lol saying it’s abnormal to hate men and bisexual women is weird on this subreddit apparently. No most men don’t hate women, and yes it is bad to hate people. And no the women were not abused, they said it was because they were very lesbian and therefore disgusted by touching girls who have been with men sexually even as friends.

Good luck in the world. I’m wondering what kind of place this is now, where it’s embarrassing to say that there’s something wrong with thinking other people should be hated and seen as disgusting. I wish there was a place for normal people who are just gay but I don’t know if it exists anymore. I don’t want to participate here from now on.

In truelesbians once I saw some people getting upvoted for saying that they almost vomit when they touch bi women because bi women have touched a penis. They said that it was because they were more gay than other lesbians so they’re so disgusted by it that they can’t even hug a bi woman as a friend. They weren’t trolls either I checked and they were very active in all gendercritical groups. Somebody criticized them and got downvoted.

So yes these people do exist and those people are very messed up. And they are in these kinds of groups too.

The social context of the two are different... but I would be skeptical of gay men who hate women too. It’s very strange to hate half of the world.

I criticize the bi community too and I don’t think most lesbians are biphobic, but in this group I have seen some really biphobic lesbians who treat them like they’re stupid or disgusting. But if anybody questions it they would say “oh you can’t force me to sleep with anybody” but that’s not the point, it’s that yes you can deny anyone, but if you stereotype every person in a group then that is stereotyping still.

It’s like if somebody doesn’t want to date any Mexicans because they say “all the Mexicans I met are lazy and I don’t want to take my chance with them, I would rather date a Chinese person that I know will work hard”. Then if a Mexican says hey what kind of assumption is that, they say “you Mexicans can’t force me to have sex with you!! I had a bad experience with you guys! This is my right!” Like yes feel free not to sleep with Mexicans but if you do it based on that stereotype, it is racist. Whereas if you wanted to just not sleep with Mexicans because you are Chinese and want to date someone who shares your background, that’s not racist. They can do whatever they want but they can’t do that and also say nobody can point out the racism

I think some of the people in this group just have a preference, but some I have seen get into really bad stereotyping.

It says a lot that this kind of homophobic post doesn’t get removed but anything questioning the treatment of lesbians (by either bi or trans people) is immediately silenced. The only acceptable target in the “lesbian community” seems to be the lesbians.

They would do anything, but they wouldn't date anything. They would bang her and leave. Men care a lot about the social status they get from who they date a lot of the time. even ugly men do this a lot. its easier to find a woman who will date you if you're extremely ugly (idk why you think im only talking about fat people) than a man because women are more likely to look past their partner's looks in relationships.

Tangent but uhhh I kinda do think some women say they’re lesbians because they’re ugly. Don’t get me wrong I am a lesbian and I don’t think these women are really lesbians, and I get that when men say this they usually mean that lesbians aren’t real and we all want men under whatever trauma or problem we have which is bs. But I do think there’s this thing where you see these women that are unusually ugly (For example super obese like 500 pounds), these 1/10 type girls, calling themselves lesbians at a higher rate than average people and it’s weird. Those are the types where if they lost weight and could get a bf, a lot of them would drop the lesbian label and say they’re bi imo

one thing with gay... they may be redefining it but most people dont know that from what i saw. like if someone says "im gay" the average Joe will think they are homosexual. but a lot of bisexuals say they're gay and say its fine because their community wants to make it an umbrella term. so they end up making people they meet think they are homosexuals and that homosexuals can like the opposite sex too.

The level of misinterpretation of pretty much everything I said is exhausting. It’s almost like you’re doing it on purpose.

  • fujoshi exist but that is a totally different issue. that’s more like trans women. straight men are not going around demanding to be called gay men but women are doing that to lesbians. There is a reason for that

  • who said I was just talking about abuse from men? we get the same shit from women. they often work with men to be predatory towards us. even if it was solely from men, women don’t get a free pass on purposely erasing gay people from their own definitions and spaces just because “men super bad!!”. Going around telling people lesbians like men too doesn’t stop being fucked up just because you’re a girl. especially when a lot of times they do that for homophobic reasons to begin with

  • aesthetic and tumblr is part of it too, but so is the sexualization of lesbians. it happens all the time.

  • so much for not making it a competition, with the “at least lesbians get to have partners”

  • they literally have like 50000 sexualities at this point and you’re seriously claiming they’re insisting on fighting for the word lesbian just because they have no other option? they’re being fought on this too. they just don’t give a shit about us. and they deserve to be called out for that.

You know, as a gay guy, it’s understandable why you wouldn’t feel the same way towards this issue. But using an experience that is entirely different to deny the experiences of lesbians, minimize every problem they bring up, and essentially tell them to shut up and get over it is fucked up. We already have almost nowhere where we can even talk because of these people (while gay men still have that). There is a reason why we are being affected differently than you on certain issues and a lot of it comes down to sexism and institutional power. People should not be shouted down and accused of wanting to be victims for acknowledging very obvious differences in treatment. Saying lesbians are more fetishized than gay men and that straight and bi women often pretend to be lesbians is objectively true. It isn’t an attack on gay men to speak about it in one of the only places we even have, against people who outnumber and harass us. Those are men AND women. That has nothing to do with being the bigger victim overall. It is a specific issue, and extremely obvious.

Yet it seems like you don’t even TRY to listen. Its extremely crappy, especially coming from someone who SO FREQUENTLY vents about their personal issues online. And I always upvoted you for it, even on drop the T. It would never occur to me to hear something like a gay man saying “we fear violence from straight men” and tell him to shut up because those lesbians on the bus in London got beat up, or say “well women fear it too so get over it”. But it seems like that’s very natural for you to do, and it’s a shame given that again, I’ve always been supportive (though a lurker) when I saw you talking about how you felt. I really hope you stop doing stuff like this.

[–]PopeyesChicken 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Lesbians care because we are already not taken seriously and assumed to be bisexual which leads to a lot of harassment, fetishization, invalidation and abuse. The number of bi and trans women abusing the lesbian label is adding to that VERY QUICKLY and also they outnumber us, so they can actually change the definition by doing this and essentially erasing us. They have a really easy time doing this too, as usually bi and trans women are the ones who are in charge of lesbian spaces.

As a dude, I think you have a totally opposite perspective on this because most people think all bi men are gay, hell they even think straight men who experimented once are gay for even thinking about it. So of course you wouldn’t see the problem because people dont take bi men seriously anyway, annnd gay men outnumber them in the community. Plus there is far less to be gained from falsely claiming to be a gay man, whereas lesbians are fetishized so a lot of straight and bi women like to say it to appeal to men. Hence why “bi lesbian” is a lot bigger than “bi gay”

TL;DR: almost all of the consequences for this are going to hit lesbians way more than gay men, so this seems tone deaf

Also, they can already use homoflexible and heteroflexible. They don’t want to. They want that lesbian label because it’s seen as sexy for women and their husbands like it.

This is a big pet peeve for me too! There are so many of them and it just looks so stupid. How can you be a lesbian when you have a husband? Does he think it’s that sexy that you keep saying it when you:

  • Sleep next to him every night

  • Have sucked his dick countless times

  • Have had his load in you countless times

  • Have probably given birth to his children

  • Took an oath that you would be with him until you die

  • Legally are part of his family

  • Legally, if you die, your property would go to him

  • Are in love with him

  • Love being with him more than any other person

Should I even go on lol. These women are so stupid.
