HAH, plop, thankfully it's a lot easier to install now, even a noob can do it depending on the distro. Mint is still one of the top, basically win xp and a bit harder to do network sharing but lots of documents now. I expect 2020 linux will become popular.

Yep that's my feeling when I revive old stuff. Don't worry about it though, since the population is so high we throw out truckloads of shit everyday. There is things to worry about and things you have no control over, typically I have zero to worry about besides eating.

I had an idea way back, that car racing was the real defining factor of why I don't give a fuck anymore. That's kinda why people never consolidated in the past and left vast cities untouched, they didn't want to give up their independence. Waste management was extremely bad for one, and the methane and processing plants made it stink more. People just decided they didn't want to be packed in and would rather roam freely and set up a house or camp wherever they wanted and live the life. Not possible now, just sit in your cube life and never do anything bc it makes too much carbon.

Yea but who wants 11 billion people? I'd prefer a few acres of farming mixed with the tech that we have. That is the future. I prefer that if we have a miracle and cooperate instead of spending the entire gdp on blowing people up. I mean I prefer it over dystopian concrete shithole even if it was nice bc we cooperate. Nature also deserves room is in my thinking as well.

Migrants banned from Finnish schools and daycare centers after multiple child rape cases By Emma R. 8 February 2019

The Finnish municipality of Oulu announces that migrants are no longer allowed to visit schools and daycare centers.

The reason is that parents have complained about so-called integration visits and feel worried about their children after the recent rape wave against young girls.

According to the Finnish police, the alleged perpetrators are male migrants who have come to the country in recent years and most of the rape victims are girls under the age of 15.

One of the places the media has highlighted in connection with the rape wave is the municipality of Oulu in North Ostrobothnia. In Oulu, the police are investigating at least ten migrants for serious sexual offenses against girls as young as ten.

As a result, parents have complained and expressed concern about how the municipality can allow the integration project ESIKOTO to continue.

ESIKOTO is an integration experiment where migrants visit schools and daycare centers to learn more about society through lessons and study groups. It is also supposed to promote multiculturalism.

However, now the municipal leadership chooses to meet the parents’ request and end the integration project.

Mika Penttilä, who is responsible for education and culture in the municipality, confirms that they, together with the organisers of the project have decided that there will be no more visits.

Recently, media reports on sexual offenses have also shown new crime statistics in the municipality of Oulu. Arto Karnaranta, Deputy Chief of Police, explains that sexual offenses in only one year – between 2017 and 2018, have increased by 20 percent.
