If bathrooms shouldn't be segregated by biological sex, and should instead be segregated by one's gender identity, I see no need for non-binaries to use bathrooms... y'know, if we're going by TRA logic anyway.

Also, I'm having a hard time understanding what 'non-binary' actually is.

I love when they always pull out the argument: "o-oh, well, sexual orientation labels are actually voluntary to use, so get lost! people can describe themselves however they want!"

Yup, indeed they are. I, for example, could call myself straight 'till the cows come home. Doesn't the change the fact that I'm not fucking straight lol.

The labels are perhaps voluntary (that's even debatable), but existing in a state which fits the descriptor of 'lesbian', 'gay', or 'bisexual' are not. No one has volunteered to be whatever sexual orientation they are. Stop appropriating and stealing descriptors that describe our body's responses to both males and females when it comes to romantic and sexual attraction.

Like, I don't see how this could be any more obvious.

'Gay' is not a descriptor that transmen can use if they are attracted to males because they are not a male attracted to exclusively other males.

'Lesbian' is not a descriptor that transwomen can use if they are attracted to females because they are not a female attracted to exclusively other females.

Objective reality exists and we use words and descriptors to describe said reality and share our experiences with others in a way that is elaborate and straightforward. Attempting to rewrite these descriptor's definitions to include a variety of other things is not only homophobic, but regressive.

Yeah, it's 'not cool' to say that men and transwomen are the only people who can potentially have penises.

The 'laughing stock' comment was a response to something I said that went along the lines of: "our willingness to accept our own commercialisation by companies that have no care for our rights makes us look like laughing stocks, like we have to pandered and babied because of something we can't control. It makes us look rather childish."

So, I'm now a homophobe because I disapprove of the exploitation of my community, and a transphobe for stating biological reality (the comment they dug out was made several days before I even made this post, In a discussion of 'genital preferences'.)

I think they mean to say that people who are transitioning decide to 'change' their sexuality dependent on the gender they now associate themselves with, even though that isn't very logical to begin with.

A man transitioning into a female will most of the time say that they are 'lesbian', which actually means they are straight since they are still a biological male.

[–]Smolders1 10 insightful - 3 fun10 insightful - 2 fun11 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

They are back-peddling on the 'wrong body' term because they've realised how stupid it is and are getting scared that they are being called out for it. There is no such thing as a 'right' or 'wrong' body.

Same with 'feeling' like a man or a woman, you cannot feel like a female or feel like a male because they aren't 'feelings.'

There are no misconceptions when it comes to biological sex, the sex trans people were born as has not been misconceived, it has simply been observed.

TRA's are now screaming stuff like: "fuck u wrong body is just a metaphor!"

No, it isn't, and you know it isn't. It's very weird how all TRA's on Twitter had to make this clarification on the exact same day, surely it wasn't because they were scared of being called out for it, surely not. How can I even consider 'wrong body' a metaphor when trans people use that as genuine justification as to why they transitioned?

I kind of disagree, but kind of agree at the same time.

I think what got us here (mostly) is us entertaining transgender people's delusions regarding what they believe they are. They are mentally unbalanced, we aren't telling depressed people to off themselves and we aren't telling anorexic people that they look fat in certain clothing, so I have no idea why society decided to humour such a dangerous issue.

To tell you the truth, I don't care how 'harsh' it is (misgendering someone is the fucking paper cut of oppression, if you go into a state of unending mental anguish for being misgendered, you need fucking help), the only way we can get out of this mess is by continuing to say the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Thank you for asking. :)

My relationship with my family is stable, they are now perfectly accepting of my orientation and they have taken a strong liking towards the guy I'm currently dating. I've never truly 'forgiven' them for their actions, as those sort of things unfortunately don't just vanish from someone's memories and their efforts to turn me hetero are things that will remain prevalent in my mind for as long as I live, but they've apologised to no end and I genuinely do believe they mean it. I love them, I've just made it clear to them that their actions aren't things I can just move on from and they understood that perfectly fine.

Both my boyfriend and I are currently 17, and his relatives also really like me, so it all worked out perfect, I'd say.

And yeah, I can understand where you're coming from. I actually think that most individuals who have somehow managed to get themselves involved with TRA nonsense actually disagree with the gender identity foolishness, they just don't wanna say it out loud out of fear of being known as a 'bigot' or a 'transphobe'. Imho, both words have lost their original meaning and I don't think either party even knows what they mean anymore, just something they can mindlessly throw at anyone who don't agree with their braindead ideologies and deluded views on sexual orientation.

They are the most pandered to snowflakes ever and somehow think they are oppressed, but of course, whenever they come to safe spaces for LGB individuals or feel the need to degrade and/or disempower LGB culture, we're the ones who are exclusionary. We just can't win.

I got banned from r/lgbt when I told a dysphoric individual to not transition immediately, as hormones and puberty blockers can have devastating effects. I put in the politest way one possibly could, going as far as to direct them to sources that discussed transitioning's positive and negative effect upon one's mental health.

Was banned for being 'transphobic' a few minutes later... that's when I found r/lgbdropthet. Gender identity and orientation are completely differentiating concepts and being aligned with the trans brigade will mean that we're always at the objective increased risk of being subjected to homo/biphobia. I'm honestly beginning to think that these medical corporations are downplaying the sometimes disastrous results that stem from the utilisation of these hormone blockers because people experiencing dysphoria will pay insane amounts to solve a problem that could be cheaply solved with actual therapy.

TRA's constantly bring up the argument: "oh transitioning is therapy, shut up!" No, it isn't. This 'therapy' they speak of is just filled with constant reminders that transitioning is available.

Hormone blockers are dangerous as fuck. People need to do research before going through the procedures that use them, because people's lives are being destroyed as a result of them.

Is he really a troll, though? He seems way too intent on taking the site down to be a troll. Is there any particular reason why he’s so obsessed with our existence? Does free speech piss him off, or?

I mostly just find it funny because on the SaidItNet subreddit on Reddit he seemed really confident that he’d got this place taken down for good. What a sad individual. Regardless of if he is or isn’t a troll, I hope he finds something more productive to do in his evidently boring life.

There site is down. by [deleted] in LGBDropTheT

I don’t mean to be rude or anything, but why should we care about Reddit’s downtime? I’m only still there for a few communities that would never get big as they are on there anywhere else.

People need to stay far away from Reddit. It’s dangerous how much speech is restricted there. Thoughts, ideas, protestations and opinions are becoming ‘hateful’.

Nothing makes me cringe and want to scream at the top of my lungs more than glorifying the word “queer” by nbailey73 in LGBDropTheT

Queer is a nasty, horrible word that should have no place in the modern world.

Some of you may believe I’m being overdramatic here, but it really sucks having to wake up to everyday and be reminded that my sexuality that I’ve fought to no end to get my family and friends to accept is being actively appropriated by straight women who fetishise gay men. by Smolders1 in LGBDropTheT

I mean, it’s not on my mind constantly. It just kind of annoys me is all lol. People claiming an oppression that they will never understand just bugs me and it’s a bit hard not to think about or get frustrated over when so much of your life has been based around trying to rid yourself of a hard-wired orientation that you would honestly rather not live with.

If there were a button I could press that magically turned me straight, I would press it no questions asked. But I can’t. I am always going to be a male who is attracted to other males. Of course, I’m not speaking for all gay men when I say this, I know a lot of lesbians, bisexual and gay men who are happy with their sexuality, but I am not. I have been put through no end of homophobic bullshit in my life to let mentally ill women fetishise people like me. Not a single fucking gay man wants them and they never will. They can take their homophobia elsewhere, I’m not letting the same homophobic nonsense that my parents said to me years ago be used on other homo and bisexual kids disguised under the mask of ‘trans rights’.

If a person refusing to let regurgitated homophobia stand in today’s world is what the trans community considers a ‘transphobe’, then I’ll happily remain a transphobe for as long as I live, because that definition of transphobe is not a bad thing to be.

Sorry for going off topic a bit, but I don’t care. Just my thoughts.

I’ll admit it, I miss our Reddit community. by Smolders1 in LGBDropTheT

Why are you here, then? I doubt you’d be coming into our communities, making comments like these and then proceeding to say ‘we don’t miss you on Reddit!’ If some sort of obsession wasn’t involved.

It’s almost as if censoring opinions on a social media platform doesn’t suddenly erase people who hold those opinions from existence. I love how we’re the exclusionary ones, yet people like you barge into our spaces. Ridiculous.

No, regardless of what their intent is, I don’t wanna support some janny task force’s mission to brigade subreddits, no matter what they’re doing it for. They literally set up VPN’s and make new accounts and then proceed to post child pornography to subreddits they don’t like.

L/G/B people - would you ever want to have kids and if so, through what means? by reluctant_commenter in LGBDropTheT

Unfortunately, I sometimes wish I were straight due to the fact that I cannot ever have my own biological children.

I believe surrogacy is unethical, so I don’t think I’d be comfortable using that method to conceive a child of my own.

I may be fine with adoption or fostering, though. The child would still not be my biological child, but it’s the method I believe to be the most ethical.

I doubt I will ever have kids, however, simply due to the fact that I cannot have my own biological child with my SO. Hope that makes sense. I dunno what puts me off the idea so much, it’d just be off putting to raise a child if it were not my biological child. Like I said, it’s the reason I hate being homosexual. I do want my own child someday, but there’s nothing that I believe to be ‘fulfilling’ available to me.

EDIT: Words.
