Dang! This is a fantastic playlist. Here's mine, if you want to see if there's something to glean from it:

Problem is that I'm already persona non grata & blackballed in most places already. If I start anything, my name is attached to it, & everyone will be warned to stay away from me or else. This has already happened in other fandoms I'm in. I don't have powerful friends in the fandom to shield me, & I am too beaten down & tired to try to fight.

This is how they censor posts on reddit.... by swordofdamocles42 in MeanwhileOnReddit

The only thing Saidit doesn’t have that Reddit has is the fandom & hobby communities.

Well, that & a mobile app.

Once we get those two things, Reddit will wither & die as the inferior, abusive alternative.

Reddit refugee (8 years; finally banned for Wrongspeak), & I have some first impressions:

  • No avatars? No customization of your profile? That's disappointing. I like to see people's profile pictures.
  • Upvote/Downvote absence will take some getting used to, but I agree with your position that it "poisons" the discourse of a community. This gets an upvote lightbulb(?) from me.
  • This place desperately needs more "fun" topics. More fandom. More hobbies.
  • Post formatting is easy & intuitive. Very Discord-esque.
  • The ability to save posts, comments, etc. is so important to me on a social media site. This is the only platform I've tried that even comes close to what Reddit offered in utility.
  • Someone else mentioned it, but the Capchas here are a new level of eyestrain for us disabled humans. It's legible to someone nearsighted like me, but just barely. It's like trying to read a QR code on a background of T.V. static.

Overall I think I'll stick around, try to recover & rebuild what I had on Reddit. Thank you for making this platform & making it welcoming to all.
