You're probably thinking of someone else. MTG was in the Capitol and has gone on record denouncing what happened that day. She also said that she was also afraid when the event took place.

I don't get the division on this sub. If someone provides the right message, support their message. If MTG is crazy, then I am crazy too and proud of it. Chances are that the same tactics that the WaPo is using to characterize feminism as a transphobic movement have been used to make MTG out to look crazy to the public. I don't trust the mainstream media as it is no longer, and perhaps never was, honest journalism. I will never subscribe to the WaPo.

My original post was pointing out the inconsistency as well as the government overreach of the left. Just last week they said little Joey was assigned the wrong gender since he likes dolls and dresses. This week they are telling us that gender doesn't exist in toys and clothing. They are not consistent and need to stop trying to parent the public. I played with dolls, guns, kitchen sets, and legos. But my niece is a straight up girly girl. It's hella convenient for me to filter on "girls" and get her gifts out of the way. Maybe the post would have been better on a political sub, but I just find it funny that they try to acknowledge gender and ignore gender at the same time.

Dang I wasn't even thinking about underwear. That's a good point. Since this bill will start out with the kids, I started puberty early, and more and more girls are getting their periods early. I think I started with training bras at 9 or 10. I remember this being an embarrassing phase in my life. I can't imagine if I would have had to do this shopping around boys.

Side note: I am glad I had women in my life that didn't take my tomboy nature and try to reclassify my sex. I really did not like being a girl once I got my period, but not once did an adult tell me I should transition to a boy.

Y'all ignore "a dung". It changed its post after I responded. Its original post was along the lines of "you're not a true feminist and you hate trans and you're not welcomed here." Now it is ranting because it got triggered by the words "the left." My post was to highlight how their rules keep changing. So to sum up, here is what a dung really wants to write, "Spicy criticized the left. It offended me because I vote down ballots for Democrats. Now I need to use the left tactic of calling our critics hateful so that everyone else can turn against her. Spicy is racist, ageist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, cisnormative P.O.S. I hope the mods ban Spicy because she said 'the left'. I won't sleep tonight until Spicy is punished for calling me out on my bull. God speed!"

I do believe the Equality Act or one of the policies by Biden will also allow those who know they have HIV to pass it on without consequence. It was the part of the act that talked about the decriminalization of HIV. Everyone should pay attention to things that happen in any blue state because it's all about an ideology. Those in California think like those in New York that think like those in D.C. So you're right, the legislation in places like California becomes the legislation of the nation eventually.

The bill isn't just about toys. It's about getting rid of boy and girl clothing sections too, which will evolve into getting rid of men and women section of stores. I don't know about you but I find it pretty convenient to have a ladies section. Also I don't believe in government control. This bill was drafted because one man's daughter said she didn't know why she couldn't play with the toy in the boys section. All he had to do was tell her that was bs and a toy doesn't decide her gender. Instead it wasn't enough for him to parent. He had to draft a bill to enforce his beliefs on the population.

My dad and brothers clothes are expensive. Tuxedos usually cost more than bridesmaid dresses. Birth control pills might come out cheaper than condoms. IDK. I'm sure if we all looked hard enough we can find some injustice. I'm black and my hair care products are expensive. So am I suffering from a black tax?

She said what is happening in America reminds her of back home and she is afraid the country will turn to the place she escaped. Pitbull even said something similar - that the country is heading the way of Cuba.

As for Trump, nothing he did had a negative effect on my life. That is why I am genuinely curious how other people's lives have been impacted. I paid less taxes than I did with Obama. But with Biden, everything he is doing has a negative effect on my life. He is erasing womanhood, opening borders to illegals, increasing taxes, driving socialism, removing funding in an industry I work in, enabling travel restrictions, etc. I value my womanhood, religious freedom, and my paycheck. So Biden is scarier for me.

The 80s and 90s were 3-4 decades ago. With all due respect, I will ignore that paragraph because I was wondering more about what he did during his presidency that scared you today. I was looking for example of policies that maybe turned you off from him.

I agree he is a bit of a narcissist. He definitely has some ugly traits like making fun of the handicap and cursing out American citizens. I wouldn't put him in the class of evil. For a long time I hated the dude, but it was really based on what the media showed. What made me ooen to the idea that maybe Trump isn't THAT bad, is this sub. When this sub talked about the Biden/Harris Equality Act, I knew I couldn't vote Democrat ever again. So I was left with Trump as a choice which forced me to really question the media. Trump actually did a lot of great things that were never talked about. None of it greatly benefited the poor, but I never saw any president do anything that benefited the poor. Even when Democrats give money away it never really lifts anyone out of poverty. I also think Trump exposed a lot of corruption from both Democrats and Republicans.

Tl;dr He wasn't perfect, but he wasn't Adolf Hitler and I wished the media didn't focus on just the negative stuff. They are handling Biden with kid gloves. They don't criticize anything he does.

Now transgenders can definitely point to something and go, "See our struggles and black people's struggles are the same." I can't figure out how I want to feel about this. So I tried to think of a feminist hero of mine - Fannie Lou Hamer. This was a big, stocky black woman. If someone made a nude statue of her, I would find it disgraceful only because it is distracting. The audience will focus more on the nudity than what she represented. The artist should have digged deeper in order to figure out how to represent all women through her. Completely removing clothes is just lazy.

Not everyone has the means to homeschool children. Some families will suffer under one income, and some already do if they are a single parent household. This burden always falls on the woman. You are basically proposing gender critical women all be stay at home moms. While I am sure some women may not have a problem with that, there are some women who would. And as someone who was not homeschooled and got to experience sports, clubs, proms, and other parties with my peers, I would want my children to experience the same social events.

Opting out of these courses and homeschooling don't really solve the problem though. Your kids will have to interact with other kids, and who knows the misinformation that will come at recess time. Anyone remember when little girls used to mispronounce menstruation and say ministration? They're kids and will not fully understand the subject matter, and they will tell all the kids who parents took them out of these classes all the stuff they learned.

You can only protect your child so much from this, and when they force it through the education system where the majority of kids will grow up speaking gender language, your child will be an outcast. Your child will be bullied and demonized for growing up gender critical in a state in which the majority will now be gender "cynical".

I was sexually assaulted by another kid when I was in kindergarten. I know that sounds crazy, but I'll elaborate. I never told anyone this. There was another girl, a fellow kindergartner, who seemed to be sex crazed and she would bully me into going to the girl's restroom with her. She would tell me to pull my pants down. Sometimes she would force me to dry hump. We were both five. If I didn't do it, she would pinch me.

Do I think this curriculum would have saved me? No. I was bullied. I said no. I never had to be taught what was inappropriate. I just knew. And she knew what she did to me was inappropriate. That's why she threatened to pinch me if I told the teacher.

The school system tried teaching kids to be drug-free with the D.A.R.E. program. How successful was that? Likewise, how would you even measure the success of these proposed sex ed programs? Are they going to follow up with students later on and ask if they've avoided getting assaulted or being the predator? Don't be fooled. Many of us didn't take these courses and we grew up keeping our hands to ourselves. Those who won't were going to grow up criminal anyway. You can't teach away evil. That's my two cents.

My distinction? I don't know. Their responses seem to contradict. In the end, the OP probably got Not All Men'd, but it went a little something like "Not all men. Our good white men over in the UK... something, something better than brown people in the Middle East... something, something." I think if they had just stuck to saying that not just white men do certain things they probably wouldn't have been fighting and talking past each other. But the capes came on because OP called white men the worst.

I post there a lot. I'm sure there are some, but the great majority of posters do not seem to be pickme. I read the conversation and I can see it from both views. Part of their response came off as not wanting you to just blame white men as a problem but all men as a problem. And I agree. All men suck not just white men.

But then part of their response was in pickme territory because they started talking about white countries, and what they really meant were white men, treating women better. They feel a need to defend white men because they feel like if you insult white men then you are insulting all white people. I usually see similar things in the black community. If a black man gets mistreated, black women feel personally attacked. These women are so male-identified; it's sad.

Oh and this was funny: "Let me guess.... you met a new scrote?" Hahaha I choked laughing. We have to stay on code. Women gotta stop seeing men as innocent just because they going to bed with them.

Edit: And sadly they won't bring up gender stuff. And these politicians never have personal stories. No real transgender friends or family stories they can share. States have had more influence over these issues. For example, I left a red state that did not allow single women to have IVF. Basically I had no chance of being a mother in that state. I moved to a blue state and even though I have more reproductive rights, the gender identity stuff will gradually complicate life for me as a woman.

Abortions aren't going anywhere. If they wanted to do it, they would have done it a long time ago. Abortion is brought up every year. It's a political scare tactic. Gender identity politics however is real. It's spreading like wildfires. You can actually get fired for being gender-critical. That's a bigger problem to me. I do not want my womanhood being erased, and I don't want biological men in spaces created for me.

Men are master illusionists. Every man has worked his trickery on women, and the trans are no different. I went to a college where there were no coed dormitories, and guys would try to sneak in women's dorms all the time. They will go a step further and sneak into women showers. There was always that fear that you might step out the shower and a man was there. We have real fears. I think if some of these trans activists paid more attention to how women are treated in countries where they have less or no rights, they would understand the innate nature of men more.

Funny you say that the vibe is that we have given up. A male who I think likes(or liked) me told me the other day that I sounded like I had given up on men. I felt affirmed as a pink pill feminist after he said that. I get pleasure from rejecting men. And I get pleasure telling them that collectively they are failures.

S/N I don't know why y'all keep asking why heterosexual women date men. Being a heterosexual woman means being attracted to men. At the very least, there is a point where you want to have sex with them so of course you date them. If you don't want sex with them then you're homosexual or asexual. Then some women want kids. It's really that simple. Not everyone is content with masturbating into their 70s and living alone. Let's not be obtuse. PPF is not an easy lifestyle for the great majority of heterosexual women. So they absolutely will deal with trashy men if it gives them a chance to be a Mrs. or a mother or get mediocre sex on the regular.

OP you should probably specify the rape. People are commenting about adult male on adult male rape and adults raping male children. I don't think you are referring to those cases just adult woman raping adult man, correct? If so, I think the latter situation is so rare I can't even imagine how it would happen. I almost want to go on a limb and say it doesn't happen.

They single out black women because we're an easy punching bag. No one protects us or stand by us. You can get away with saying anything about us. A few years ago Don Imus called black female basketball players "nappy headed hoes." The fact that he felt comfortable enough to say that on air says a lot. The fact that black women had to call out the racism and sexism but black men and white feminists were silent when that happened goes to show black women have to stand up for ourselves most of the time.

History lesson: We didn't get voting rights until several decades after white women. Events like that further contribute to the idea that black women weren't seen as women.

"I've never actually heard TRAs claim that females should stop talking about the female body."

That's all they talk about. Women can't refer to their periods, vaginas, ovaries, pregnancies as being part of the female body. Instead we have to be people who bleed and uterus owners and people who birth. If you say any of that is female then you get labeled transphobic.

So OP great points. If they weren't catering to male attention and the song was simply about their ability to lubricate, the trans and libfems would definitely be screaming transphobic. But it's a male centered song in reality so it gets a pass.

Yes this is rape. Some have preconceptions of what rape looks like because of some TV show. It's not always some woman being bruised up after a hard scramble with a male. You don't have to scream and yell out stop or no for it to be rape. These men are not dumb. They know damn well what "not interested" looks like. You did what you had to do to survive in this incident and for you that was staying silent and just taking it. Others might fight, but some don't try. That doesn't mean you weren't raped because you didn't put up a fight.

So there is a Womanism subforum and some music and celebrity gossip forums, general subs, sports, religion, hair, science, news, etc. Just all kinds of subforums but it's mostly women. Unfortunately I can't think of any other websites because I ran into the same problem. I tried one website and you couldn't go into one sub without the title being sexual in nature. It could be a philosophy subforum and some dumb guy makes a thread, "To tie your partner or not to tie your partner. That is the question." They are never funny. Difficult decisions like that are hardly choices. She didn't choose to quit; she was forced to. If she didn't, her kids would not have been cared for. A divorce wouldn't have solved that. She would just be divorced and still taking care of her child. And this is the situation for a lot of women. Some do choose to be SAHM, but some are pressured.
