to represent every single non-human creature nor do you need to be one. I feel included regardless whether if I'm a homosexual or not.

I'm currently cautious about going "oh this is sane" in case I find some false logic in that post. I haven't yet. The guy sounds like he just wants to live as a woman (which sounds so stereotypical, and yet there's some truth to it), and he has dysphoria and knows that men will never be women and he seems to respect basic human biology. If I ever met him in real life he'd probably be that one trans I'd be happy to be friends with. He just wants to look feminine, be regarded as a female and knows he never will be. I found the same comment you found on reddit too. This guy knows he has a mental illness, but knows denying reality isn't going to solve anything, so he's transitioning while aware that he's still a man who just wants to have female features and be socially recognised as a "she". I'm somewhat happy to support that, but still a tad offended by his want to be a woman and be socially recognised as one, but if it's a case with dysphoria where you really want to distance yourself from your own body, it can help to transition.

I am curious though would he still want to be socially and legally recognised as a woman in Saudi Arabia or in other female oppressing countries? Would he feel fine being called a "he" after his transition? (I don't plan to ask him, I'm just expressing my thoughts on this type of person).

Taking a stand: I told my gynecologist to take "transgender" off of sex options by BEB in GenderCritical

[–]TheOnyxGoddess 10 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Then, when I got to see the gynecologist, who was the best I've seen yet, I started my gender critical spiel.

I began with the new patient form I'd filled out, asking her whether she really considered biological sex changeable. She said the office had put the option of claiming transgender on the form to be considerate of transgenders. I attempted to explain why normalizing the idea that men could identify into womanhood was so dangerous for women.

Afterwards, I specifically talked about the dangers of girls being sucked into the transgender craze, thinking that she, as a gynecologist, has probably noticed.

She was obviously very intelligent, and listened for a bit, but the minute I mentioned that the Biden administration was behind the changes in law, she shut off, snapped that the office was "free of politics" and then continued with the examination as if I hadn't said anything at all.

I'm going to be honest with you, it's pretty reasonable for her to shut you down there. Her talking about politics can get her more in trouble as it's not related to medicine and it's purely political. She can explain why there're stupid changes to forms, and listen to you talk about the gender delusions, but the longer you talk, the more she has to listen and try to refrain from stating her opinion which can affect how she does her job (or if she can keep her job or not if it gets out that she has an unpopular opinion about any party). She may not even be in any position to afford a potential lost or attack by stating her opinion unlike other people (e.g. Toronto University's professor Jordan Peterson).

By the looks of your post, your conversation with her seems largely one-sided with you talking and her just listening. She probably tried to refrain from stating her thoughts as that could put her in a "bias" frame and can cause some issues with the job. This issue is not unique to the medical industry, when you're working in customer service, you can't openly state your political, religious thoughts lest you are fine with losing your job.

From what I understand medical pratcitioners and medical companies are trying to take the path of least resistance because they want to get their job done, they're after money. It doesn't really indicate if your gynecologist is a GenderCritical, a TRA or support Biden.

Although if it's their personal private practice that they own and not part of a larger company, then I would suspect they are TRA while trying to look politically neutral (though they could easily have GenderCritical views, but care more about money than trying to actively counter the TRA delusion). If they're part of a larger company and are simply employed there by someone else, then you don't really know. Go for a practice which is privately owned and run by a medical practitioner who doesn't have those stupid things on their forms if you can, less likely those that don't follow popular social trends are more likely to not care or support TRA stuff. You don't actually know their beliefs unless they state their beliefs to you outside of the professional environment.

Gender Criticals have decided to use "they/them" as an insult for people they don't deem worthy of being called "she/her" and suddenly they understand exactly how to construct sentences with a gender neutral pronoun.

They're so up their own ass in their victimhood mentality to lack the cognitive ability to figure out that we use "they" and "them" because they are collective words used by the speaker to address a group of people, not gender-sensitive snowflake individuals. I've been addressing unknown individuals with "he" because that was the Old English gender neutral word if you don't know the individual's sex. No one here is pandering to them, we are all using proper English and they are just looking to be offended by any little thing. Drama queens.

My peak was from way before the gender delusion became mainstream movement, because I wasn't a stupidly bias female who took the brain scans as conclusive evidence that there's "female" or "male" brain structure. Research as far as I know hasn't considered what causes the brain to develop structures that's stereotypically seen in humans and have not tracked the development of the brain structures stereotypically seen in female and male humans from day of birth to adulthood (and I came up with this thought without actually studying university level biology, watching YouTube nor discussing about this on reddit, in my early 20s) and I also knew since I was a late teen how bullcrap this whole "born in the wrong body" mentality (I never paid attention to this stupidity and lunacy until I began using Tumblr around that age).

I was raised in a family where I have to do a lot of self-reflection, value objectivity over subjectivity and being a lonely independent kid makes for a lot of personal conversations with myself (private thinking time which comes as a form of me talking to myself in my mind and feeling like I am actually talking to someone, which is a nice feeling to have and allowed me to accept my solitude throughout my life) and the ability to do basic research helps.

It would be nice to call it common sense, but considering how many people don't understand basic biology (and even neuroscientists seem to fail at maintaining non-bias in their research as you can tell by the language they used in their notes) people in general tend to heavily weigh feelings over facts, it doesn't seem so. Even I wasn't so sure at the start, hence why I spent so much time contemplating about my current knowledge and beliefs on how gender identity should apply to society and how it's already being applied to society (e.g. "female" is a term for the sex who reproduces in all animals, "girl" and "woman" are terms for female humans at different stages of their life).

No, there's been a rise of acceptance of the attitudes to be identified as something else. It just happens to be that anime is popular, the western world has gotten a lot more accepting and less judgemental of diverse ideas and hobbies (and that empowers the ill-educated and bias people to explore ideas and accept them and express them without scrutiny). It just looks like anime has inspired a bunch of people to be trans, if people weren't so accepting of "weirdoes" this wouldn't happen and by your logic, Japanese female and male cultural attitudes towards gender and sexuality should be more "progressive" than the west and we should be seeing more males in Japan identifying and campaigning for trans rights much earlier than the west considering the Yaoi and Hentai they consume is for them. For them to be obsessive and crazy in the first place, they've got to have that type of personality and anime just happens to be their favourite. Yaoi and Hentai has always been popular so there's no "rise", it's always been there and always been extremely depraved or incorporated into more innocent genres (e.g. Kyou Kara Maou) way before the trans movement and that's during the golden age of pirating anime series on the internet (before legal stream sites and many years before the massive purge of content). I never said it was exclusive to males.

What male non conformity does gc generally like? There are always large sections of gc who don't like the reality of male gnc behaviour.

You're going to have to show me this, because from what I've seen they care more about deluded insecure creepy males then a bunch of non-deluded ones who are feminine cross-dressers who like to infiltrate women only spaces and can see through the TRA bullshit. I've read a lot of their reddit pages and I have been on their saidit from the very start. I interact with fellow GC there. I don't agree nor disagree that there're GC who hate feminine males, but I have yet to see a lot or any posts that reflects the attitudes GC as a whole, have about feminine males. I haven't seen a single post where someone who has held an account and have been a regular GC visitor who has expressed this type of sentiment there before. GC target males who try to make everyone else accept their delusions, penalise them for not using their pronoun choice of the day (because no one cares and they can see it's a male), request or demand special treatment and want to invade female spaces. Cross-dressers don't do any of that, in case you're wondering and if they did, they're not cross-dressing, they're trying to "be a woman". Speaking of which, if you're going to do performative work as some gender stereotype at the workplace, and it's not part of your job and you're using that to invade sex specific spaces you're normally prohibited from entering, then you're a creep and you deserve to be fired. If you're just cross-dressing in work appropriate attire, follow the rules and don't ask for special treatment, no one cares. I'm very curious about your claim.

At most, I have seen a lot that just blatantly hate the male race in general.

Well sure I get the idea. But it that still doesn't get around the gnc issue. There isn't actually something being masculinity or femininity. It's a binary and spectrum at best.

Right it's dynamic and emergent. Almost like people naturally want to do "gender." It doesn't go away. Aren't gnc people doing "gender" as well? The more gnc they are the more they are doing "gender."

You seem to be mixing up "gender" with "gender stereotype". "Gender" is either of the two sexes (male and female) and was used as an alternative to "sex" (as that can reference sexual intercourse), "gender stereotype" as I've said before, it is just something observed in a group population and in the context about gender non-conformity, to identify and communicate a diversion from the stereotype. GNC people aren't doing "gender", "gender" is not performative, it's just "gender". GNC aren't "performing" anything, they just happen to not align with many of their own gender's stereotypes and care very little about gender stereotypes. What is "performative" are drag performances, deliberate, exaggeration of gender stereotypes performed for entertainment by the artist. You can say people are living up to their respective stereotypes of their OWN gender, there's no governing body to establish this, but from what I gather as a rule is if you don't act the same, dress the same as your respective gender stereotype, you're not conforming to the stereotype and therefore would be more accurately described as non-conforming.

Males are biologically stronger, they won the biological arms race before people started developing complex civilisations, the culture to commit what we would consider to be crimes today, was fostered and carried over and exhibited in those civilisations, of course there's going to be some level of consistency. We can also say that maybe males have more of a biological impulsive need to be assholes and to win Darwin Awards, but honestly, that seems more nurture than nature. We humans don't actually have the need to gender, we just happen to observe and noticed a pattern and sorted that information.

I wouldn't call it "cross conformity", originally we used "non-conformity" to describe if we don't match our respective gender's stereotype and by extension, how society percieves the individual. It makes zero sense to create another terminology to basically say "you share features of something in another category", much similar to non-binary and agender existing as a list of valid genders.

We can't change our genders (e.g. woman, man), but our gender stereotypes can be changed (how we see women and men).

Like, you use men you'd want to date as an example, but are "feminine/masculine" referring to body type? Or clothing styles (and how feminine/masculine?)

You answered your own question with your own question right there. How I describe a male I want to date or myself is context dependent.

And you shouldn't be offended at it because...? It's cool to "not care" about misogyny?

I assume you've never studied a non-germanic language and you're plain ignorant in understanding foreign language structure. Some Asian languages have a rule about how you address yourself depending on your sex (e.g. in Japanese, you're either allowed to say "watashi" or "boku" depending on the sex when speaking formally). To not follow these language rules would be utter disrespect to the culture and actually make things harder to communicate with other users of their respective languages across different generations (to people from current to past generations). They're just rules for people to address themselves or to address other topics, nothing more, nothing less. Should I be offended that in Italian there are feminine and masculine nouns too? I don't know the purpose of the distinction, but by some feminist logic, I should be offended and change some ancient rule in speaking.

Some of them maybe are borne out of sexism, but that does not mean the user is going to be sexist because of them. You're not going to fix anything by trying to change the language. It's like how people get offended when you call a female police officer "policeman" thinking that changes anything, but majority of policemen are male and if you want to knock it out of the local culture's psyche that "policemen = male" then you should educate the populace by showing that there are female police who can do the job. What many feminists do not understand that if they force a change in language, they're ironically making people focus on the sex of the person by labelling them differently. I don't need people to remember I'm a police "woman" if I'm working as a police officer, I need them to remember I'm a "policeman" (and "policeman" is much faster to say than "policewoman") who's job is to enforce the law and should be treated like any other police officer.

If there's anything I care about, it's the cultural attitudes and the methodology to counter them, because some of them ironically creates a different way for people to focus on the sex of the person and by putting that level of focus on the worker, it detracts from the original purpose of the worker, they're there to do a job, not to date, not to be some organisation's sign of virtue, but to work and get the job done properly. It's no different from TRAs forcing people to use their made up pronouns and keep saying how they just want "equality".

I just use those terms to communicate how I act and what I like, but it's just that nothing more, nothing less, just a way to communicate some current level of stereotype I meet based off today's society's standards. For example I'm more feminine if I like blue many years ago, I'm now considered more masculine if I like blue and I would describe myself as such, these are not real examples, but they're just an example of how I would describe myself or someone else. Another example is if I want to communicate the type of male I want to date, it would be one that is not too masculine but doesn't look too feminine either based off today's society's standards (which is way faster than going through a long list of descriptions). At the end of the day, they're as abstract as having a name. I use these old "sexist" words to convey some sort of concept, not the words themselves as representative of someone's gender. I really don't care if they're sexist or not, if I start caring about that then I should start getting offended about the chinese character for the word "traitor" using the character for "female" and that some languages have a separate female and male way the speaker should use to address themselves with.

They're BOTH still big problems. None of what you said doesn't change the fact TiFs are also perpetuating this bullshit. I was disappointed that we're not talking about them more. They're part of the reason of why people feel that being trans is a valid thing. If one group sees one of them do it, then the other group thinks it's valid (TiMs seeing TiFs transitioning will feel that "hey it's not just those as a male). Logically if we're going to help women, we should be countering gender stereotype ideology on BOTH SIDES as they're both validating each other's delusons of "being in the wrong body". If only the males are doing this, shouldn't be as a big if a problem, but I'm seeing females (and one of them who I know in real life outright demands on their tumblr strangers should follow their made up pronouns, but not their close family and friends) doing this and validating the ideology. If it's only one group then we can all say "Yeah typical males, being drama queens" and it'll be much easier to argue that TiMs are truly deluded.

TRAs aren't aware that trans rights would not have been possible had it not for women actually elevating the status of females in society. No man would actually want to be a "woman" full-time if the suffragettes hadn't done anything. I'm not even sure if the rights of females to be recognised as men would also be possible since back then, since males rarely value the opinions of a woman.

I wish the old debate sub hadn't been banned because there was plenty more chat there.

But really it's not difficult to find.

I asked them what they thought of /r/crossdressing and the disapproved of it.

It's not all about the trans identifying people.

The rejection of crossdressers, drag and femininity in men by sections of feminists was there before the modern trans politics was there.

Meghan Murphy was complaining about Harry Styles in a dress only recently

I assume the mods hate cross dressers and the lack of complaints is from people not caring, but if that's your only evidence, that's friggin weak. About what they think about cross dresser sub? I'm going to have to see that for myself. Much like many people of many different ideologies you're going to get many within the same group disagree with each other, but from what I've seen tgey don't hate feminine men, but really trans, only a rare few expressed haye for drag. You're original claim was hating "gnc men", that's pretty general, cross dressing is specific. Males can be feminine without cross dressing (look up Kai Decadence)

We, on all sides, in English, tend to mix up what we mean when we say gender. What it means, for everyone, depends on the context.

Why do you think I'm being specific? It's to ensure that you get your facts straight and you know what I'm talking about in the correct context. It's to reduce ambiguities.

You mean there is a possibility that a good chunk of gc hate femininity in men?

Don't put words in my mouth, I was not stating an opinion, I was stating my absent stance on the subject, I can't have a black and white opinion on something that is almost never brought up on the thread and is rarely conveyed in the comment sections overall.

How? How have they escaped gender?

Read what is "gender" and what is "gender stereotype". I never claimed anyone escaped "gender", that's you putting words in my mouth again.

I said this before, many people just don't live up to "gender stereotypes".

Though stereotype is a pejorative word implying it's something people should be.

Correction: implying it's something people THINK people should be.

So is a butch biker woman a deliberate exaggeration norms?

I don't speak for hypothetical lesbians, I speak for myself and other people like me, we just do whatever we want, we don't actually think about "oh I want to look more like a male", no we think "I want to look cool, not frilly or graceful". You seem to be mixing up personality for social statements. Do you cross dress to try to perform woman? Do you cross dress just to "feel" feminine? Or do you just do it because it's fun? Depending on your answer, you're either doing it because you just like that kind of fashion or because it's you're trying to be a woman. They're not mutually exclusive but if you are doing it at any level just to resemble whatever society consider's feminine and change your behaviour once you make yourself look whatever society's version of a feminine woman, then you're a deliberate exaggeration of gender stereotypes.

But no one, outside radical feminism, thinks they have escaped gender norms.

Jesus why do you keep using the word "escape"? it's like you feel or you think everyone else feels it's a prison, it's not, it's just a concept defined by observations of the observer.

radical feminism, thinks they have escaped gender norms. Most people thinking they are doing a version of masculinity.

Keyword, "radical" feminism, not everyone is a radical feminist there, I'm not a radical feminist so I don't know what most of their views are aside from being anti-porn, anti-prostitution and anti-trans.

Including men, what would that look like? Masculine men.

At this point, you seem to not understand what is gender non-conforming if you had to ask me that and in that way.

You're going to find that those people are the people outright denying the existence of gender stereotypes. They are right in the sense that it's just a concept, made up by humans needing to categorise things and at the end of the day, we're all humans, but they are wrong in thinking that these words and made up concepts, contribute no value in how we should universally articulate and analyse the group's behaviour, attitudes and their rationale.

They don't so much blame "feminity", (as far as I have seen so far) but "toxic masculinity". They blame the misogynistic system set up by males that has mainly oppressed women into lesser roles throughout different periods of time and essentially made women dependent on males and fostered a culture of multilevel abuse and exploitation (from outright where we can all see it or something subtle that it's hard to see the clear line) of women that is continuing into today's psyche (e.g. women are still percieved as being incapable of technical skills such as programming, women are expected to think about how to manage finances and maintain the house when their husbands should be doing the exact same thing as well). They think that males today are perpetuating weaker, dependent attitudes to define femininty, what they don't understand that some women are also encouraging it themselves and often that's without an intentional push from males (some males express they like weaker women, some express they like stronger women and the onky ones who care are stupid). However, I'm saying this in a first-world western country perspective, you go to a backwater third world country and you are more likely to get something a bit more extreme where some societies care about treating girls and women as properties and denying their right to get the same opportunities as the males which seek to have a free living sex doll, housekeeper and babymaker, but no matter, it doesn't invalidate the observations of the behaviours, perspectives, beliefs and interactions females and males have amongst with themselves and with each other (and yes, that can be worded, much shorter, by using the words "femininty" and "masculinity").

You see how I use those sexist words they hate right? If those words didn't exist then it would be harder to identify and communicate specific gender issues to people. Now what many do not see is that, just because those words, spoken in a sociological analysis context exist, it doesn't mean we are as bound by a bunch of labels as they think and need to learn to stop being sensitive if we're still calling female police officers "policeman".

I understand I veered off a bit, but I'm trying to explain it's not masculinity they want and nor do they hate femininity as they claim, as they're expressing hate, but it's the fact they hate the gender stereotypes that existed as a result of male oppression and are still existing in many societies psyche, however, they don't seem to realise that slowly, these stereotypes people percieve impact them a lot less than they think and they are slowly changing for the better. There's some validity to their claim, but they're also socially tone-death about communication and ignorant about human thought processess and seek to pick a battle with how humans communicate that makes the feminism movement look like a joke (e.g. restructuring an entire language which has words that are categorised as "feminine" and "masculine" thinking that will make massive impact in improving gender equality).

I don't know where you get the whole "male non conformity is bad.", but GC just hate that the non-conformity is being used as the basis for transition and have stated a couple of times that transwomen explanations are not just stupid, but also deluded, sexist and is also pseudoscience. The fact the trans movement is using the whole "I like this typical gender stereotype hobby" or "I act like this particular gender stereotype" destroys one of the aims of the feminist movement, to make society see past the person's sex and to give them a chance and treat them with equality and equity.

But gender non conformity always selects gender norms.

Gender norms is whatever that is observed in the society and established by what the majority of target study groups profile (e.g. majority of females sew and many of them like sewing, not many males sew and a lot don't like sewing) Gender non-conformity is to describe a person's diversion fron the gender stereotypical profile of observed behaviours in their respective local culture. It does not "select", it does not have a will of its own, for it is a concept and a word a person would use to describe someone in relation to their own society. It is as dynamic as gender-norms and is used to communicate what the user thinks and want to say.

Because that is the one of the tangible things they can hinge their arguments on. The entire thing is sexist and abstract as soon as you realise that what makes a personality "feminine" or "masculine" is context dependent (e.g. time period, local culture). Then they try to invade science, and try to interpret research on human brain structures (which change over time due to hormones, stress etc.) as evidence there's a distinct female and male brain (as shown in small sample sizes those papers) to try to legitimise their claims.

I do think gc generally wants rigid gender norms.

No, we don't. As you can tell majority of us love mocking TRAs gender stereotype posts and we have a few rabid radicals who are trying to erase a concept that came about from basic pattern recognition from people just observing their local culture. Gendercriticals, just hate the reasoning behind the trans movement and majority of us know the difference between "correlation" of human physiology to sex and not "causation". In other words, we know there's no "female" or "male" brain or special sex-based biological network in a person's body which makes the brain and the body argue whatever sex they are and therefore determine that you would want to wear a dress and high heels.

[–]TheOnyxGoddess 6 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

If you read this person's other posts, you'll know their perception of reality is heavily laced with self-victimisation and sociological inferences that "femininty" and "masculinity" are created by the patriarchy, the problem with that is those concepts are made to describe a series of patterns exhibited by society at the time (e.g most girls playing with dolls, not many boys play with dolls = dolls are a girl thing) and these patterns are separated into categories "feminine" and "masculine" in the observer's respective culture. It doesn't matter if it's because women are oppressed or not (analysis of this would be a separate topic, this is about observing society's patterns and behaviours in groups), the pattern is going to be there and observed as such and as society changes, what is feminine or masculine also changes, in other words, femininty and masculinity is dynamic. "Gender" cannot be "removed", it's just a dynamic category. The person you are arguing with is also sexist towards women, the group of women it's trying to support the rights of.

I'm at this point ready to say this person is a troll or some nutter who thinks that it has won an argument when a person stops posting. His logic has a lot more holes than a badly written plot

What you said reminds me of a couple of times males used rape to intimidate me back in highschool and one of the times I stood up for myself by implying he was too into fucking males to see that threat through and I got called homophobic over it (all I did was ask him to lower his voice because I was studying and he feels the need to make a rape threat). I honestly do not care, respect is a two-way street and if you're going to be an asshole, then I'm going to be an asshole, I'm not going to be politically correct if someone picks a fight. I only recieved one backlash about being "homophobic" and that was from a bully who I call "bitchrice", based off her name (she was a bully way before that happened so I don't think she was social justice rights motivated) and she quickly walked away before I could say anything, like a bitch running off with her tail between her legs. I'm happy I stood up for myself, because when those things happen, there's really no room for me to do anything except to just take it and the extra thing, I annoyed another bully who I call "bitchrice" in doing so, but that's another story. I suspect it's because I wore a longer skirt and people think "Oh she hates sex" (I have zero interest in sex, I don't hate it), and I'm pretty sure it's me they hate because I'm just strange enough for people to pick me to bully but not so strange to put people off (pretty sure they left the conservative Muslim girl alone, since she told me that the last time she was bullied, it was before she was a tween).

Disclaimer: I'm not homophobic (I couldn't carless about homosexuals as much as other groups of people), I was just trying to stand up to a misogynistic asshole who feels threatening rape is appropriate and made him feel emasculated by the idea of being unable to rape a girl because I implied he's a homo and could not even if he wanted (not my problem, his problem if he feels that way).

I had a feeling that me being an early millenial and him being a later millenial probably had an impact on what we've witnessed. I remember the "T" never ever being included in movements until later on.

TRAs like to claim that "intersex people are perfectly healthy and happy". It's nice to confirm this is not always true and they were talking out of their ass. They stated to this person who said it's an awful condition, but I personally think that the person they were replying to just knew it was not a good condition and not simply "how" it was a bad condition because it would be pretty easy to argue how it's a developmental disorder (not to mention, they were generalising a group of sex development disorder) if you knew the impacts of having an extra chromosome.

Note: Need to clarify for people who can't read and then act like a typical offended sjw over terminology, I wasn't part of the argument. I knew already there are different types of intersex conditions (I'm using that word for simplicity sake), the people who are arguing may be aware of the same thing too and I'm someone who is describing their argument to explain why I made the post.

I don't think we should show sympathy for either, they're both damaging. They're both responsible for this mass trans-entitlement and putting on the "know my pronoun" badge to force people to call them whatever they want, and that's without being prodded by males. If a TiF or TiM want to use basic logic to figure out they were scammed into some ideology, they can do so without our sympathies and with cold hard logic being smacked into their faces. The TiF I knew in real life was trying to study Bachelor of psychology and majoring in gender studies and go into clinic psychology, guess where that is going? (Hint: She believes in made up pronouns and deliberately tries to interpret ancient literature as having a trans twist, such as the Ballad of Mulan). Before she went TiF, she was an anti-white lesbian feminist, who seems to dislike white males, but hey, she's asian so she probably feels she thinks it's fine to claim to be another gender as long as she can be the non-white version of it.

I felt a bit disgusted that he said what he said. You don't masturbate in a "feminine" way, you just masturbate. Sex is done with one person being dominant and the other being submissive in their positions and it switches between partners and sometimes it's neither (I don't think missionary on top alone is dominant nor submissive), I'm not talking about BDSM, I'm just describing the non-BDSM behaviour of some of the positions I've seen. Also he doesn't understand the purposes of the mechanisms behind the sex positions and actions (e.g. legs in the air is to increase penetration into the vagina, rubbing boob is part of foreplay and is no different from a woman massaging the man's chest during sex). I wonder if it's a troll looking to get an infamous mention here.

Because of the concept of "family". They'd probably condemn males who do the same thing, but if it's their own family, it's a different story. My life experiences has made me prefer "friends" over "family", at least they're more likely to respect your boundaries. How ironic that I would likely end up seeing "good friends" as "family". I prefer to be treated like a "good friend" than "family. I'm not so sure what you mean by "love men so much", but I'm guessing you're talking about sexuality and I'm saying this saying this in case you are, you can still be a male hater while being straight, at least your dating standard is going to be pretty high. You're a misandrist if the thought of "male" brings up some pretty violent feelings you want to commit against a male, not out of justice, but anger and sadism.

Thoughts on Intersex People by [deleted] in GenderCritical

Thanks for replying, I already established that someone with a Y chromosome would be male no matter what (as it's only males with a Y chromosome) and that the law should not change to cater to such a tiny minority, but lately that feels like a weak argument in my head and I began wondering if maybe I haven't done enough research to properly argue, which seems downright concerning. I tried looking up the characteristics of intersex people because people say "they share the caracteristics of both sex", the best I get is they're either sterile, or their secondary sexual characteristics do not work, or they have an incidents where they are developing those secondary characteristics have begun functioning when they hit puberty (though, that part was anecdotal, I haven't managed to find something which disproves those incidents), which made me think I really got to question my understanding of human physiology because I'm worried that I have made some incorrect assumption (it seems like my assumptions are confirmed to be correct and I'm on the right track).

I never thought that the fabulous, fierce women pushing back on gender ideology were naive or prone to fads

It's a mix, like any other movement. Though I honestly doubt majority of the gendercrotical population is here because they think it's trendy.

But can't these amazingly smart GC feminists figure out that the women of Iran have way bigger problems than being forced to wear fucking head scarves? US sanctions are crippling the lives, and often ending the lives, of ordinary Iranians. Females, as always, are disproportionately affected.

I honestly thought Gendercritical was specifically about the TRA movement, so it might not be that every gendercritical feminist has forgotten about the issues females in the third world face, it might be that it's just the scoping of the forums. Also, the new enemy that's closest to us in the first world has arrived as well, it decided to be "trans" and it's affecting the first world at a seemingly fast rate, so we're all instinctively concerned and unfortunately, we're forced to choose between focus on saving ourselves first or the people in the third world (just explaining the psychology).

Some of the description of the "eroticas", don't seem like eroticas to me, they seem more like someone detailing how they "transed" their child, which I find even more concerning (though, wording such as "he needs to be put in his place", bring some sort of hope that it's all fake and is an erotica, unfortunately wording like that does not restrict action), because it means it may have happened in real life. These authors must be investigated, they could be legit mothers who are trying to "trans" their children and they need to be stopped either through legal means or their communities outright telling them what they're doing is wrong and messed up. The genres of the novels aren't listed on any sites (even goodreads), which is very annoying (I suspect so it doesn't get flagged for child pornography).

They spoke to this person about covering up but they refused

Definitely a flasher, whether he was staring at the naked daughter or not is a different story, not saying he is not, there's not much evidence of it (I would appreciate if the heading didn't have a clickbait title), but he's definitely getting off from every female looking at his penis and considering he didn't even remove himself after seeing a kid, makes this even worse. She is a TRA who actually brought this upon herself. She doesn't win any sympathies from me (the daughter is a different case, she would have to grow up in the world her mother has stupidly supported). Also those two "acivisty lesbians" that accompanied the male, shame on them.

Ugh, well he spread his legs, if the water is not too shallow it would be nice to stomp on his penis...though I don't want to catch STIs from it.

They seem to be under the impression that just because they studied and passed higher level biology, their delusions are valid and biology teaches transgender exists. I'm willing to bet that's their interpretation and not something their course actually taught, though with what is going on today, I'm not surprised if a few courses actually state outright transgenders exist but even if they did, they wouldn't exactly structure their tests to mainly focus on a relatively new field if even at all.

Unless I misunderstood this research, it tests for a link between testosterone levels and the child's face masculinisaton, as in the testosterone levels already existing, not the effects of injecting testosterone during pre-conception or gestation period. They got the blood from the umbilical cords and measured the testosterone level instead and compared the subject's face.

This is the data they collected related to the hypothesis:

(d) Adult testosterone and adult facial morphology

Blood samples in adulthood were available for 85 males. Pearson correlations presented in table 1 revealed no statistically significant relationship between testosterone correlations in these samples and facial gender scores (r = 0.01, p = 0.93) or fWHR (r = −0.01, n = 0.92). Additional analyses revealed a weak, but statistically significant association between umbilical cord BioT levels and adult testosterone concentrations (r = 0.23, p = 0.04). However, there was no statistically relationship between adult testosterone concentrations and adult 2D : 4D ratio on the left (r = 0.06, p = 0.63) and right hand (r = 0.07, p = 0.57).

This is what I get from reading their discussion: They noted there might be some evidence. They also mention their research contributes to other studies (e.g. the link between prenatal exposure to increased levels of testosterone and autism)

Actually some GC people will call TiMs and TiFs "they"

They're a minority. Majority of Gendercriticals use the correct terminology.

Speaking of Old English, we really need to start calling men "weremen" again and allow "men" to be gender-neutral

I honestly don't like that because the term sounds awesome and I don't like calling the male race "weremen" (sounds almost like saying werewolf and it makes them sound sort of cool, but really, that's just my personal view of how it sounds). From a pragmatic viewpoint, it's well ingrained in society's consciousness "men" refers to males and can also refer to humans in general depending on the context (much like "he" is also gender neutral). I never came across "weremen" until today but have encountered "he" in more recent years (slightly before the TRA movement gained more traction) so I think that would be more recent in the English speaker's psyche. I really don't see the point of changing our English language at all especially if we're living in a globalised world and the language is so widespread and taught around the world.

It's your body. That's you time. There's not really anything gross about touching your own boobs during that. It's just being more aware of all the parts, mindfulness

Yes, someone else here who understands!

This is insanely awkward to explain.

Just assume we're all mature adults here (you don't have a choice, there's no age restriction here and age restriction does not work against false age claims) it's not awkward, no one is going to call the police on you. I will never understand why people get so bashful about explaining aspects of sex to adults and teenagers, just de-personalise and be straightforward without hidden meanings and analogies. I hope if there are any teens in this thread, they read the comments with understanding that touching themselves is normal and there's nothing uniquely "feminine" nor "masculine" and there're only "female" and "male" body parts.
