Fiorela Liseth Díaz Díaz (32), a poultry businesswoman and mother of two children, was murdered on Sunday, July 18 by her ex-partner Elmer Lucano Llamas (33), when she was with her new partner and their two children at their home in the district of Guadalupe, province of Pacasmayo (La Libertad).

Lucano Llamas entered the house with a knife, went up to the couple's bedroom and attacked first the man, who ended up fleeing, and then attacked his ex-partner and stabbed her more than 30 times, seriously wounding her and causing her death.

After committing the crime, Lucano fled on the motorcycle driven by his cousin Salomon Llanos Cieza (26). The agents of the Highway Protection Division of Hualgayoc apprehended him at kilometer 75, in the sector called La Posada. In his first statements, Lucano said that he became cloudy when he saw his ex-partner with another man: "I arrived home and found her with another man. I don't know, I got cloudy and attacked her. I am sorry. My children are left alone," she said, but the investigations are showing that the femicide planned the murder of Fiorela Diaz. Surveillance cameras show the man taking a knife from the kitchen, sneaking up to the house and monitoring the security cameras before entering.
