The question begs to be asked. Where's the new Joe Rogan sub going to be? Here or Ruqqus?

I saw a lot of Haters on saidit getting their rocks off and salivating at the idea that this intelligent, beautiful, powerful obsession of theirs would take an L (LOL) How does it feel to be wrong about pretty much everything, and still support a broken, soulless, corrupt, criminal u.s. oligarchy? by EndlessSunflowers in pics

Lol seeing posts like this reminds me of the old days of the internet. We need to be able to make fun of each other. People that take themselves too seriously are such a bore.

The Feds really need to look into busting a few tech monopolies. We need more competition for prosperity.

Lol I actually did 2 versions with the VHS distortion effect you're talking about. One was okay but made it illegible. The other effect really needs to be apart of a full motion video otherwise it looks off.

I currently got a phone wallpaper with the "okay" VHS effect on it. Phone backgrounds don't really need to be legible ;)

Depends how left wing you wanna go. I'm left wing, marginally, but still left wing. It takes active participation to make a community. You can voice your perspective here with no fear of downvotes. Which means people can't silence you, no matter how "right-wing" this website is. Not necessarily the same on ruqqus.

Here's a updated wallpaper and a sunny alternate. Changes are courtesy of the feedback I got from everyone here. Thanks, cheers.

So I go on both Saidit and Ruqqus and I can tell you right now Ruqqus is just as much right wing as Saidit is.

Just by setting the frontpage on Ruqqus to ALL this was one of the most upvoted posts from a Guild I wouldn't personally subscribe too : https://ruqqus.com/post/13hh/ruqqus-is-not-a-haven-for

But to each their own experience.

You're right, it has been apparent for many years now that Reddit had eclipsed its "reasonable" golden era. The only reason I hadn't left earlier was the lack of a decent alternative. Saidit looks like it could be that alternative. Chatting with you right now and seeing the responses of many of the other users in s/introductions has got me hopeful. I want people to disagree with me, and elaborate on their perspective. We're not infants. We can be reasonable even during extraordinary times.
