Yes, he's going to change it by making working families pay higher taxes to pay for snowflakes to go to college to get degrees in the same stupid shit they're getting them in now and complaining they can't get jobs when they get out. Everyone should take a little personal responsibility and pay for their own college degree since they will be the ones getting the paycheck for the job the degree affords.

This is total propaganda and brainwashing made to push the agenda that straight men are scary and can't be trusted. I've enjoyed the company of many male friends throughout my life with no sex and had no trouble at all.

Exposure to fluoride in drinking water leads to an average of 7 point drop in IQ scores by useless_aether in Health

You may be interested in this from The Scientific World Journal

The review by the National Research Council in the USA for the Environmental Protection Agency which took a weight of evidence approach to examining toxicological and physiological effects of fluoride on water [49]. This review identified a number of potential and established adverse effects including cognitive impairment, hypothyroidism, dental and skeletal fluorosis, enzyme and electrolyte derangement, and cancer [49].

In a meta-analysis of 27 mostly China-based studies on fluoride and neurotoxicity, researchers from Harvard School of Public Health and China Medical University in Shenyang found strong indications that fluoride may adversely affect cognitive development in children [50]. All but one study suggested that high fluoride content in water may negatively affect cognitive development. The average loss in intelligence quotient (IQ) was reported as a standardized weighted mean difference of 0.45, which would be approximately equivalent to seven IQ points for commonly used IQ scores with a standard deviation of 15 [50]. While fluoride's effect on IQ in this meta-analysis did not reach statistical significance, the combined effect at population level is remarkable. A particular concern of the NRC committee was the impact of ingested fluoride on the thyroid gland [49]. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3956646/

As it should be. Dr's shouldn't be paid if they can't Make you well.

Another important notion of Chinese Medicine is the prevention of disease and maintenance of health. Historically, a Chinese Medicine doctor was paid a retainer to keep their patients healthy. If a patient became sick, the doctor would not be paid until the patient’s health returned. In a similar vein, a doctor that resorted to surgery was considered an inferior doctor. If he/she did their job well and helped their clients stay healthy, there would be no need to perform surgery. https://xhistoryunveiledx.wordpress.com/2014/10/13/doctors-paying-patients-in-ancient-china/

Some things count as mainstream and others don't depending on whether they agree or disagree with them. I'm not saying you use it like that, but it's probably a term to either avoid or clarify each time you use it.

That is again false information. Your definition is just a definition that you made up. It is not the true definition of mainstream media as per the dictionary so why would anyone need to clarify each time they use it? You are the one using a made-up definition so I can see where you may need to clarify.

As for the pyramid of debate. You posted an untrue made up definition of mainstream media. Therefore YOU are wrong. You can THINK I'm wrong all day long, that doesn't change the fact that you indeed are wrong and posted made up information. If I am wrong, please, by all means, link the dictionary source of your definition to prove your position is correct. Oh, wait.. you can't do that because you made it up.

As for shills, you said you have a motive here and don't care to enlighten us because you signed a nondisclosure agreement.

Please see the below definition of a shill

-> A shill, also called a plant or a stooge, is a person who publicly helps or gives credibility to a person or organization without disclosing that they have a close relationship with the person or organization. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shill

So by definition, you just admitted you are a shill. I have a screenshot of this entire conversation for the world to see. You can make up whatever you want this to mean, but it will never change what it is.

wizzwizz People will take you more seriously when you stop posting untrue things that you make up. For example, you post > "mainstream media" which is a nebulous term meaning whatever the speaker wants it to mean." <-

This is untrue, it does not mean whatever the speaker wants it to mean. As per the Oxford living dictionary, mainstream media means

"treated as singular or plural Traditional forms of mass communication, such as newspapers, television, and radio (as opposed to the Internet) regarded collectively." https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/msm

So you see, the statement you made above put you pretty low on the pyramid of debate you've just bragged about your position on because you made it up. In my experiance people who post untruths that they make up to make their point are often shills.

Also, you mention you have a motive for being here. Would you care to enlighten the rest of us, or is it a secret motive only yourself and Jason are privy too?

Good for you! Smart enough to work and not take out loans you couldn't afford to pay back. You mention teachers being lazy and pointing to Youtube. If a person is hired to teach for an agreed upon salary, they should do what they were hired to do and teach. There's no other profession where it's acceptable not to do what you were hired to do or do it half-assed because you aren't paid what you want to be paid. These lazy teachers should be ashamed, and be fired. There are a whole lot of folks who would love to do this job for the agreed upon pay and do it correctly.

I agree with you on all points except > Parents did a really bad job of making sure their kids went into fields that were growing in jobs.

When a person reaches 18, they are adults and as adults are responsible for choosing a career path. The parents can talk till they're blue in the face, but in the end, if the 18-year-old picks a career in basket weaving, it's not the fault of the parent.

And yes the basket weaving type of careers, the easier ones to get a degree in are the ones where there are no jobs. These people pick the easy road then complain that the taxpayer should bail them out for making stupid career path decisions. The people who chose the career path of as you pointed out, medical, or engineering, those people hardly have worthless degrees, but they worked their ass off to get that degree.

Half of Millennials and Generation Z want employers to prioritize diversity over ability in hiring by HeyImSancho in SundogsPlace

[–]SundogsPlace 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This isn't based on my bias, it's based on the government definition of Affirmative action and my experience with two like companies with different hiring procedures.

One company hires a person based on diversity. They do not require this person has the ability to move quickly. The other hires several different skin colors based on the ability to work quickly. How is that a huge leap to validate my beliefs?

According to the government definition of Affirmative action, Affirmative action hires based on race and sex, NOT ability. That is a fact. That is what validates my beliefs.

Capital gain is a rise in the value of a capital asset (investment or real estate) that gives it a higher worth than the purchase price. The gain is not realized until the asset is sold. In 2018 the capital gains tax rates are either 15% or 20% for most assets held for more than a year. Capital gains tax rates on most assets held for less than a year correspond to ordinary income tax brackets (10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35% or 37%) https://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/taxes/capital-gains-tax-rates/

Taxes on the stock market are quite high and move higher depending on your tax bracket. The more money you make, the more you pay on your gains. My brother in law, a nurse, (with student loans to pay) already pays 37% on his short term earnings.

Am I reading you correctly that you believe this is not fair and people like him should be required to pay even more?

Taxing the trade its self taxes the person for the ability to trade win or lose. The poorer you are the more that would hurt your ability to participate in the market, as you would have less to invest in each trade after the tax. Even the UK hasn't yet taxed its middle class for the ability to participate in trading.

He published his first results in 2006. Many participants reported having mystical-type experiences that, two months later, they rated as among the most meaningful of their lives. Nearly two-thirds of the participants said the experiences had increased their well-being—something that Griffiths and his colleagues confirmed with family and friends. Maybe most surprising, the subjects reported lasting change after the psilocybin sessions.

Psychologists often rate personalities in broad domain categories like neuroticism, extroversion, and agreeableness. After the age of 30, it’s thought that one’s personality is more or less set. But in Griffiths’ study, one domain in particular improved among the psilocybin-takers more than a year after the sessions: openness. They reported more imagination, creativity, and aesthetic appreciation.

It’s what many religious practices figured out long ago.

Others call these studies groundbreaking. They’re the first studies on hallucinogens in the U.S. in decades, and among the only rigorous studies ever. They suggest that mystical experiences are reliably inducible. And for Griffiths, they indicate that the human brain is wired to have these kinds of experiences. You don’t have to be a saint or a master meditator; you don’t have to be born lucky, or suffer from an unusual mental glitch. Perhaps because we’re extremely social animals, the ability to feel a deep sense of oneness with existence, which seems so therapeutic, is latent in us. “The results suggest that almost everyone is capable,” he told me.

Studies show many independent contractors don’t actually pay their taxes.” <- It's all about taxation. It's always about taxation.

Converse shoes, does the SJW crawl: The Woman Who Lived In a Shoe by SundogsPlace in SundogsPlace

It really is creepy the amount of large corporations literally destroying their tried, true, and proven business models. Gillette, who's customer base is predominantly men, goes off to make commercials that basically say men suck. Dick's Sporting Goods discontinuing gun sales, which was a staple of their business; yet it just makes sense to get rid of the guns, good for business???

Now we've got Converse following suit, I never put a label on which gender should wear them, or not, I just figured the shoes were for everyone; yet they make a pointedly man hating, and divisional commercial. They themselves drew the proverbial line in the sand, that never was there before hand; why the push?

Is there another way to look at this? I don't even buy the shoes, but I wouldn't now at this point. Why are all of these companies caught up in the push to 're script' the world, and what of their precious profits? Something smells in this mix....

That's too bad, and you're correct, I'm a nice person, and not hating on anyone. A great deal of what I write is usually generalized, meaning that if you reread much of what I wrote, it's generalized towards all of society. To be clear, and specific on one point that you seemed to focus on, was the nipping, cutting, and scrawling. A small example would be the Pamela Anderson barbed wire tribal tattoo; do you realize how many people got that, just to fit in? You saw the tat everywhere, it went from super cool, to super humorous. This is an example of what I'm talking about; people jump on trends as a means of perceived elevated status for little more than recognition.

The cabal, and their mouthpieces scream we all have special choices, but as long as they're within (insert approved special group here), and not outside of that. The only thing I've been trying to say, is people in general have their own reason for what they do, disapprove of, or approve of.

If a young girl doesn't feel comfortable, or secure showering with anyone else, and due to the fact she sees male genetalia, it should be her exclusive right to say no.... Simply because none of us have walked in her shoes. We don't know what triggers, or just dislikes she may have, and to tell her 'tolerance' on such an intimate time as changing, and showering, is wrong. We all need to get along was, and is my point.

Hi Ezra,

Great questions. In regards to children, We're breeding idiots; the idea of knowledge in school is a forgone memory. Most people void of modern society wouldn't survive.

As far as my concern, or care over what my children do once they're grown, other than just live, and love, not much. I would hope that knowledge given, and learned when young, would aid in them being able to make the correct choices for themselves.

What's being taught in schools anymore is a joke. We as a whole need to step back, and look at what's really necessary for life, then rethink school of any form. The 4 aspects I know would make anyone able to put shelter over their heads, and food in their belly's are: reading, writing, arithmetic, and govt law/contracts.

If kids can grasp all the above, and the importance; they'll be able to accomplish food, and shelter. From there, it's their life, to live. There are a couple other things that would make them more well rounded; like being traveled, and having at the least a second language(gained with travel).

From there, as far as respect, or acknowledgment, I think my first post answers this, but I'll go into it a little further here. Respect, is the other aspect of what I think all people need to be taught fundamentally.

The term is used differently by different people, and of varying levels of moral, or ethical beliefs. To me, the idea of respect is simple. Respect is what I use to get through my day, and to get back to my home, and relax without having any issues while away. Respect is a stress reliever, a pain killer, and a mood lightener. It's simply knowing that we all are here experiencing this temporal world; not knowing where each of us has come from before, or where each of us is going next. It's the idea that everything we do, may matter to each of us individually on a larger scale, and not necessarily to the whole on this level; leave others to their own. Respect does, and can evoke good emotions, like kindness, happiness, love, et el; realize this. Respect also keeps us safe, we never know who we're dealing with whether in person, online, or in any way, or means; respect maybe the difference between someone taking their anger out against said person, or finding the next mullet.

In this way, I don't cater to, or bow to any group, man, woman, or anything, but always give respect; it just works.

Did I answer your questions, concerns, or leave you scratching your head?

I think a great deal of all people, the strong majority live for attention; hence why social media focus is on how to create an artificial means of dopamine satisfaction. Considering this, and other things I've learned, I do believe there are large numbers of people doing things to themselves that in the end, they hate; for examples, pick any of the societal 'trends' over the last 2 to 3 decades; there are regrets.

From the angle 'for attention', other than transgender, I think there are a lot of people who're willing to do all sorts of self harm for a minute of being 'cool'.On the topic of transgender, the numbers for people who've had reassignment surgery, then changed their minds, or with mental illness: https://www.thepublicdiscourse.com/2016/06/17166/ I think it's valid to have concern for people rushing into something based off an artificial media frenzied, 'cool factor'.

I honestly don't care what anyone else does, or how they live their lives; as I want the same, to be left alone, and live my life. I accomplish this, by minding my own business in public, and trying to be respectful.

That's not good enough though apparently. Many to most people wear their emotions on their shirtsleeves, never realizing the next mullet has a life, and the problems that go along with that. Anymore to look at anyone, and not give the 'appropriate' response, is viewed as hate. If a regular mullet is having a bad day, and screams at the next regular mullet, it's just what it is, but if said mullet screams at any of the media propped up special groups, then it's 'hate'. I see this as a problem, and I also see the problem of 'everyone' just wanting to live their live, the way the see fit, as well as being recognized, acknowledged, seen, known by everyone else as a problem also. People literally make spectacles of themselves, because they want to be seen, then are upset when people see them, and in whatever means proverbially tell them to go take a hike; just like they would with anyone disturbing them.

The fact is, no one needs any special group to belong to for a healthy dose of ZERO acknowledgment. Is the world turning proverbially cold, as people don't care anymore, or has it always been that way? I don't know, but it's definitely that way now, as seen by way of video. My point is? Any group that demands any acknowledgment, is asking for something the general societal mullet never gets; so why should '(insert group here)' have it extra special?

I think a lot of this tech is already in play; even the 'we know what you're thinking stuff'.

As you point out, we can look at Israel, which is openly the world leader in this tech, and see.... We can also look back at US history, and more so the experiments done by the govt., and associated agencies...

MkUltra comes to mind; it was too valuable of a program to simply shut down; my bet is, the experiments were more than adequate, and they moved onto the implementation phase. They used drugs amongst other things; look at our food supply. I do think we're basically lab rats, and test subjects in an 'open air lab'.

I think the western world is in big trouble; between being dumbed down into a reactionary society, and also the purposeful influx of refugees, it's not a good combination.

Just watch the news, or read current events, the cabal keeps hinting at the 'lights' going out. What happens then? People have become complacent, lazy, and just plain ignorant.

There were a couple on that list that were shocking, like knowing the branches of govt, and average college reading level.

On that note, the article continues on in regards to how testing has changed; that now instead of fill in the blanks, it's most often true/false, or multiple choice. I would agree it's not a great means for testing for knowledge. You're guaranteed a decent chance of passing a test where otherwise you'd have failed without good topic knowledge.
