If this was their own little subculture, I wouldn't care. You do you. What drives me nuts is they expect everyone, especially those who qualify as LGBTQWTF, to participate and stay up-to-date on all these ever changing "queer culture" rules, customs, traditions, and language. Websites like that make it very clear that they view anyone who doesn't participate as dangerous enemies that must be defeated or reformed.

Dealing with TQ+ nonsense as an artist by [deleted] in LGBDropTheT

Are a lot of the artists encouraging and engaging in TQ+ art straight? That would make sense, because they have nothing to lose, but gain a lot of followers in the current zeitgeist.

Considering how easy it is for GC artists to get banned on any major platform that allows you to get a following, what do you think would be a good move for artists to make, who want to make a change, but have careers to lose? Personally, I originally just stuck to very pro-LGB designs, and only recently dipped a toe in GC stuff. For context, here's my Redbubble side shop I was referring to. I'm not good or popular enough to get attacked, but it is very frustrating to be drowning in a sea of "Fuck Terfs" and "Die Cis Scum" when I just want to celebrate fucking same-sex attraction that I/we were fucking bullied and shamed over for decades. I fucking hate having to walk on eggshells again, out of fear of losing yet another and another and another space to share and collaborate on LGB art. (Anger not at you. Just angry, tired, and tipsy. Thanks for bringing the art topic up!)

I'm a small artist and sell GC/LGB themed designs on the side in accounts separate from my main art account. This way I won't get ruined in a ban. I just try to ignore the LGBTQZJLMAJG+ nonsense. I've received rude comments, but I've also received several private messages from people saying, "Hey, I can't be out about being GC, but I just wanted to let you know you have my support!" It makes me wonder how many GC/LGB artists are actually out there just keeping a low profile out of fear of banishment. Several "Terfy" artists I've followed have experienced bans already, and it's demoralizing trying to contribute to a community that's constantly under attack. I also bet a lot of it has to do with money as well. You can make a lot during May-June catering to the rainbow crowd.

Anyway, sorry about your situation. I don't do fan art, but am well aware of how insanely "queer" those spaces are. I hope this trend fades soon and those kids move onto the next (and hopefully less damaging) big thing.

In the US, people with disabilities don't automatically qualify for SSDI / SSI (Social Security Disability Insurance / Supplemental Security Income). You have to prove that you are incapable of working and have spent years attempting to work and utilizing every treatment available. I've known people who experience psychotic episodes who disqualified, so I would be shocked if someone managed to get on the program over gender dysphoria.

For a group of people who frequently create new gender and sexuality labels, as well as the flags to represent them, I really really wish they'd do the same for their own brand of "lesbian" instead of fighting to change the standard definition. I'm guessing this has something to do with a combination of validating their gender, porn influence, and perceived access to sex with real lesbians.

MPD is now called Dissociative Identity Disorder. If it exists, it is said to be caused by severe childhood trauma. However, there's now tons of the fakers going, "You don't have to have experienced trauma to have DID!" Reminds me a lot of the "You don't have to have dysphoria to be trans!" crowd. If you like cringe internet drama, tourettes (especially the swearing one, of course) seems to be "contagious" right now.

I have a feeling these graffiti "trans attacks" are going to increase because of teen trolls who find the mainstream attention and publicity these acts now receive to be irresistible, similar to spray painting 666 or swastikas. LGB and GC people will probably be blamed for all of these "attacks" :/ Also, poor kid. I hope he's ok.

I almost put kink (like DD/LG) with the narcissistic zebra and virtue signaling (BLM/ACAB, No TERFS/SWERFS) with the asexual deer thing, but didn't want the words to take up too much space. If other people have different interpretations, including a gay male version, I'd love to see it! :)

ETA: Actually, adding kink would be funny, but I'm not super familiar with BDSM terminology. What would fit and with who?

I don't regret not sleeping with men, it's just a thought experiment of wondering how would I be different today if I had. It's kinda like wondering what benefits I would have experienced if I was born male, at a different place, or at a different time. Would my parents and friends have treated me better? What sort of impact would that have had on me today?

ETA: If anything, I "regret" not being born straight, but I can't change that.

In other ways I'm unlucky, I wouldn't consider dating men when I was younger so I never got useful dating experience before my mid twenties.

In a way, I consider gay people who dated the opposite sex in high school to be the "lucky" ones because at least they got the social experience, practice, and stories to tell of dating in their youth. Not ideal obviously, but just wondering if not dating at all vs dating the wrong sex is truly the lesser of two evils. I'm a gold star that considered myself asexual until my mid-twenties. Mid thirties now.

I'm honestly having a hard time getting a feel for how big or small the gender topic is because my straight friends have no idea what it is when I asked their opinion, and we live in Seattle, WA! It's probably because most people I know are busy raising families, running businesses, taking care of aging parents, pursuing hobbies, etc (we're in our 30's). I did find a local GC lesbian once. She said it was my "I only date natal women" and lack of preferred pronouns on my dating profile that caught her attention.
